  1. I remember my first time around didn't work using the 1st post. There were later posts in that thread with different port numbers that got me up and running
  2. I have one of the newer white models and it took a little bit of port forwarding, but that thing is a life saver in DeWitt, MI. The info I used was on http://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/59464
  3. I waited for a source built CM9 for my E4GT, but I've been on board from build 1. I was also one of the very early "super bricks" from the EMMC data/system corruption bug with the new ICS update binary. After getting my phone replaced, I've been cautious, but with the GB based kernel/recovery/update-binary and the investigation being headed by sfhub over at xda, it looks like the bug is getting squashed. There is a new wifi related bug for battery drain that I think has been plaguing me. I turn off my wifi all the time because of the drain. I love being on the Cutting Edge, but it can be painful too
  4. Or if you have HSI, get an AirRave for that location to help out with coverage. I had to do that for my parents house because, while being listed as covered, its very spotty.
  5. Thanks for the follow up info, I was trying to figure out how Sprint paid Clear money to reduce their stock holdings.
  6. That drove me nuts on my BlackBerry. I have never thought about scrolling the path ahead to cache the maps, I will need to do that the next time I'm up in the U.P.
  7. I love the looks/specs of the GSIII, but with no NV sites in my area until later this year and next, I'm holding off. I still use WiMax frequently, so I can't throw that out the window quite yet.
  8. That is why I'm a sponsor and will continue to be one. The information here is well worth donations.
  9. Robert, do you or your contacts know how long it takes for network.sprint.com to update when work is completed in an area for band aid fixes?
  10. I know it is work, but 3G maps would be very informational.
  11. Those updates on network.sprint.com are not Network Vision upgrades, but "band aid" fixes of additional or new backhaul, voice, and data carriers. You might notice an uptick once those are completed, but there are much better things to come. If you donate and become a sponsor, there are detailed, zoomable google based maps for every market down to the street level.
  12. How much of a zoom lens do you have that you can get me a close up of the Clearwire panels? I have something similar to that in Lansing and want to make a comparison.
  13. I've seen the term "Boomer" a few different times around here. Is that some sort of a super tower?
  14. I say yes they are worth it, but not a full laptop replacement. I got a TF101 a year ago instead of getting a laptop (I have a work laptop) and am very happy with it. I can use it for most all functions I do, however, there are times that I need the laptop. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I use with the tablet when I have to do more intensive document or email work. I also find them very handy when working in 2X RDP to remote to Windows boxes on my home network and when VPN'd into work. The biggest issue I have with my tablet is Adobe Flash, streaming video from ESPN3 and less "clean" sporting events. When I really needed to ensure a clean viewing I would get my laptop out. It is very nice when I travel to only carry the tablet, cell phone, & a small bag of accessories
  15. My son has started singing that song, they learned it in preschool a few weeks ago. Very cute
  16. I call that breaking it down to construction paper and crayons
  17. CT? Robert, what I was doing was looking at the Nextel map and where it had a dark blue circle for "Best Nextel" I then looked at the Sponsor map here and in some cases, there was a Sprint tower dead in the middle of that best coverage. I assume that to be a co-located tower. Other times there was not and I assume that to be a Nextel only tower and prolly eliminated.
  18. Damn, I think I can correlate the co-located towers based on signal strength on the Nextel maps and the zoom-able maps in the sponsor section. Trying to figure out how my parents coverage will be once NV is in place. I had to get them an AirRave for in home use. They always had really good Nextel coverage, just trying to figure out if they have a Nextel only tower that is being eliminated.
  19. How can I determine where Nextel Towers are at? When viewing the Sprint maps, I can never find towers.
  20. You need to donate to become a sponsor and get access to that forum. Any donation gets you access for 6 months, donations totaling $100 gets you permanent access and Premier status
  21. Those speed tests have me drooling #jealous
  22. Try uploading to flickr then using the share option from their site and it gives you bbcode to use here
  23. Or drive around town and take before pictures of Towers and track their location?
