  1. Couldn't find much on this, so I went ahead an enabled B12 and rebooted. All seems fine so far. Last time I looked into this users were reporting boot loop upon enabling B12.
  2. Has anyone been able to get B12 enabled for LTE roaming without bricking this phone? Last I remember reading on this it was not possible, but that's been a while. I'll be going into a RRPP area (Bluegrass Cellular) this week, and wanted to search for it. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

  4. Here in Louisville, KY, we were supposed to get hammered by the northern edge of the storm. Thursday night they was calling for 10-14" where I live. By end of day Friday we might have had 3 or 4". Looks like you guys got my snow. On the other hand, since I work for a grocery company, the panic buying helps sales, which helps my bonus.
  5. Meanwhile we're on track for one of the warmest Decembers on record here in Louisville, KY. This is the first year I ever remember wearing shorts on Christmas and having the windows in the house open. I want my snow!!!
  6. I just got back to Louisville, saw the second carrier pretty consistently once I crossed the market line coming from Clarksville TN, all the way to just south of Louisville. I can't tell if its not live yet, or there's just too much other stuff that I haven't seen it yet. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  7. Great find! They must have fired it up this week. I've been watching since they changed the PCIs around, thinking this might be coming. I'm driving back from Nashville today, I'll see if I see it anywhere else coming up 65. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  8. Same for me as well. Won't stay open long enough to send report. Even tried a clean install. Nexus 6 5.1.1. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for confirming CA. We've seen the second carrier live for awhile now, but none of us in the premier thread in Louisville have CA capable phones. The second carriers is widespread at this point, so I would assume CA would be as well. Let us know if you keep seeing it. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  10. I may be going out to do some work at the Kroger there in a few weeks. Not sure which one of my team is going to make the drive. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  11. I've noticed a lot of our 8t8r sites now broadcasting the B41 second carrier. I'm not sure about CA, since my phone doesn't support it. should be a fairly quick roll out for sites that can support it. Those two EARFCNs seem to be the standard so far. I haven't noticed any deviation from it yet anywhere.
  12. Also, FWIW, B41 deployment in Louisville has pretty much come to a halt since late January. Seems the priority changes have shifted the schedule a lot. And we have several sites running sub 2mbps. It should pick back up at some point this year for both markets I would think. On the other hand, Sprint B41 has been popping up like wildfire around Nashville.
  13. I haven't heard or noticed anything yet. For the most part, the network seems to be holding pretty good with just B25/B26 in the parts of the market I've been to for work. My only bad spot is whenever I'm working in the new Kroger on Euclid Ave in Lexington. There is a Sprint site within a quarter of a mile but I can barely hold LTE up on the main floor, and when I'm down in basement its either no signal or roaming on Verizon. We even installed a signal booster for management but it didn't seem to do much good.
  14. There is one remaining legacy tower active in Shepherdsville. They have put NV equipment up at another location nearby but have yet to turn it on. The LTE in Shepherdsville is from other neighboring sites, mostly due to B26 coverage. The heart of Shepherdsville is the worst spot.
  15. Its been on several times on fox and FS1 with the Sprint Unlimited coverage. Its still better than the old commercials.
  16. LTE should be going live soon in Shepherdsville finally. Noticed today they relocated to a different location and installed new equipment. Pictures and more details in the sponsors thread. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4956-kentucky-nashville-maps-and-stats/?p=393703
  17. Just noticed it was an iPhone. Another reason why I'll never own one. I guess the last part of what I said could still be used if he can see the TAC.
  18. For our Ericsson/Nokia sites, the TAC is the same for B25/B41. Only B26 is different, usually +50 from the B25 TAC. If your just trying to determine if the site is Clear vs 8T8R, look at the beginning of the GCI for the site. I'll use the Nashville Market as an example. In Nashville, B25/B26 sites begin with 058, 8T8R sites in Nashville begin with 059, and Clear sites are completely different, beginning with 02D. If the TAC is similar to your B25 TAC, it could be a nearby site across a TAC boundary, or if it is very different, it is likely a Clear site. Hope this helps.
  19. Update on Shepherdsville site, still no changes to this site as far as I can tell. Its getting close to the two year mark of Windstream trenching in fiber to this site. Its sad that so many sites have been converted but are waiting on backhaul to turn on LTE while this site sits 100% legacy with fiber waiting for almost two years. Hopefully something will happen after the first of the year. I have noticed a few GMOs and some of the other remaining legacy sites have appeared on the NV schedule in the premier sponsors section.
  20. With the newest beta, Sprint bands seem right, however with my T-Mobile Sim it says I'm on LTE 850.
