I am curious about the silver circle. Hopefully that is a fingerprint scanner. Also I would like to see and confirm if the Nexus 5 2015 will use the USB Type-C port.

 

According to almost every leak that is a fingerprint scanner. Almost all are also stating that the device will ship with USB-C. I think Google said at the Chromebook Pixel launch that all of its devices going forward would have USB-C.

Also. Has anyone seen pricing as far as what it will cost to add an sd card slot? I really want to get back to android after being on iOS but leaving 64gb for 16gb just won't work for me. I'd rather have the expandable memory than built in if it's more cost effective to do so.

It doesn't cost more to add an SD card slot. I believe the memory size costs $50 per upgrade.

I'll be honest, as an employee of an "Authorized Retailer" I always take offense when people make this argument. I have been here since Nextel (remember the $30 phone swaps?) and I have always strived to provide the best experience available in my market.

 

I'm not trying to down play your experiences, just wanted to speak up for all the reps out there that actually give a s*** about you.

As a former manager of a Preferred Retailer I have to agree. Happy customers are repeat customers. I went out of my way to make it the best experience for my customers. Saying all Sprint stores suck is about as accurate as saying the Sprint network sucks. Broad statements are generally not accurate.

So am I to believe that the white edge + is not even going to be available for Sprint. I only see the gold and the black one on the pre order page!

As it stands today (8/13/15) only the Gold and Black will be available for the S6+. Obviously this can change in the future.

Apparently it isn't available on any of the US Carriers from what I've seen this morning.

Shouldn't be. If the rep has an issue doing the Framily upgrade have him call NSS prior to the transaction to verify it.

I tried to get a new phone in easy pay from Best Buy, but they said they can't work with Framily. True? Any work around?

It can be done. Best Buy can not do the early upgrades that involve device giveback on Sprint. As for regular upgrades, the rep just needs to process the Easy Pay upgrade and call NSS to have the plan put back on. Most reps don't understand Framily. It was a short lived plan, on one carrier, that not many people signed up for. Obviously new employees are not going to know a thing about it. And employees that have been there a while may know a little bit, but remember in a lot of markets Sprint is the least popular of the carriers. The time spent with Sprint plans is limited for most.

Have past MotoX's had unlockable bootloader (official from Motorola)? I've decided my next phone must offer this so I am already planning on going with a 2015 Nexus. However, I got to play with a 2014 MotoX and it is a splendid phone, so I could definitely consider a 2015 model as a close competitor.

When I broke my M7 and went to Best Buy for a replacement they said I qualify for a $19 (better than the original Sprint $15) loyalty credit if I leased or went Easy Pay.

Just to clarify, you only get the Loyalty Credit if you lease. It does not apply to Easy Pay.

Well, put me down as g4 user. Order is processing so I'll likely not have it before 4th, but it's on the way. I guess i need to wait until i actually activate the device before going to try the promo stuff?

Am i understanding correctly that since i opted for the metallic back, i also get a leather back, battery,charger and sd card once it arrives? Or do you only get the leather if you choose a leather device to begin with?

The one that has been getting the most buzz is Universal-Filtered OFDM (UF-OFDM).

UF-OFDM is not nearly as catchy as LTE. When VZW launches it will be XUF-OFDM.

Pull the battery. Boot into recovery by holding the volume up button while turning on. This should bring you into recovery. From there you can navigate the menu with the volume buttons. Select the factory reset option. Press power to confirm.

Is there a way to factory reset the Mega outside of using the screen. I dropped mine, and the screen isn't functional, and I've got the LG G3.

What do you mean by not functional? Doesn't respond to touch, or doesn't display anything?

So I tried to get my msl code and they won't let me cause I'm leasing the phone. So if there is anyone out there that is not leasing it and has the code would you please share. Thanks.

I doubt this is anything store employees will be aware of.

Store employees should be aware of it, but is nothing they can add on.

No Framily upgrades at Best Buy, Sprint took that away. You might have been able to preorder but when you go in you will have to switch to one of the new plans. Only Sprint Corp stores can touch Framily. Even if you do easy pay, doesn't make sense, I have Framily can't do anything at my Best Buy.

Sprint branded Preferred Retailers can also process upgrades for Framily.
