  1. This is the sprint bloatware download, it installs sprint tv and such
  2. For those wondering free space available on the phone is 27.4GB
  3. This is by far the best sounding phone I have ever had. My roommate cannot believe that my phone speakers sounded that good. Sounds better/louder than my 17 in macbook pro
  4. Ok after screwing around I can confirm that it switches antenna's when I make a call. Can it not use antenna 1 when connected to LTE? because that might be a problem.
  5. Well I am getting about a 25dbm loss of signal when I hold the phone on the bottom. I am going from 75-80 to 100-105. This from the 1x engineering screen
  6. Well I will get the thread started, anybody want me to do anything with the phone before I get to rooting it? I am in Columbia SC for a while so no LTE
  7. The day pre orders opened in the afternoon got a silver one. Was shipped UPS next day PM.
  8. Got my tracking email phone will get here Today
  9. Mind citing what law requires Sprint to take the "better" offer? Are you licensed to practice law?
  10. Another reason may be with spectrum leases, 5% of capacity on the spectrum lease must be made available for educational use. Requiring a buildout of all leased frequencies within each 35 mile license area. "EBS licensees must adhere to the following substantive use requirements, which are designed to maintain the traditional educational purposes of ITFS: There must be a minimum of 20 hours per 6 MHz channel per week of educational use of EBS spectrum. For analog facilities, EBS licensees must retain a right to recapture an additional amount of 20 more hours per channel per week capacity for educational purposes. For digital facilities, the EBS licensee must reserve at least 5% of its transmission capacity for educational purposes. The EBS licensee must retain responsibility for compliance with FCC rules regarding station construction and operation. Only the EBS licensee can file FCC applications for modifications to its station’s facilities. The EBS licensee must retain some right to acquire the EBS transmission equipment, or comparable equipment, upon termination of the lease agreement."
  11. If it's just lease spectrum I fully support it and it would be good for Sprint/Clearwire/Dish/Softbank. Sprint on its own does not have the market clout to get 2500 built into phones affordably if they are the only carrier using that spectrum in the US. Look at what Sprint had to do to get the Iphone, will Apple build 2500 into a phone for Sprint without significant concessions again? And considering the New Sprint spectrum holding divesting some leased spectrum might not be a bad thing in the FCC eyes. *With ATT having WCS would the FCC really block a lease transfer? Especially given that with a Max lease of 15 years the carriers will all get a fair shot at it again in the future? *Edit, transfer subject to reasonable buildout requirements of course*
  12. Hard to see the sarcasm when so many people have been spouting this off as a legitimate chance over the last year And Apple would love to get rid of Google could you see them owning Sprint and selling Android?
  13. This is dreaming, why would ATT/Verizon/Tmobile Sell a phone made by a direct competitor to their business. And why would two high margin businesses want to get involved in the low margin/low growth cut throat wireless business.
  14. Softbanks offer is entirely paid for by debt as well though. Whats the difference, Softbank is leveraged to their eyeballs already. The spectrum holdings of a Dish/Sprint makes me excited, in the end possibly owned (not leased) spectrum exceeding all other U.S. carriers. *Edit* I am very concerned with Dish management though, they would be wise to keep most/all/Hesse to manage Sprint.
  15. Ordered the silver here, I abuse phones to much to get black
  16. I use Wifi and bluetooth frequently for Pandora never had an issue, what would prevent the antenna from being used if Wifi and BT were not transmitting/receiving on the same channels?
  17. I have horrible experience with micro usb cables going bad right when I need them. Plus for wireless charging I am not concerned with charge time when I put it on my night stand every night and it is charged in the morning. Regarding inefficiency assuming full power draw non stop it costs me a $1.20 a month for a phone charger. (If I need to buy power that month I have solar panels and only need to buy power 3 months out of the year).
  18. Why no wireless charging I will buy it though I have 3 upgrades available this year.
  19. Sweet I have an old refurb feature phone laying around that Sprint gave me.
