  1. Not until all sites are live 4G with fiber back haul, we won't know if it is in fact a capacity issue with the back haul or the limited spectrum. From my personal experience in San Diego, when a site does go live with 4G and a neighboring site is not live with 4G it does get congested. It will provide 4G coverage for a larger area until neighboring sites does go live.
  2. thanks for pointing it out. i did confuse others. its fixed.
  3. Here is an example of good quality speeds, ping and very great dBm. This particular site is surrounded by several other live 4G sites so it does not suffer from being overloaded.
  4. Most likely your connected to a 4G site that is farther away with a -115dBm LTE connection or worse and that site is providing coverage to a huge area. It will improve once more 4G sites do go live nearby which will take the load off that particular site in question. Here's a link regarding your 4G bars. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ I would highly recommend documenting in dBm using SignalCheck app instead the bars on your phone. Most phones bar quality is actually your voice quality. If anything worse than -115dBm LTE, you will get slower pings along with slower speeds and failed speed test. From the sponsors map I don't see many live 4G sites in Aliso Viejo, CA. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/517-nv-sites-complete/ All accepted 3G sites in your area most likely does not have fiber back haul in place so pings and speeds will suffer.
  5. New live 4G site on Garnet Ave and 5 Freeway getting pretty fast speeds. Getting 30Mpbs+ going both directions towards PB and Clairemont. Mapped Balboa Ave, Garnet Ave and Genesee Ave. Looks like Clairemont will get better 4G coverage once 3 more sites come live. Sites at Clairemont Square, Balboa Ave/Genesee, Clairemont Dr/Balboa Ave are taking forever which will give full 4G coverage throughout Clairemont area.
  6. I think it is account related, I recall someone posting on S4gru with similar issues in the past. At the end result, it was an account related issue and was not the phones.
  7. Pretty good speeds! Sprint needs to launch the LD-LTE network and show 100Mbps speeds!
  8. Pretty slow speeds sitting in front of the tower. Try a different sector at that site. Usually be getting 30Mpbs+ here in San Diego if sitting in front of a site. Have gotten 37Mpbs+ at many sites at your signal level.
  9. We are 16 months into our contract and the Upgrade Now was not available. If you contact care, you can buy into it early to get the 20 month upgrade. We just got this done for $50 to get our upgrade early. At the end, we got the normal upgrade early without going through "Upgrade Now" option.
  10. Went to another Sprint store, they still offer the Upgrade Now. Seems like only some reps know about it.
  11. Is this upgrade option still available? Went to Sprint corp store today and they said was discontinued long ago.
  12. And San Diego is not getting 800Mhz anytime soon which cannot cover the gap. 4G coverage has not improved for the past 3-6 months. They need to hurry up with the 4G coverage. Voice hasn't been so great lately, getting too many drop calls. Pre-NV we rarely drop calls, now today when driving cannot even hold on a call.
  13. Crazy 800Mhz voice coverage out there. How is the services compared to 2 years ago?
