Wow, that is awesome to see. 1.4MHz is pretty tiny. Roughly 10.5Mbps peak speeds. . Gotta be hard there for coverage. Wonder if they are adding towers. SoLINC has 10MHz? Thought they had less than 10MHz. Would be cool if they used Sprint's B26. I don't see Sprint being able to roam on that at all. If they do, it won't be as an extended LTE partner. But they might. There are some other carriers Sprint is supposed to eventually be roaming on in the SE like Public Service Data Wireless, Pinebelt Wireless, Farmers Telecommunications so could reduce the number of those that see SoLINC.

Is all of Sprint's equipment current to even support VoLTE? Can VoLTE be ran on B26? Wondering if equipment is the limitation as to why they are doing VoIP on LTE, and not just going to VoLTE to begin with. Some equipment not able to hit the Release vs for VoLTE? -
You are really only going to spend $5500 if you like do dual GPUs, 6+ core Intel processor, and nmve SSD of a large capacity or do some crazy custom case build. Or including a solid 4k monitor? i7-7820X plus solid motherboard will be about $800 Titan is $1200 512GB m.2 nvme $600 case+psu $300 3x 4TB $300 That there is just over $3k. Could easily save $600 by going with the as good 1080Ti. But really for emulators, they do need power, but from your experience, that was a long time ago. Two GPU architecture generations (GeForce 700 same architecture as the 600) and on maybe Dolphin 4? Dolphin 5 is out with huge boost in power. Anything older, doesn't need a whole lot. Even DC emulators run fantastic on mobile phones these days at 60fps.

Are the mini-macro B41 gear not as good as the 8t8r stuff in terms of coverage? Powerout and such? Can the mini's do beamforming even? Just curious cause the part of town that has mini B41, going inside a store (walmart or food city) drops to B25, yet where the 8t8r sites are at, I still get B41 inside stores (lowes, walmart, hhgregg, etc) all located in different areas around the tower. Maybe the mini's aren't at full power yet? They seem to have decent coverage outside.

TLC could be decent, just not sure what panels they use. Im sure the Element TVs will be ok from Amazon. As far as the Samsung do you get any kind of functionality added functionality outside of say a Chromecast, and a phone with an IR blaster (like my V20). I don't have a SmartTV yet, but that will never have access to my network. Plus I have a reciever, so the TV stuff wouldn't be used anyways.

The younger generations, including myself, LOVE shopping online. It's the way to go. Making online shopping experience easier and faster, these teir one providers need to accomplish. MVNOs survive and thrive off being online only, or being a piece of plastic next to the gift cards. I fully understand needing to keep stores around, but leave that up to 3rd party retailers or something. Maybe Sprint is doing? In my city, there are like almost a dozen Sprint stores in the area, but only one of them is actually corperate. What is annoying though is when a 3rd party can't do something, they send you to the corperate. That should be fixed as well.

Something in Chattanooga would be awesome. Sprint here has 1.5Mhz / 7.5MHz / 5MHz blocks in PCS.

But, does LG do firmware upgrades. Firmware upgrades seem to be a bit more popular from OEMs these days, and they can help greatly. It is a new panel, if one could trust LG to release a firmware upgrade later on, that set could potentially be better than last years display. It's a gamble for sure when it comes to that. But I have at least noticed for rtings that newer firmware upgrades is helping a lot with improving latency.

It is actually a great time to be buying 2016 models if you can find them. Especially if you aren't going to be buying high end truely new models coming 2017. Samsung's MU series is largely just a 2017 rebadge. The deals are as good/better than BlackFriday. Everyone is clearing out 2016 stock for 2017. Just this last weekend on slickdeals the 55KU6300 was on sale for $185 at Walmart. The replacing MU is $800. The 40KU6300 was found so often for $250, the replacing MU is on "sale" for $450.

It would be 25MHz of 700. B12 is 10x10 and B29 is unpaired, just 5MHz. No LTE on B5 yet!? Seems like way too much HSPA.

Don't really get the buzz about that phone. It's expensive, has the same hardware as other flagships. Ok, has a unique screen layout which is cool, but a lot of phones are coming out with unique features like LGs 2nd screen, HTC squeeze, Samsung edge display, Blackberry keyboards, etc. It isn't modular which I have been hearing about but is going to be accessory "rich", which hasn't panned out at all for ah lets say oh Motorola! Some other phones have accessories like some older Windows Nokia phones and the G5 which didn't help them at all.

After being in East Kentucky over the weekend, it really hammers how how horrible the TMobile coverage map is, and it isn't even 700A coverage! Once they get 700A deployed there, I if the map doens't change at all, it will be a little more accurate, but still far from it.

Exercised that extended LTE well this weekend. Used 6GB a lone on tether. Brother has 3Mbps internet and AW was giving me 15~20Mbps so kept all our devices on my tether. Really dig the new unlimited plan. Man, I totally forgot to Sensorly the LTE coverage. Shoot. What equipment is capable of 25+25CA? I forgot that in KY they have two 5x5 carriers on B25, but there is no CA on it.

There is huge lack of specification in the 50% claim. Its most likely more of a nationwide average. Holdings vary so much, and only so much will be deployed in those areas. VZW Tweeted last year that they are using like 90MHz of LTE in NYC, which is something like 80% of their spectrum holdings there. There really is no nationwide set amount of spectrum usage. It is market by market.

VZW has added a couple new macros by me. Need it for VoLTE and to have the same or better coverage once 3G is turned off.

Verizon EVDO roaming now?

Lately I have successfully roamed on EVDO data on VZW in North East Alabama and East Kentucky. -
LTE works in East Kentucky. Coverage is so-so. Speeds are solid ~20Mbps. It is fairly new fresh deployment, haven't run into 700A and grabbed onto even HSPA+.

Appalachian Wireless LTE works like a charm. Oddly enough, 3G speeds are capped. I got a little VZW EVDO and successfully roamed.

Oh yeah, I know that. There is no hand off from VoLTE to 1x just like there was no hand off from WiFi to 1x or 1x to WiFi. I'm just saying, Republic Wireless got WiFi to 1x and 1x to WiFi hand off working, and the method they used I'd imagine would be usable with VoLTE.

Republic Wireless got WiFi to 1x down pretty damn good. I think they were even had 1x to WiFi before transitioning to TMobile and their new call patching technique. IIRC a second call would go through over the alternate technology and switch during the call. Usually a small delay but way better then dropping the call outright.

What Sprint could do is go back to all the markets and cornfields that don't need 8T8R equipment, throw up the mini-macs and reuse that 8T8R gear where it is more needed. :/ I think getting this mini-mac on all their towers is great. But just imagine if they did this to start with, and then were to now be replacing those with the 8T8R (or better) gear on a tower by tower basis.

I think it makes sense in areas that don't need gear that can do more. Cheaper, lighter, etc. I'd rather see more of those then fewer 8T8R gear. 40MHz is 160Mbps. If they change to Config 1, that's 220Mbps. Even more if this stuff can do 256QAM.

With the new mini macro B41 antennas they are deploying that can only do 2xCA 2T2R, what is the point in changing out Clear gear that can already do 2xCA? Even those that can only do 1xCA if they provide plenty of bandwidth during peak hours.
