  1. The round table format ate hairy spiders when drunk. Its towers became bloated after swallowing a mouthful
  2. If any of you have an account on iFans might of have seen this there. Anyway, here's how it goes- The first person (me) posts a word. The next person puts that word followed by another. It keeps going and going. Example: Person 1: The Person 2: The large Person 3: The large girl Person 4: The large girl ate You may add punctuation where it is appropriate. ONLY ONE WORD MAY BE ADDED AT A TIME. NO DOUBLE POSTING! Everything needs to remain appropriate and follow the forum rules. Also, there is no need to quote the person before you. Just copy and paste the post before you and add your word. If the event happens where two people post the next word at the same time, it is up to the next person to post which version to use. So, here is the first word: The.....
  3. Almost all of the towers in Baltimore are back up, but before, I could place outgoing calls while roaming perfectly... Sound was a bit tinny though.
  4. These were taken with my crappy 3GS camera in April-
  5. Most likely a test. There were similar blips in Baltimore. Just getting ready.
  6. Almost every tower I've seen has an identifier. All of VZWs have huge signs with "Verizon Wireless" written on them. At my home tower (for Sprint and TMobile), everything was very clearly marked. There was the sign I mentioned above for Sprint on the building where I believe Sprint equipment is housed, and T-Mobile written in Sharpie on some equipment. This used to be a Nextel tower too, but I think it's been decommissioned. This tower is owned by Baltimore Gas and Electric.
  7. Walk up to it and check for a emergency number or a name. There's usually a sign saying "in case of emergency, call Sprint PCS at x-xxx-xxx-xxxx.
  8. In most areas they would most likely attempt a handoff to a nearby Sprint tower. Or drop the call.
  9. I imagine it is very rare that voice is overloaded. But I don't believe Sprint would do this. From a financial point of view, that would cost them more money- roaming on Verizon is not free, and certainly not cheap for Sprint.
  10. I would reactivate mine in a heartbeat if it can do LTE. Especially at $50 for unlimited.
  11. The main reason for your 3G slowdown is insufficient backhaul as well as overloaded carriers. Backhaul to legacy Sprint sites is powered by bundled T1 lines. Whenever someone reports slow data, they add a T1 line. And thats if you're lucky. Obviously, that is not a permanent solution. It slows down again within a week or two. With Network Vision, backhaul will be upgraded to either fiber or microwave. These are both capable of way more then one cell site needs, and are easily expandable. The 3G will share the LTE backhaul though. This will lead to increased 3G speeds, along with all the LTE goodness.
  12. He said there was a special plan for it- $39.99 I believe. You get 300 minutes. I guess you could start with this then switch over to a smartphone plan...
  13. Since when was there a database of Clear towers? EDIT: Just saw the site, new coverage map! That's very helpful. Never realized coverage was so "swiss cheesy".
  14. I asked a rep, and he informed be that this was possible, but only with a non smartphone.
  15. I believe he wants an iPhone. You can't get an iPhone from Boost at all. Virgin only has the 4S.
  16. It'll come eventually. If you can get a strong 3G signal in the office, you will have a nice LTE connection as well.
  17. LTE in Chicago has already been (soft)launched. Coverage is not complete in some parts of Chicago, but coverage will be filling in, tower by tower. If you are asking about the LTE speed, you won't be disappointed. In any situation, if you have a LTE signal, you have way more then enough speed for a smartphone. EDIT: Fixed an error.
  18. My 3G isn't working. Took a drive around my area, and both 3G and LTE don't work unless I turn off LTE. I think it maybe a problem with the 4G core? EDIT: Now with LTE off, I'm getting this message: Very weird... Maybe the tower I'm connected to?
  19. I still have power, lucky me! To be honest, I expected a lot worse... At the moment, my phone is switching between my home tower and another one, and occasionally roaming. The other tower was down for like 5 hours last night though. I even got -119 LTE for a second, but it immediately switched away. Rain is picking up a bit, not much wind right now.
