  1. For your second question, the Sprint iPhone 6 is still sold locked to Sprint, and needs to be unlocked for international use. Domestic use in the United States on carriers other than Sprint in the US is not currently possible (and probably never will be).
  2. It does have that "4G" 7.2 HSPA though. EDIT: Actually they didn't start calling it "4G" until the iPhone 4, did they... EDIT2: Quick Google shows that I was way off, it was the 4S and HSPA 14.4.
  3. That won't work while on an active phone call though.
  4. Sorry if this is a stupid question... but I've had iPhones for years and I can't figure out how to get into Field Test while on a phone call. Enlighten me please?
  5. 8t8r stands for 8 transmit 8 receive. The main advantage of 8t8r antennas is that the signal is usable closer to the edge of the service area. (There are other advantages, but I'm not sure of them.)This combined with the wide 20 mhz B41 carriers can provide average speeds around 50Mbps.
  6. Haven't seen 4 TX antennas yet, and I've been checking every time I get an LTE connection. It's either empty or 2... Is it possible that the few dead sites are 8T8R?
  7. I'm pretty sure it's 100% Clearwire conversions. Everywhere I've found B41 has happened to be pretty close to what used to be a WIMAX tower. Also I've noticed that some B41 sites in/around Baltimore don't work... at all. It's consistent too, the three dead sites are always dead. Pretty annoying.
  8. It would make sense if b25 was at full capacity and there's no b41 signal. Then b26 would be used even if there's a good b25 signal. The network decides what band you will connect to, not the phone.
  9. When I got my phone on the 19th, I purposely left the plastic on until I received my case and it took me three days to realize why the call volume was so low. Needless to say, I felt pretty dumb for about an hour after that.
  10. Looks like they're finally getting some 6+ stock in. Better late than never!
  11. He was told mid-October for his phone, this is quite a bit earlier.
  12. My friend ordered a couple days before launch, and he received a tracking number yesterday, and it's expected to arrive tomorrow (UPS 2-Day Air). So you'll probably get a tracking number when it ships.
  13. Unfortunately it's locked domestically. This was an active prepaid T-Mobile SIM inserted in a Sprint 6+.
  14. Same issue here, at least there's not much 3G information that i care about.
  15. Tmo SIM in Sprint 6+ is a no go. Same error as on the 5 and 5s.
  16. Lots of dropped calls starting yesterday here at home.. Maybe the notoriously terrible Rt 40 & Rolling Road site is finally getting NV'd? That would be a dream come true.
  17. This is proving harder than expected. I can't get the damn tray out. My paper clips are too weak and they bend before the tray pops out.
  18. I'm going to try to put my Tmo data SIM in my 6+ and see what happens. Probably not gonna work, but worth a try.
  19. I'm pretty sure this isn't an iPhone 6 issue, I've gotten up to 5Mbps upload on b25 on my 6+. Probably isolated to the 6 in the San Diego market, or it's just your phone.
  20. I don't see why this is such a big problem. When you bend an object... it bends. And if it's a metal, it doesn't return to it's original form. Is this not common knowledge?!
  21. Finally got my first taste of band 41. And boy it is sweet.
  22. Updated, no issues here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'm not sure why mapping isn't supported, the CoreTelephony API in iOS 7 gives access to the carrier name, signal strength (though it's in "bars" rather than RSRP) and access to the type of data connection (1X, EVDO, LTE). It wouldn't be a perfect solution, but still better than nothing. Sent from my iPhone using T
  24. It's still letterboxed on my iPhone 5 Sent from my iPhone using T
