CellularInfo for iOS: Beta Released (was Coming soon)
nahum365 replied to nahum365's topic in Apple/iPhone/iOS
It's hit or miss unfortunately. I'm not sure what else I can do besides displaying what iOS is reporting. -
CellularInfo for iOS: Beta Released (was Coming soon)
nahum365 replied to nahum365's topic in Apple/iPhone/iOS
Just uploaded a new beta. I've only tested this version for a day so expect bugs haha. I would've waited until I was sure of stability, but I wanted to add more devices but couldn't without including these new features. Enjoy (hopefully)! -
CellularInfo for iOS: Beta Released (was Coming soon)

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly. Would that make 3 aggregated 20Mhz carriers "20+20+20 MHz"? Uh oh. Not sure what happened there. I don't think the last digit got kicked off. Maybe iOS just formats it differently? Is it normal for the B41 market ID to be different from the B25/26 market ID? B25/26 seems to be 20 (020) Sprint B41 seems to be 34 (034). The 34 is always followed by a D (034D) so maybe that's a part of the Sector ID? Also.. Clear B41 varies quite a bit. I haven't noticed a pattern between them at all. EDIT: Man I need to proofread better. -

It's not really a dark mode, just dark by default. But yeah I'll just make it 20 MHz. Also I'll make the font size customizable because personally I prefer it small. I can just make the Apple-provided dBm/ signal dots update more frequently. That would probably be more accurate than my calculated dBm levels. -

MCC of 310 & MNC of 120 is Sprint, anything else is Clear. Seems to be accurate from what I've seen so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Sorry about the image size, tapatalk doesn't let you change it. But can someone confirm that there's no problems here? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I agree; I'll work on a "dark theme". The app needs a lot of work. I've been mostly focused on optimizing the widget because iOS allocates a very small amount of CPU power and memory to it. I'm planning to add new devices to the list once a day. You'll get an email when you're able to download it. The link is https://betas.to/vvkvE5F5. Please don't sign up more than one device: I have a limited amount of registration spots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Did you have to restore your iPhone? My 6+ is supposedly ISU'd but I can't use any other SIMs in it. I'd rather not restore because I value my jailbreak haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bandwidth measurements are incorrect. Working on that now. Usually works fine on FDD LTE though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It should work on all LTE networks. Also works on Verizon EVDO. No GSM support yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I don't trust my dBm levels for EVDO/eHRPD. It calculates them itself because the OS doesn't give a hard dBm value. LTE is exact though. My phone does that all the time, might be an issue with your phone in particular. There's a "Refresh Time" setting in the app, the widget uses that. It's 2 seconds by default. I'm working to have it refresh whenever the baseband reports new data. Show LTE Band is jailbreak only, and it's proving to be a hard feature to implement. I'll see if I can get it done. The code for that feature isn't enabled, no way is that working for you. You can see "B25", "B26", or "B41" in your status bar instead of just "LTE"? It's supposed to, but I've never seen it say Sprint B41 yet. Maybe one of you will. ALSO: I don't believe the LTE bandwidth is reported correctly. I'm probably just interpreting the value from the baseband incorrectly. -

Alright uploaded the first build. Everyone that's included should've gotten another email, use that to download it. The icon is a work in progress sorry Oh, and for those of you who don't know, you can access the notification center widget by opening NC, pressing the "Edit" button at the bottom of the "Today" tab, and adding CellularInfo to your enabled widgets. Also, just found out about this: anyone who I haven't added to the list can use this link to add yourself. From there I'll get a notification to add you to my developer account and then you'll be given access. Much easier on my side. https://betas.to/vvkvE5F5 -

You're definitely not the only one, iOS 8.1.3 is known to cause battery issues. Another reason to stay on 8.1.2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually it doesn't require a jailbreak. The jailbreak features (which aren't complete anyway) are just disabled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Still working on it. The un-sandboxed (jailbreak) portions of it are proving to be harder than I thought they would be. Buuuut because I'm extremely busy right now, I'm willing to distribute it to individual devices. Basically just the Notification Center widget, no fancy features without root access. Anyone that wants to try it can just PM me their email and I'll get you set up. -
Purchased from Sprint.com in September 2012. Popped in the SIM, immediately connected to Band 13 but any attempts to use data lead me to an activation page.

Considering this is the DC market thread, I'm pretty sure he's referring to Reagan National Airport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Put an inactive VZW SIM in my old "internationally" unlocked iPhone 5 and it started taking me through an activation process. Not sure if it would work, interesting though. EDIT: (Fixed image size)

The one unlock every 12 months isn't enforced: I've unlocked 5 devices in the past two weeks. Technically those were international unlocks but the rule supposedly applies to international too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
