  1. Well so much for Apple's amazing customer service. Walked in 10 minutes late after a bit of traffic and was informed that my appointment had been cancelled and they couldn't accommodate me until Monday at the earliest. 10 minutes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Emails should have been sent out a couple minutes ago. Everyone who was waiting for their UDID to be added should now be able to download using the newest email or the "Beta" app on your home screen. Also, thanks to everyone who contributed to get me to the Premier Sponsor level, I really appreciate it!
  3. Well this is what betas are for! Uploading now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Trying to get a T-Mo wideband signal as we speak. No luck so far. I might just have to upload this version as many people are waiting to be able to download it.
  5. 20 minutes trying to figure it out and I wasn't able to come up with that. Seems to be right, thanks!
  6. Alright, I hope someone can help me understand these bandwidth numbers. On Sprint B25 and B26, it reports the bandwidth as "25". On Sprint B41 it reports "100". On Verizon B13 it reports "50". On T-Mobile B4 it also reports "50". Currently I'm just taking the square root of these numbers, and that's what's displayed (that's why 7 x 7 is shown for VZW and T-Mo 10x10). Any ideas on how else to interpret these numbers?
  7. Thanks! I now have my newly unlocked old iPhone 5 that I can use for testing Verizon, so I'll try to resolve the bandwidth issue (as well as the inconsistent Cell IDs) this weekend. Will do. I could use that space for the PCI, or I could combine it with the GCI line. Depends on how much new info I can dig up from the undocumented depths of the iOS CoreTelephony framework. 8. In case anyone was wondering, these betas have do an expiration date. They should work fully until late August when my developer account expires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone else having issues with their phone randomly turning off?? It's happened to me at 76%, 42%, and 39% (battery). I've restored 3 times trying to fix this, first to 8.1.2 a couple weeks ago, then to 8.3b3 earlier this week, and today to 8.1.3. When I try to turn it back on after it randomly shuts off, it doesn't do anything, but it turns on when I plug it in (and when it boots up, battery percentage hasn't changed). I just scheduled a Genius Bar appointment, hopefully my replacement is miraculously on 8.1.2. Even if it's not, 8.2 betas 2&3 are jailbreakable so I can jump onto that and continue CellularInfo jailbreak development. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Didn't even think of that, good idea. Shouldn't be hard to find as long as it's shown in field test. I'm not sure what's going on with the GCI. Right now I'm on B25 and it's showing 7 digits, but I've also noticed it show 7 on B41 (both sprint and clear). I'm just going to look for an alternate source for the GCI.
  11. I started this with a UI that fits the 6/6+ screen size so it was extremely easy. Some apps have complicated UIs and they're completely redesigning them for the 6/6+, which is why they're taking so long. Thanks for the support!
  12. So that wasn't just me. Good to know, I'll fix that soon. Also, something changed in CoreTelephony in 8.3 beta. The API I use to grab the data returns "NULL". I don't think there's anyone included in the CellularInfo beta that's on 8.3, just wanted to warn everyone in case they were considering updating to any beta versions of iOS.
  13. http://www.rootmetrics.com/us/rsr/rockford-il Even beat Verizon in the Speed Index. Power of B41 [emoji106]
  14. Well that's... impossible. Apparently I don't have FDD bandwidth calculations completely correct either. Plus, it doesn't work at all on 8.3 beta. This still needs lots of work. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/24/b497ff64ec1a918f0c5a8c413816bd08.jpg (8.3 beta 2)
  15. Almost definitely 3G only at those prices. That takes all the appeal of a Verizon MVNO away, it's essentially equal to Virgin Mobile but slightly more expensive for those not in extremely rural areas. Possibly going to be marketed towards older people who don't need data? The $25 unlimited talk/text plan does support smartphones. Good for older people who don't leave the house much but want a smartphone.
  16. The thing is, when you control every aspect of the system, you're allowed to make up rules as you go. Those apps use an API that was created by Apple specifically to allow developers to open other applications from their own apps ("URL Schemes" + UIApplication's openURL method). Those widgets literally just opened URLs. You can even try it for yourself: go into Safari and navigate to "instagram://" or "twitter://". Apparently opening URLs is now a violation of App Store "guidelines". And by guidelines they mean strict boundaries that change constantly. It doesn't make sense, but I guess that's what Apple is known for lol.
  17. CellularInfo is powered by some private APIs in the CoreTelephony framework. They can be accessed rather easily from any iOS app. However, apps that access private APIs won't pass the Apple App Store Review process. So if I attempted to submit CellularInfo to the App Store right now, it would get rejected instantly. That's why I'm currently distributing it as a "beta" app using my 100 developer device registrations. That way I can get it on devices without going through the App Store review process. So, in short: the current beta of CellularInfo is the "non-JB" version. I can't make a "final non-JB" version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The beta is as close to a non-JB version as I can get unfortunately. I was just making sure everyone knew I wasn't abandoning the full jailbreak app. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. As soon as I can figure out why it crashes Snapchat and Instagram lol Always good to hear.
  20. (Quoted from http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6407-iphone-6-and-iphone-6-plus-user-thread/?p=404044 to prevent derailing that thread.) The jailbreak features I have planned include status bar info like so: (Sorry for image size) This also makes the status bar signal strength display more accurate. Root access also allows you to use the "Reset Data Connection" button in the Settings tab of the app. LTE connection logging with locations is also on my list but I'm not sure when I'll get time to implement that.
  21. You on the 8.3 betas? My phone is glitching all over the place and I got 3 hours of battery usage today, even with all jailbreak packages besides Cydia removed. It might be time to leave the jailbreak behind and jump onto 8.3. The restore should also unlock my phone if Sprint actually followed through with what they said. For anyone that's waiting on the CellularInfo jailbreak features: don't worry I have a spare jailbroken iPhone 5 that I use to test CellularInfo.
  22. That's a limitation in the iOS SDK, I don't believe third party apps can control audio output. Apple Maps has this option if you're willing to go that route. Pun not intended Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I must be tired. The app no longer displays "No Data Connection" when there's no data. That's a huge oversight, my bad. I'll update again sometime tomorrow with the fix for that. The widget works fine in the mean time.
