  1. Ok in all my excitement yesterday getting 1x 800 in SF I forgot to do any voice testing.

I been dropping calls left and right all day today while connected to 1x 800. Seems like its not handing off between 1x 800 sites.

I have an s3 so its not the typical hard hand-off eCSFB triband problems.

    Probably just testing.

Anyone find any new updates today?

  2. That's awesome. I just loaded the 800SMR sponsor PRL to see if I get 800SMR at work. I do, but saldly it seems to be a very distant tower in Daly City. My Ec/Io is in the -11dB range.

That's sucks. Hmm. I won't be downtown until Thursday to check more.

What is the ec/lo supposed to be?

That shoreline Highway and taraval sites are across the street from each other. I remember seeing different permits for each of them. Seems weird they would upgrade both if one was replacing the other one.

  3. Then they may indeed have finished a cluster! Let's hope it's everything, not just stuff west of 19th ave? If that's what you call that road. (Hwy 1?)

There's one in between those two sites that I am actually closer to and I haven't been able to get 1x 800 from it yet. But hope cluster is coming soon.

  4. Let's hope! That first one is already accepted with NV equipment, so it may just be they finally flipped 800 on, or you finally were able to connect. Is the second site also accepted already?

Nope 2nd site is not accepted. But I think I saw new equipment on top about a month ago. Didn't take pics. I guess this confirms it.

  5. I haven't connected to any sites in the south bay. Was in San Jose yesterday for hours and nothing. Not even on the drive on 680 south and north. I only get 800 when i'm in the Bart station in Livermore or at some relatives in Union City and Hayward.

The bay area except for SF and Palo Alto is coming along pretty nice.

You're only gonna connect to 800 when you lose weight 1900. Unless you force it with a prl update or some other method.

  6. is 800 still spotty in that area? When I was in Hayward and Union City I struggled to maintain 800 but LTE was really good.

No site in the city of San Francisco is 800 accepted yet. So I mainly get 800 1x from the south in daly city. Today is the first time I got it from the East bay. Well at least that I noticed. The market as a whole got hundreds of 800 1x sites accepted today. South Bay too. But none in sf.

  7. Nothing from CES so far in the realm of potential future Sprint handsets?

They officially announced the flex for sprint. That's about it.

  8. I hadn't heard of it until recently, when someone else asked about it.. I started using it myself, and like it. I do intend to add a SignalCheck plug-in to it -- it's already on the to-do list. I haven't had a chance to look into it yet, but I will. Too many device/ROM-specific bugs are popping up lately, causing me to spend more time troubleshooting and less time adding new stuff. :(

Awesome. Didn't realize it was discussed already. Thanks! Funny how things go in cycles. I don't use screensavers anymore on my PCs but I love dashclock (when plugged in).

  9. Mike you ever use dashclock? It works with daydream which is Androids "screensaver". A lot of extensions are out for it including some network status ones. I know you have a lot of your plate, but was wondering if you can take a peek at it and maybe make SC compatible with it, if it's easy. Good way to glance at your phone and see network status without turning it on.
