  1. i found a fix for now. it has to be corrected every time the phone is shut off. go to the Phone app in the all apps tab. if you clear teh data for the hpone it clears the notiifcation. it has also worked correctly with new voicemails becuase they are on the visual voicemail app. i hope this helps.

Yeah I've been doing that too for now. Quick and dirty fix until the next reboot.

  2. I'm having similar issues, will be right across the street from a site and nothing. My s3 was much better at holding on to signals too. Now when I go inside my apartment I get no lte. My s3 never would leave lte ever.

  3. I picked up an s5 yesterday and have an interesting problem. more like annoying. i have a notification for voicemail that wont go away. when i click it, it doesnt take me to the voicemail app. It takes me to the phone and dials my voicemail. the thing is there are no messages.

I have reset the data for the voicemail app. I have reset the data for the badge provider service. i have left myself a message and deleted it. the phone says the message is part of the phone app itself if that helps solve this. any help would be appreciated.

Apparently this is a problem that sprint and samsung is aware of and will issue a fix. Happening to lots of people I guess. Its really annoying.

  4. Just click those 3 dots--system shortcuts--debug--LTE engineering. There's your band. Or for quicker access, use the signal check widget and set it to launch the debug menu.

Doesn't work on stock s5 or alot of Samsung devices.

  5. Anyone know how to remove the S Finder and Quick connect buttons in the pulldown menu? So annoying. I'm having the voicemail notification issue where it won't go away. I have Google voice so maybe I'll disable it and clear the Sprint VM queue and then reenable G voice. I'll do it in the morning.

  6. I'd echo that request, I'd be much more interested (and concerned with) B26 comparatives than really either of the other 2.

I spent the day in the DC area today with some B26 and frankly it kinda sucked. Would switch quickly between b26 and b25. I never had b26 for more than a couple of seconds at a time.

  7. Pardon the "newbie" question, but how do I determine what LTE band I am on?

Download signalcheck pro from. Our very own mikejeep.

Or dial *#0011# from the dialer to get to an enginerring screen.

  8. Kinda disappointed. I'm at home and used to get solid lte with my s3. Not so much anymore. I did get some band 41 outside my building though. But neither inside now. Sigh. Now onto my road trip from NYC to DC.

  9. I'm having lte issues in nyc. Had it briefly when I stepped out of best buy. Haven't had it all day in spots my s3 would normally get it. Maybe when I get home later it'll be better.

  10. Just bought an s5 from the best buy on 23rd and 6th. Had lte right outside. And walked down to 14th and then back up to MSG. No lte after right outside best buy. Sad face. Have to play with it when I get home. Was hoping to get spark inside msg like someone mentioned. No such luck.

  11. You can opt out of them inside the Tapatalk app. When in Tapatalk, back out of S4GRU until you are at the Main Menu when you see all your forums listed (included S4GRU). When there, hit the Menu button. The only option that opens should be Settings. Scroll down to the Image Load Preferences and unselect Topic Images. Then go below that to the section called Load Preferences with Slow Connection and unselect Topic Images there too.

This gets rid of those obnoxious Tapatalk Topic Images that appear when you are scrolling through threads.

Wow. Thank you. I felt like we talked about this. But didn't see a solution until now. Thanks!

  12.

From an apple user, I give it 4/5. 1 star short for me because it's a little bigger than I would want.

I thought the same thing when I first got a 5 inch screen. After about a week it was 2nd nature and now I could never go back. You'll love it. And wonder how you ever coped before.

  13. Here is how well SG5 performs on my Google Fiber and Sprint Spark at home. The top 3 results are Google Fiber over WiFi, the bottom 3 are Sprint Spark.

So no issues acquiring band 41 for you? What phone did you have prior to this? Much improved?

  14. I am thinking about getting the s5 but have never owned a samsung phone before, I have only played with friends/family's galaxies. Are there ROMs that make touchwiz more streamlined and better looking? I dont want to go AOSP and lose features but I dislike the look of touchwiz.

After the 1st day I installed nova launcher and I haven't used TouchWiz since.
