  1. FML my car died. At least it happened at Chipotle so I'm not that upset

  2. Everything I read is now narrated in my head by the voice of Kevin Spacey. Sorry, Morgan Freeman. #HouseOfCards

  4. I hope so! For UCF being the 2nd largest university in the country with over 50k students, I would hope they would build a high capacity site there since it is basically smack dab in the middle of campus! However, this is an Ericcson market and I don't know how they build their high capacity sites. Plus there's no RRU's mounted up there for those antennas. I also walked past the base one day and noticed ATT base equipment that looked relatively new. I hope Sprint does have some NV equipment up there but is just waiting on something like a permit.
  5. There's some work going on at the tower on the north side of UCF. They recently built a new shelter in the back and are now starting to install some new base equipment in it. The tower has had NV antennas and RRU's for about 6 months now but as of today it is still running legacy. Anyone think they could be installing the new base station equipment? I really hope so, I noticed them laying fiber around the site last week as well. And notice how the gate is wide open, I was tempted to sneak in lol
  6. So there's a tower on campus that has equipment on it that kind of look like NV antennas, but I'm not entirely sure. I know there's a clearwire site on the top of it, but the ones below it look like they could be NV. Any thoughts?
  7. Actually going to my public econ class for once. Woahhhh

  8. I was at Universal on Sunday and I felt your pain. Even with band 41 enabled on my Nexus 5 I still was unable to stay on a stable data connection. I was bouncing from b41 to b25 to 3g to roaming and back again. Thank god for wifi in the parks. Both the towers that are nearest to Universal have not been 4G accepted yet. This is an area that definitely needs some attention considering the troves of people who come through there. I have noticed that one of those towers are on a power line and that there is a trend in this area of sites on power lines are mostly still legacy. Looks like Duke Energy doesn't work very well with equipment deployed on their infrastructure, which is kind of a bummer to see these sites sitting legacy at this point in the NV deployment. Can't say it enough, but C'MON ERICCSON LETS GET 800 IN O-TOWN ALREADY!
  9. I just ran 5.75 mi @ a 8'54'' pace with Nike+. http://t.co/3Xpx7dloF8 #nikeplus

  10. I've been getting network errors when attempting to update my PRL and profile the past few days, so I haven't been able to get on B41 anyone know how to get around this?
  11. Awesome! So close to Orlando too, I'm almost tempted to go drive out there and find it myself
  12. Half the time I don't notice. I have noticed at times the LTE symbol will disappear for about 10 seconds during a handoff, whether it be from 25 to 41 or 41 to 25. I may have a disrupted internet connection for a few seconds but I haven't had a song change or tried browsing when this happens because I am usually driving. And I'm on a Nexus 5 WITHOUT a Spark update, so I'm sure whenever we do get the update it will only improve.
  13. My Pandora is on fire tonight. I DONT WANT TO UNPLUG MY HEADPHONES!

  15. I would rather see Sprint cannibalize a 1x carrier especially if they can get 1x800 depolyed everywhere asap, EVDO is still a fallback for many people when they go indoors so I would hope they preserve it to its fullest.
  16. I've been noticing the past few months that speeds on Sprint's primary LTE band (25, or PCS1900) have been steadily decreasing in many markets. This is likely due to capacity issues on the G block 5x5 carrier of PCS spectrum uses for LTE. I realize that many markets are not complete with NV deployment which could be part of the reason for poor results, but even with a full 5x5 deployment nationwide I feel that with increasing data usage by subs will eat up capacity faster than we may fully realize. Does Sprint have the ability to add another LTE carrier nationwide that is compatible with single band devices? I know they will most likely do this in Chicago where they purchased US Cellular spectrum, but I'm not aware what will happen outside that area. Since it will be at least another year or so until most subs are on triband devices, is Sprint planning/able to add a second carrier or any kind of additional capacity to PCS LTE to relieve capacity issues?
  17. What do basebands have to do with connecting to LTE? And I'm M8974A-1.0.25.0.23 for my baseband version. Sooo what does that tell me exactly? Lol
  18. Anyone living on the edge without a case? Been almost 2 months with my N5 and don't have a scratch on it. During the same timeframe from when I got my S3 last year, I had already gone through 2! (Thank god for best buy protection)
  19. Usually I get pretty decent speeds out that way. There's a tower on the NE side of Rouse and University that I get pretty decent LTE performance from, I wonder if it was running into issues.
  20. As of now, LTE2500 is a separate rollout that was going to happen regardless of a clearwire/sprint merger. Clear had plans to convert all existing wimax sites to LTE and where actively doing this when the merger went though. The plans have since continued as scheduled, which is why we are seeing B41 active in Orlando today. LTE800, as well as 1x800, should arrive in Orlando relatively soon as it is now actively being deployed throughout the country. The second half of Network Vision will involve adding 2.5 to all sites that do not have clearwire antennas co-located, and moving existing 2.5 equipment to NV racks at sites that are co-located. I believe this is estimated to be completed by the end of 2015. It's very exciting indeed, as I've been enjoying B41 for the last week or so on my Nexus 5. The only thing that is lacking in this market is the building penetration benefits of 800mhz. When that is complete I'm confident that the performance I experience will be on par, if not better, than Verizon and AT&T.
  21. It could be an eCSFB problem. I'm not entirely sure what markets this is still present in, as I haven't come upon any issues in Chicago and Orlando. Also check that you have LTE enabled as well. A profile & PRL update couldn't hurt either. And everyone got that text message apparently (even though I never saw it). And for further reference, most Sprint reps at stores or in customer service are useless when it comes to specific network deployment information. You'll find a wealth of knowledge here on S4GRU, and if you want area and site specific information I would reccomend becoming a sponsor. Welcome!
  22. Regarding LTE800, check your sources, mine say otherwise for Orlando deployment and consider the line below my picture.. I'll just leave it at that. And I can attest to a good number of 2.5 sites being upgraded for LTE but I don't think it's quite 95 percent yet as I have found from my own experiences that 1 in every 3 Clearwire site I've encountered in Orlando was not LTE accepted.
