He said Lowband. Lowband means B26/5/12/13/14. B25 is mid band. That's where I got confused.

That stinks. Not if the macro is still using that spectrum for CDMA. It would interfere.

Dam not even CA. Stinks. 5x5 is to slowI don't know about that network, but the ones I have seen have only had one carrier at 5x5.

Since small cells are LTE only can they do higher bandwidth on B25?Those are B25 outdoor DAS/small cell networks that were put up in several cities a few years ago.

My Galaxy S8 gets VOLTE on T-Mobile and vzw, so I don't see why I wouldn't on SprintAreas outside of these soft launch locations will have to wait until around the January time frame.
By the middle of next year is when all devices sold have to have VoLTE enabled from the get go.

Unlocked doesn't have anything to do with it. It's fully compatible with Sprints network.I don’t think service is that bad in Gainesville. I was just wondering if her service isn’t as good because it’s the unlocked model. That’s all.

That's where Sprint comes in handy. TMobile can deploy B26 where B71 isn't clear and for sure where's it's not cleared and, they don't have B12 either.I did see that as well, but TMO is still at least 400 thousad square miles behind Verizons LTE coverage.. and some of there band 71 is still not cleared.. I don't see that happening anytime soon.. the only one that can maybe match that date is att.. if att even wants to do that

If the merger fails, how long will Sprint’s CDMA remain live?
If the merger succeeds, how long will Sprint’s CDMA remain live?
If the Merger happens pcs CDMA will be shutdown not long after. 1x800 will stay for a while. Sprint customers will be moved over to TMobiles VOLTE. Hopefully Sprint will have volte to be them making it easierIf the merger doesn't go through then CDMA will likely be kept on for a while until the vast majority of Sprint's voice and data traffic are over LTE. If it succeeds I'm guessing it would happen within 5 years since T-Mobile will migrate Sprint's customers to their VoLTE service.

I thought the US was the only ones with CDMA still left and that everyone was GSM?Not as quickly as you think. China Telecom for example still has 250 million customers on their CDMA/LTE network. China won't be phasing out their 2G networks anytime soon, their 3G networks will go first (W-CDMA and especially TD-SCDMA). CDMA's 3G and 2G are compatible standards so will maintain that as well. Between them and Sprint, CDMA will survive, but it will be niche.

With the triband antenna that had been talked about that will happen. I have been to areas that only Have B25 and 26 needs to be added since Sprint lacks density big time. They really need to deploy band 26 on all their sites, no excuse anymore.

When vzw and Sprint shut it down then yeah there's not reason to support it after that. I have heard vzw will stop activateing non VOLTE devices. When will Qualcomm stop putting it in their chipsets? Intel? When will Apple or Samsung stop supporting in their handsets?

I was wondering if Sprint would participated in the 700 mhz auction where vzw got B13 if that could have made vzw weaker, where they both will have gotten B13 at 5x5 each? Just a thought.. Also yeah it's frustrating to see it so slowly rolled out. But there's not much I can do about it. Also there's the fact that the equipment capable of that band has to be add on to all the towers which I assume T-Mobile has already done. But if Sprint where to purchase dish they could get all that juicy Spectrum.Sent from my H3223 using Tapatalk

Yeah. It's not rolled out in my area, there just trying to clear it. If the Merger were to fail, I wonder if Sprint could actually buy it from Dish and Comcast in my area. Dish could 10x10 while Comcast got 5x5. If it's contiguous then they could do 15x15. If not then 10x10+5x5Well where I live in New Jersey band 71 as yet to be rolled out.

They have been rolling things out fast. They still are behind on coverage right now. I live in a metro area yet going by there spectrum gateway shows that TMO was trying to clear B71 last monthI'll believe it when I see it. That's my attitude towards every cell carrier.

Good point. Hopefully they would have gone after B13/4 thenDan, without Nextel, they would have only 1900mHz. No 800 and no 2500mHz. So, they did get something out of that. Without Nextel, it still doesn't mean they would have done things much different. They've had 12 years or more to figure this out. It is what it is...

I know they can't help the rebanding part that they could use B25. Sprint network while it works just fine where I live and work it's not so good when I travel outside the metroA combination of limited funds available (also due to essentially no capital assistance coming from SoftBank) and rebanding delays in certain affected areas.

Yeah I just checked the Dakota's coverage still isn't as good as vzw or att. I'm guessing Wyoming and Montana isn't any better. Guess matching vzw on sqaure miles hasn't happened. Yet away. That's unfortunate.Dude, yes they have native service. BUT it does not cover the entire state. So they still have off-network roaming. [emoji53] Just wondering if you knew who that carrier was...

They have a store in rapid City SD. It's known they expand into the Dakota's.No they don't. Check their map. AT&T maybe?

I'm talking about off network Roaming. Limits.Every carrier has domestic roaming. Even AT&T and VZW, which have a decent amount themselves. As long as it is counted as native, it doesn't matter.

No one cause they cover it nowDo you know who TMobile roams on in that state?
Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Roaming? Is this 2005? No one likes Roaming.I agree with you but Sprint needs to prioritize. How come you were not roaming on somebody?Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Need to spend money to make money. No one is going to switch to them if they know they are going to leave the network behind when they go on vacation and will have no service, like I did when I went to South Dakota and was tied to a att hotspot the whole time. It's called return on investment (ROI). For a cash strapped carrier like Sprint, it matters.
