  1. so much progress already.. i love it! keep it coming sprint!
  2. Since when is Verizon as cheap as Sprint and since when has their value (unlimited data) been the same? They both average at about $80 for individual plan but "only Sprint gives you truly unlimited data" and when NV is done, you'll be happy you stayed.
  3. And I thought that they got a new marketing company that were supposed to help change the face of Sprint. I think that they could go a little "darker" and more intense with their marketing. I do like their website, but their commercials need to get the point across and make it interesting and captivating. I also hope Sprint reads all this and understands that that is something they need to do!
  4. I agree. I think Chicago and New Yorks deployment will be something people will be satisfied with- a lot of towers overlap. I just want it to happen now. Couldn't they pull a Verizon and say "coming soon" like they did with that dramatic guy running through a field to a barn and throwing a lightning bolt in the sky? Gotta admit it got me excited and I'm with Sprint...
  5. http://www.sprint.com/landings/lte/index.html?ECID=vanity:4glte The website shows 3G, 4G wiMax and 4G LTE speed comparisons. Unless you look at the speeds listed underneath, the bar graphs make the changes look minimal and would make a normal consumer not care about the difference of any of the networks. Any one agree? Thoughts? I know Sprint doesn't want to set the network to higher standards than people will experience, but they need to give themselves a little bit more credit. Like I said before, AT&T has one of the better websites for explaining their network differences, and make LTE look super fast. Sprint is definitely a competitor, why set themselves behind? I am happy that a site about LTE has been posted. Should get to their home page SOON to get some hype going. I would like to see a commercial about "the network of the future is underway"- that would get people thinking and would probably give them a better image. Plus, if done right, and not in a joking manner it would be sweet! That is something Sprint NEEDS to do... maybe a few more markets first.
  6. Below is the test I took today after noticing some significant improvement in speed. This was taken in a location off of the Richland/ Gull Lake tower next to M89 in Kalamazoo. I wondered if anyone out there in West Michigan has been noticing any other changes? The only place I can say that has not had anything good happen in W.MI is in Battle Creek :/
  7. this should probably go in a separate thread but where will LTE-avdanced go? another spectrum or replace current LTE?
  8. anything going on in lansing, IL?
  9. is there any way to post a close up of the major metropolitan areas of the market? Kalamazoo and Grand rapids mainly.
  10. Right so then how fast will these markets be coming at us? Sprint is still announcing them like "cities"
  11. With an (almost) complete target set for the end of 2013... Which is pretty fast, shouldn't we be seeing an (extremely) faster rollout coming in the few months? It seems like there should be market launches similar to Verizon or more? Or instead of launching cities like Verizon, are they going to launch cities and branch off of them slowly? Not sure if that made sense but maybe someone will get me.
  12. Do you think that with the next iPhone almost certainly having LTE we will see both bands for Sprint LTE ie: including 800 band. If not there will really be no point until iPhone 5s?
  13. I think just LTE and in the future LTE A... The carriers need to start doing what AT&T does on their website explaining technology.
  14. Is sprint going to use a new "logo" 4G LTE indicator on phones like Verizon and AT&T or go with just 4G. In the picture of the Evo it is just 4G. Seems like if they want to keep customers informed about their technology they would differentiate them?
  15. will we see any network improvements like in building penetration or coverage at all? i know sprint says yes but will it really happen?
  16. i thought that sprint was just going to take all of the sites from nextel, convert them to NV, and then have a strong competitive network...
  17. are phones like the new iphone 5 going to be able to run on the new clearwire TD-LTE sites as well as the new Sprint LTE and CDMA sites anddddd all of the others for roaming (international)... seems like that would be quite the chip but yet extremely necessary.
