  1. Replenished the love. Hope to see those maps once again some day ....i did not put my username. there was no place for comments.
  2. I agree. They need to be working on getting the message out they they are WORKING and acknowledge the issues at hand. There is still yet to be anything mentioning their NV on their homepage. With almost 70 markets and 200+ in the works I would think that when people see that "THE NEW SPRINT IS COMING"... they might consider that they might be the better option. Sure, now, Sprint has their issues, but the hope that is promised that we all know of is not very well communicated to the eyes of your everyday consumer. ...the simple half page flyer in your bill on the 3rd page isn't going to get anyone to believe your serious.
  3. I drove past two West Michigan sites today that had crews at, and up on the towers. Several trucks around and it looked like Sprint panel sections from what I've gathered Sprints panels look like.... One in downtown Kalamazoo on the east side.. ..and another off of I-94 (I saw work last week as well) closer to Battle Creek. No pics, as I was driving but I would LOVE to see new maps! Hopefully a lot more GR and KZOO, LAN sites start coming up! Michigan was supposed to originally launch around March, we'll see...
  4. The first... to my knowledge showing anything other than an "LTE phone" promotion on a commercial showing LTE and unlimited and VERY nicely done. THIS is the Sprint I want to see more of! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frKZyFYxQCY
  5. Went to apple today to fix a button issue on my phone only to get a brand new one but then I noticed some network issues at my house that usually never occur. I gave up trying ##UPDATE# a million times and called. The man informed me that my area, including most of Michigan but especially, what he could see, all of Kalamazoo, MI was preparing and receiving some prep work tonight for the "4G LTE Network Vision Upgrade"... It will be interesting to see the new maps come in.... This man said he worked closely with the network management and engineer team too.
  6. I just want to say that now that ive looked at it.. Sprint will be having a good year.
  7. Not much, but I donated.. struggling college student here. Anything helps! Great work here S4GRU!
  8. What do I have to do for Sponsorship? What do I have to do for Sponsorship?
  9. Exactly but they should and can still show us what they are going to do.. a coming soon never hurt anyone haha. With almost 60 markets complete they have enough to run their first LTE commercial in my opinion as they have not run any. I am going to bet that with money so tight they have to use it only to run their deals on devices?
  10. Well call me proud, which I am very proud of Sprint, but their competitors have been showing off their LTE networks this whole year (especially Verizon) and Sprint hasn't. I am well aware that Sprint still has lower coverage than those two (gaining, especially on ATT) but it would help them A LOT marketing wise, and I have said this before on here, to pull a Verizon LTE commercial stunt that they aired back in Dec 2010. (The barn and the lightning) We all know Sprint is doing a heck of a lot to its Network at rates faster than any other carrier because they are re-doing it ALL. But what would help them consumer wise, both existing (to keep them on their network) as well as bringing new customers in is to market that they in fact have "The Network of the future underway". I would love to give Sprint Marketing department a piece of my mind as it is amazing what one commercial, done correctly, can do to the minds of American consumers. It would give Sprint the push they need in Q1 2013. But to connect those two points, if all these new places are popping up, I would like to see slightly more publication about it from Sprint so all these journalists can quit bashing them about how their network will never equal that of VZWs or ATTs. Just my take on things...
  11. Just wondering with these 136 market production areas, when are we going to see the next batch launched? I know Sprint is behind schedule but I also remember hearing that production would be increasing, especially if SB+S is approved.
  12. I will be traveling to Houston next weekend and I am wondering what the signals and LTE performance is like at IAH- Houston Intercontinental all the way down into the heart of Downtown? How is the signal doing going through skyscrapers?
  13. Sorry if this has been asked but what is this? I found it under my devices on MySprint...
  14. What I am wondering is if Sprint is behind in our market? In the running list for markets it still says first LTE sites by November for the West MI market and if I am correct there are none currently up and running. Just wondering when we are going to see them begin to pop up?
  15. I think that if Sprint is going to make the move to take on Metro they are going to want to do it fast before anything is confirmed from T-Mobile and the government. Once the combined T-Mo and Metro start merging networks - the value it has to Sprint lowers more and more because of network technology and the hassle of all the spectrum differences.
  16. I dont have tower locations but I do know the tower closest to I94 and Westnedge today was feeding off some 1.8mbs dwn .88 up. This would be in the greater Kalamazoo/ Portage location. I wonder why they are starting work as it's getting colder around here? Seems like they are setting themselves up for delays this winter...
  17. I have posted something about the picture on the LTE page not showing the speed differences enough, but now that they are becoming more robust and really pushing the rollout, why don't they give the 4G site a new look and more features? They should also put something about it on their homepage... "The Network of the Future is underway!" would look great, and should be in commercials too! Any thoughts or inside people at Sprint know if they are working on this? I like the sleek look and powerful look of Verizon's 4G page, and the simplicity and explanation of two 4G technologies that AT&T has (Sprint has two now..) In my opinion, now that LTE is officially the future.. its time for an upgrade.
  18. Can anyone in any of the LTE zones post some screenshots off an iPhone?
  19. Now that we know the Sprint version of the iPhone 5 will be able to go on all of the new bands including the 800 for CDMA, 1900 LTE/ CDMA, etc... However, it will also be compatible with Verizon's 700 LTE... is it likely that we can roam on their 700mHz band? Note that in the Network Vision presentation slide, they do show LTE roaming.
  20. Do it. The new iPhone will be supported on Sprint's network. Major legal battles will be held if it is not. It has already been leaked that Sprint has made a multi-year commitment to Apple, which would make sense to carry on through future phones. On Apple's side, if they don't include LTE, they will miss out, and potentially loose their standing as the most popular smartphone brand. So, come September 12th (or 15th), whenever they begin pre-orders, I would say get the iPhone 5. PS... Sprint is giving $250 in buy back for iPhone 4S 16GB right now... free phone anyone?? And even if they drop the price when the 5 comes out, the iPhone 4 currently sits at $150, so I don't see it getting lower.... that is one nice deal! (if your eligible.. )
