Do the sprint stores have demo units yet? I figured I'd ask before I take a trip down to my store.

This also happens when more sites around that area get LTE and take the burden off of the site in question.Excuse my speeds. But I think some LTE core work finished in my area because my ping used to be 90-120...

Completely agree. But in comparison, one of sprints smartest decisions in the last four years other than doing network vision.
Agree but I think NV was done out of survival/necessity... Not anyone's good thinking or foresight.

Does anyone know what he means when he says he is going to concentrate on wifi? Is he talking about wifi calls?

I really like his ideas. I just listened to the whole Web cast. I'm interested in what he plans to do over the next few weeks. I'm hoping it isn't just all advertising though... I hope these smaller mergers are part of it.

I'm not sure how he is going to make the service more consistent. I've seen areas (like Dallas) which still struggle even though B26 is already deployed. In my opinion, Sprint will have to be OK with adding towers or moving existing towers as part of NV.

How is sprint B41 identification coming along? Is it pretty accurate?New version of LTE Discovery released! v3.11.2
Wow, it's been about two months since Spence and I last released to LTE Discovery to 100% of the public. In that time we have still been making lots of improvements, so the recent updates prompt is going to be long for those of you that still have v3.8.1.
Here's some of the highlight changes from v3.8.1 (which 80% of users have):
- More accuracy for many devices
- Brand new alerts system (beta setting, with even more coming soon)
- Ability to start on boot (Pro)
- Added reset connection button to the "Live Mode" notification when not on LTE (Pro)
- Lots of performance enhancements, especially for users with many logs
- Greater compatibility for 2767 more devices
- And more

Just going by what sensorly shows. Probably a lot of microwave so if you fire one up, the ones in the chain go up too. That wasn't the case when I was in Vegas in early September and drove South on I-15 into California it was either Edge or GPRS. Majority of the drive I had absolutely no coverage.

I wish that root metrics would show the other network parameter results for airports. It doesn't make sense when they just show data but the fastest network doesn't win. Good on ya Sprint!

who said Tmobile was going to price it at 649?both AT&T and Tmobile are pricing it higher than Google too. Granted sprint is the highest which makes me a little frustrated. If you are going to be uncarrier... Be uncarrier. So who is going to Tmobile to buy off Contract for $649.00 and use it on Sprint's network.LMAO
-
Is that lan? Nope... It's just Sprint showing off. I love the low pings.New LTE tower near Route 100 & Kernsville Rd near Fogelsville ... Look at that ping!!!
-
What are the other carriers charging though?Sprint does it again, charging more for a device than Google. $696 for the 32 model when the 64 is $699 on Google play store. Sad.
-
4.2 is not bad if it is B25 or B26 but with a good signal, that's kinda sad on B41.What's wrong with 4.20mbps?
-
I'm pretty surprised that Tmobile has almost the whole ride from California to Las Vegas covered in 4g and the 5 from San Diego to SF. I'm not sure why sprint hasn't upgrades any of these areas yet. Aren't they all microwave and should be fast to upgrade?t mobile will be rolling out HSPA+ and LTE to all 2g areas

nope... I is easily accessible. Just open the app and click the three dots. HDR is the option in the middle.Did they remove HDR from last camera update ?

Sprint is the tale of two networks in Dallas. In some ways the triband is great and I switch between the bands seamlessly. In other cases, I have 0mbps or am roaming. Have to say though, a few well places B26 and B41 sites will fix 'er right up!

had the same thing happen to me. Great speedtest speeds but useless data in real world use. It is fixed now for me.No SMS issues for me but I was having terrible lag loading webpages it seemed all over town today, yet every time I ran a speed test while having the issue I was getting 50ms pings and nearly 10 Mbps both ways. It was like traffic shaping went haywire. I was pissed.

You thought wrong. Peak speeds can be over 70Mbps. Many of the 8T8R sites are going live before the backhaul speeds are upgraded further to support the increased capacity. And that's a good thing. It's better to have a 20MHz channel added for capacity now that can run 30-40Mbps than leave it sit there for a few months before it can run full speed. But additional B41 carriers will not be able to be added until the backhaul is increased.
To upgrade the backhaul further, do they just need to go to the basestation and hook up additional fiber livers which are already available? I was originally hoping that it would just be a phone call to the fiber company to ask for additional capacity that would be done at a click of a button.

Can't wait for the update! I heard a rumor it is coming this weekend but I can no longer find the post.

I've noticed my connection and speed vastly improve in the past week in lower OC. for a few weeks I couldn't stream video and now I can stream without flaw. Also, when I run a Speedtest.net, I now am usually above 10 mbps along the freeway which is much improved as well. I just wish I knew how they were doing it.
The weird part is that upload continues to act weird.. For a couple seconds it will be 0.02 mbps before shooting up to around 0.7 Mbps. Very strange but it happens without fail.

What happened at LaGuardia Airport? According to o root metrics:
Sprint’s median download speed decreased from 18.3 Mbps to 3.8 Mbps, and its median upload speed fell from 3.1 Mbps to 1.0 Mbps.
