  1. At any rate, I find it encouraging. I recently made provisions in the spreadsheets to better track 1x800 at individual sites using BIDs to narrow it down. Sprint recently implemented sector offsets, so the BSL in 1x mode on signal check pro is wrong, but the BID (hexidecimal calculation) stays almost the same with all sectors (like GCIs in LTE mode). I have a lot of my CDMA logs to go through that have the real site coordinates and corresponding BID. That's what I will use to populate the spreadsheet and it will make things all the way around easier for everyone.
  2. Awesome find...my guess is that it is for 1X deployment...something that is really needed. More spectrum still needs to be cleared on the Canadian side to make LTE available.
  3. The Sprint Spark roll out is well underway now...We're now over 200 sites in our market, and those are ones that have been discovered by users with undoubtedly more out there. We're an IBEZ market, so 800 MHz deployment has really been crippled, but it seems as though that Spark deployment is much further along here than in most markets.
  4. For whatever reason, PCS 3G is more robust than PCS LTE. As dkyeager pointed out, most of the Cleveland market is unable to receive B26, and I still find plenty of areas where 3G is the only option. Until LTE coverage can fully cover what 3G covers, I don't forsee it going away anytime soon. Dual B25 carriers seem to be most prevalent here in Spark areas. I've found many 8T8R capable sites also running an additional PCS carrier. And my market actually uses 2, depending on the region (Thanks Revol )
  5. Yes, both were taken in the Cleveland market, though in different regions. The 8415/26415 pair was grabbed from a site near Warren, OH. I'll reevaluate the result the next time I'm in that area and let you know if anything's different.
  6. I was requested to post my B25 second carrier finds for the Cleveland market, so here's the screenshots. Both of these were found October 29th
  7. Makes me wonder if B41 is even up to the task with a few thousand people connected to the same site.
  8. Speaking of which, we are officially tracking the progress of the B26/41 roll out with a new shiny spreadsheet and map.
  9. I don't think we technicality fit the definition yet By the way, I'm finding more sites with an additional B25 carrier (found 2 just today), so you folks with monoband phones will also see some performance improvement with the 2nd B25 carrier that increases capacity.
  10. The spark zones are grossly exaggerated right now...I'm technically within the Warren/Youngstown boundary and the nearest site doesn't even have B41 installed, an adjacent site isn't turned on yet and a bunch more that are on need to be tuned and optomized with the network because the coverage sucks.
  11. They're probably more concerned about the higher capacity B41 which is gradually being rolled out market-wide. I have been tracking individual sites myself...We'll eventually get B26 whenever the IBEZ issues get resolved.
  12. Though if this would be a mandatory log cleaning, it might tick off some folks too (I'd probably be one).
  13. I do have site notes saved for legit Clear B41 sites, but bogus enteries have bloated my log file and it'd be nice to rid them all. Since the issue is with Sprint B25/26 sites being bogus, is it possible to just mark for deletion any enteries that have Sprint GCIs saying "Sprint B41" for deletion instead?
  14. Good, I hope they choke on their spectrum. Somehow the FCC has to clamp down on these squatters. Technically, nobody "owns" spectrum. I consider the permission (license) to utilize any RF spectrum as a privilege granted by the FCC, and anyone caught using it solely for monetary gain, and not for the the public interest in any form, should not only have their license revoked, but should be barred from future spectrum holdings.
  15. I'd love to be able to edit site notes without the need to be connected to the tower . I'm looking forward to the new release. I'm hoping it will un-stick the coordinate logging.
  16. I found my first 8T8R site today in the Cleveland market. The odd 3rd character in the GCI and HEX 1450 works so far; I'll let you know otherwise.
  17. Their website said so until someone screwed up and put up a coverage map that's a few months old. Sprint aggressively tackled the market back in May. Welcome Back!
  18. Hopefully whoever is looking goes closer than the 2nd level zoom which shows the entire country, roaming included as 3G only Also, it still doesn't appear that they have accounted for iDEN conversions yet which, in some cases, has filled in quite a few coverage holes
  19. That's certainly a possibility to call Sprint to see if some adjustment can be made. My signal didn't really improve once the upgrade happened to my local tower, but I can connect to it up to 10 miles away now, so coverage distance certainly improved.
  20. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with LTE, pongool. Do you get it LTE elsewhere? Myself and others have confirmed that there is plenty of LTE to be had at Great Northern, so all you should have to do is travel maybe to the other side of town. I don't think you would need to even go that far to find some LTE.
  21. I can't say I'm surprised
  22. 1X and 3G signals are receivable further than LTE in my experience, though I don't think you should be having problems at least with outdoor conditions. You might want to check to make sure your device is set to connect to LTE. I had to manually switch it to LTE initially on my Nexus 5. I am not familiar with the iPhone though, so it may be different.
  23. Speaking of 4G LTE in North Olmsted, I grabbed B41 near the mall and a speed test result gave me almost 40Mbps down. It appears that many more B41 sites have been activated lately. I had B41 while traversing 480 today more often than not. Unfortunately, the coordinates in the screenshot are not correct. I was at Great Northern Blvd. and Brookpark Rd.
  24. As of now, there are 309/622 sites in our market that have B25 LTE confirmed and documented; that's approximately 49.7%. The spreadsheet (available in the sponsor section) will aid in much faster verifications of B26 installs and possibly 8T8R (depending on how the GCI's are issued) whenever Sprint decides to roll it out. If you've got anything in your area that isn't on the spreadsheet and map yet, please let me or KD8JBF know, even if it is only one site. I'd like to eventually start up a B26/41 spreadsheet for our market, but so far the interest in the B25 spreadsheet is lackluster at best. If there's enough interest, I can certainly make it happen. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6041-cleveland-market-mapspreadsheet/ Thanks folks!
  25. That looks like a TV antenna to me. I have yet to find any Sprint sites on anyone's house. There are highrise building mounted sites that I have found in Mentor and Beachwood, but the vast majority of sites are on self supporting lattice/truss towers or on monopoles.
