I love the phone! Its sprint i have the problem with. I don't know why they insist on doing everything the ass backward way. I was really nice when this happened the first few times but it was only when i went in there with the account holder and yelled at them that i got stuff done.. Any way the new one is working for now so i HOPE that this will be the end of it.

After dealing with them for over 5 hours both in person and over the phone we just went back, again, to the repair store and they switched out the SIM card and for the first time in over 3 weeks i have not had problems and was able to connect to eHRPD again..

Well got my new phone, and guess what NEW PROBLEMS! This is so damn annoying.. Sprint customer service is so dumb, "take out the SIM card and clean it" really? I just got the stupid thing today! Maybe you guys can help.. It keeps bringing me to this Self Service screen that i have never seen before and this error message..

I was looking at the settings in mobile network and it has these 2 options that say Domestic voice and Domestic data and when i select them it says "Additional charges may apply per plan. Do you wish to enable this setting?" What do these do?

Alright, so i went to sprint and they tested the radio and completely reset the phone and reactivated it on the network and it still didn't work so they are ordering me a new phone. Since then i have not been able to get on eHRPD at all, only 1x and evdo. Its also been the slowest i have ever seen.

I know its the same network, it just feels like it because it will stop working on eHRDP. It will work for about 5 or 10 minutes then get "stuck" on the upload arrow. I cant use anything that needs a data connection until it looses the data connection completely and reconnects to 3G on the EVDO type. So at this point i can only use the phone without problems by putting the phone in CDMA only mode.. witch sucks because then i cant search for LTE at all.

Its not the speed, its the fact that it wont connect at all when on eHRPD. Are you able to use the 3G on eHRPD or does it kick you down to EvDo or 1x?

I have the silver one. Im going to be bringing it into sprint tomorrow and see if they will just test the radio and the system.

So is anyone having problems connecting to anything on eHRPD? I thought it was my phone but it might be the tower upgrades. The problem im having is that it gets stuck uploading on the eHRPD network type, loses the connection then reconnects to EvDo or 1xRTT.

That one does not get updated as fast as the sponsor maps. You just have to wait or become a sponsor of the site to see the other maps.

Only a few weeks, and the problem started happening about a week and a half ago. I will bring it into sprint tomorrow, its just weird.

Alright i factory reset the phone and it still wont connect through eHRPD.. So i get to use my new HTC One on wifi or 1xRTT.. This is getting old fast. Can anyone shed some light on what might be the problem? Is the phone or radio bad?

I have never rooted as i do not know how or what im getting into if i do. Im just going to do a full reset of the phone.

So i took my phone into sprint because of the problems with the 3G and all they really did was put the network mode to CDMA Only and it works just like it did when i got it. I played around with it for a few hours and it never lost the connection. I noticed that the Mobile network type switched to CDMA - EvDo rev. A. So just to see if it worked i switched it back to LTE/CDMA mode and it started doing the upload only and not connect until it dropped the 3G and reconnected, still that only worked for 10 min before it broke again. So my phone cant use 3G on a CDMA - eHRPD network type. This happened not only in Tucson, AZ but in Eugene, OR so its not just Tucson.. Guess i will just bring it back to them tomorrow and see if they will actually fix it this time. EDIT - Also it looks like the 3G works on the 1xRTT network type.

I have reset it multiple times, how would i do a hard reset? Yeah.. I thought it was a Tucson thing because of all the tower work but its going the same thing in Eugene so idk what to do.

Thats all? I have it set to that, i was just hoping that i would be on it a bit more. I dont know if its the network or the One but i have had to cycle airplane mode every 10 minutes because it gets "stuck" uploading on the 3g but wont download at all and eventually drop the 3g all together leaving me with nothing. Its a pain when im trying to navigate here in Eugene Oregon on vaca. But when i cycle airplane mode it will get a normal 3g signal, for a bit..

So what settings do I need to have to connect to lte? I'm in an area with it and have not had much luck.

Just got here and I'm having a hard time connecting to lte. I got it for 5 seconds and I have not picked it up since even though I'm in a purple area.

Just a follow up - I drove in the same area that it would not download like yesterday and it did the same thing (upload arrow lit up and no download arrow). It stayed that way the whole time until i cycled airplane mode. I guess it connect to a new tower but i did get a very low download compared to normal.

I know they have to turn off the cell to upgrade it, It would be impossible to keep them up and running when they are literally disconnecting cables and changing out equipment. I have just never experienced it happening all over town. like Robert said before things are going to get worse before they get better..
