  1. Also, it seems that they almost encourage you to buy a cheap Ting phone and flash the ESN to a Sprint phone so it works on their network. Interesting...
  2. I just saw that the Galaxy SII (E4GT) has been added to the Ting lineup. It is selling, non-subsidized for $80 cheaper that the Photon at $465
  3. I doubt any other carrier has this cool a forum... haven't been looking though Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

  5. I got 1 upgrade on the premier program before it ended >_> Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  6. usable at least. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  7. One would think that there would be some kind of leak. It is only a little over 2 weeks from the release... They have to be distributing them to stores now or soon at least, someone will leak the specs soon.
  8. Maybe Sprint thinks the same as all the sports teams... I always wondered why they were all called Minnesota _____. Maybe they figure that everything that isn't the Minneapolis Metro is wilderness.
  9. You stick around here and you can learn a LOT. There are a lot of smart people on this forum that I have learned from. The forums and articles here should be required reading for the customer service reps that sell phones, so they actually know what is going on. I think Sprint would rather have them in the dark, and use the "4G LTE is coming" company line though.
  10. I'm wondering if the 800 MHz will have interference problems as it is spaced out for 1900 MHz propigation?
  11. First of all, twospirits is talking about unlocking the bootloader and not just rooting, but: Not all phones are the same mellimel, the kernel for the Photon was never released and nobody has been able to figure out how to get 4G WiMax working without the information contained in the kernel. Motorola wants their bootloaders to remain locked, so even if hackers/developers find ways to unlock the bootloader, they end up losing some functionality. Your Nexus S had all the propriatary information released because having an easily unlocked bootloader is a common trait of Nexus phones, Samsung also leaves the bootloader relatively easy to unlock. HTC gives instructions on how to unlock their bootloaders. Motorola is just flat out stubborn on it. This could be why we have seen a HTC Nexus and 2 Samsung Nexi but nothing from Motorola besides the Xoom. The thread at XDA regarding unlocking the bootloader is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216143
  12. This one is OEM and has the NFC chip on it so I suggest buying the Samsung battery in this instance. Otherwise, yes, I would say buy something cheaper off Amazon or ebay.
  13. There is a thread right here regarding Sprint's exit from WiMax devices. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/9-youve-seen-your-last-wimax-phone/
  14. I'd like to see where you are finding this information. Sprint has come out and publicly stated that they will not release another WiMax phone. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  15. Sprint plans to have all Network Vision work done by the end of 2013, if that helps answer your question.
  16. At least it was half off, or $25 when I bought it. I would be mad if I paid $50 for it.
  17. This lawsuit is even more frivilous than all the patent lawsuits going around. What competing smartphone maker do you suppose put her up to suing Apple? http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-57404273-71/woman-breaks-nose-on-apple-store-sues-for-$1m/
  18. What the??? I had to buy it separate... Oh well. It's worth it.
