  1. I have removed Wi-Fi calling from my account page, outgoing calls ring for a while then I get the same number has been disconnected message. FaceTime audio somewhat remedies the issue for now but nTelos 3G can only work so well... Anyone have more of a fix? I don't think a restore would fix it since it seems to be on the carrier end and not device end.
  2. The site could just have heavy traffic connected to it. Try to use the same site after midnight and see what kind of speeds you pull from it then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I updated my 6 Plus to 8.3 and everything seemed fine. I activated Wi-Fi calling and everything was flawless. Yesterday my friend was complaining that he cannot make calls or receive calls when not on Wi-Fi - the caller gets a voice recording saying the number has been disconnected and when he tries to call someone it says their number has been disconnected. Today I realized this is happening to me too. We both have turned off wifi calling and tried hard resets with no luck, Sprint reps just said do a hard reset otherwise they don't have another answer and to contact Apple. Anyone else having this issue..?
  4. I was in the direct center of the city at the Market Square and all around there and then off to the western part of the city as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. i cannot say that I was 100% certain but I didn't catch any Band 41 the entire trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I've been all over Knoxville today visiting and not once has my phone connected to Spark. (iPhone 6 Plus) I'm currently looking directly at a tower with Sprint equipment and what looks to be 8T8R antennas and all my phone is doing is jumping between 25/26. Is this a known issue around here or is my phone just refusing to connect? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. nTelos's service map is pretty accurate service wise from my experience it doesn't exaggerate coverage really at all. Speed wise, i've been to all the places you listed and they have been upgraded and have decent 3G speeds (.8-2mbps) so long as there aren't too many people around bogging down the tower. Beckley being a slight exception because it seems no matter what time of day it is the towers seem to struggle with speed.
  8. The employees at my local Sprint store sure do seem confident that Sprint is buying nTelos.
  9. About two weeks ago when I picked up my 6 Plus they overheard me talking about leaving for VZW come June when my contract is over and their immediate response was "is it because you don't have 4G?" and I said yes of course that's the only issue I have. That ended up with 4 workers telling me how it was supposed to be up and running back in January but they ran into issues. Honestly it all sounded like the normal response in hopes of not losing a customer. I also mentioned the forum and how the 4G they've put up isn't necessarily up to NV standards and would need to be partially redone but they seemed pretty confident that was wrong and that LTE would be available on Sprint any day now. Also funny that last time I went in store they had nTelos reps talking with employees. Just putting my two cents; from Beckley anyways. Also as a side note, all of the employees at my local Sprint store have their phones rooted and constantly run their rooted hotspot apps and all I could think was how a total no no that is..
  10. $236 on the old Simply Everything 1500 plan with 4 smartphones, two having Total Equipment Protection.
  11. Switching most likely means paying a lot more & if you're going to switch I would go to Verizon for the best mix of speed and coverage (from my personal experience that is). AT&T has the best coverage here but is overloaded usually, USC isn't a speed demon but they're ok for most normal people (although many people I know who USC drop to weak 3G or 1x as soon as they enter a building). My friend on Verizon pays almost $190 a month for one phone & a 4GB plan while we pay $235 for 4 phones & unlimited. Just my two cents on switching I suppose. Pre-paid is an option as well if you can stomach an off contract priced phone.
  12. I would attempt to call my parents but we all have iPhones & there's no real way to distinguish an HD call on them.
  13. I wonder if HD voice is on in Beckley. I didn't even know if nTelos was going to bother with that or not. I don't talk on the phone enough to really say if they sound better or not.
  14. If you have the money for Verizon & chance to leave Sprint (in nTelos's coverage area) I would jump ship. Personally I can't stomach a near $300 phone bill & having to worry about running out of data. Also it would take me 4 line cancellations to move so... That's a pretty large expense.
  15. I'm curious... What about somewhere like Beckley or any other place where LTE is already launched. Will they have to install new equipment again or is it as simple as adding Sprint carrier cards to the towers?
  16. Honestly misunderstood that article. I thought they were just talking about putting more work into the western half of the network for the time being cause it needed it. It's been a long morning [emoji28]
  17. I would assume the line is drawn by Waynesboro. So western meaning west of Waynesboro.
  18. If they're starting from scratch what is the use in the work they've done so far? Wouldn't that basically mean juggling & managing two different LTE rollouts?
  19. That's what I was thinking. Hopefully if it's real they start working here in Beckley & the other places it's launched as well. I'd be happy to be the test guinea pig for LTE!
  20. I never make it to Lewisburg... It's so close like 40 minutes. And that spot near Nitro outside of Saint Albans never connected to me when I went through there a couple weeks ago.
  21. Just curiously browsing and I saw this. Along with many small dots of Sprint 4G scattered in nTelos territory....
  22. 5S. I'm usually lucky to get around 3 1/2 - 4 hours of screen on time.
  23. Running 8.1 Beta 2 for a few days now and I don't notice many changes. It feels a tad bit snappier when opening apps and going through menu's but that's about it. It's still just as buggy and crash-prone as 8.0.2 and battery life is just as awful. I can watch it fall from 60% to 40% in almost 20 minutes sometimes. Sometimes it will drop 3-5% at a time. I really wish Apple was still signing 7.1.2.
  24. Are they doing this now like as we speak and allowing us to use it or is this like their plan for like months down the road?
  25. So.... I understood most of that (I think) but some parts were fuzzy. Is it just more bad news that we aren't getting any LTE at all or is it saying that we may get LTE soon but it's going to be crap?
