  1. Morgantown is in nTelos' 2014 build out plans for LTE. But we can't connect. Just some faster, usable at times 3G speeds.
  2. I recieved the same message from Sprint. When nTelos was beginning their upgrades I got the "We are building you an all new network!" message. :/ Kinda twisted of them to send us those messages but it not actually be any work on Sprint's half.
  3. I really hope some work happen soon. Whether it be Sprint overbuilds with their own network or nTelos allows us access on their LTE network. My 3G speeds have dropped back to near unusable. Sub 1Mbps in most cases. :/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. http://youtu.be/Nxufsk5Sydk There's a video on how to do it, although they are using a Verizon PRL to force roaming it's the same steps just use a Sprint PRL in place of the Verizon one he demonstrates.
  5. Anybody like to explain this? Picked up 800mhz 1x in Beckley. My phone would NOT revert off of extended or to 3G until right as I got home then it went back to native (nTelos) 3G. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  6. I'm in the nTelos market of Beckley WV. Currently in a spot with around 3 bars of 3G but my phone suddenly switched to Extended 1x and is reading 800mhz. Any explanations? Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  7. --Disregard this post I got something completely wrong--
  8. And that very fact is a huge disappointment. Seeing as how I have been expecting it since November and now it is looking like i am not getting it is a huge let down and really puts me off. Not only will there be a gaping hole in Sprint's coverage map but it will not be filled until after most all of NV is completed. It was extremely stupid of them, in my opinion, to have a contract for almost an entire state and a half to be covered by a regional and NOT include LTE. Unless they can work something out in the near future to achieve that i will most likely be paying double on AT&T, for less data, in the near future when it comes to my cell phone plan. Mini rant over.
  9. At least then LTE would for sure be coming. Not a maybe, maybe not situation like it is with nTelos...
  10. Last paragraph says "The carrier had previously announced plans to have 70% of its potential customer base covered with LTE services by the end of 2014, with the network serving both its own customers as well as roaming customers from Sprint." Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  11. I've noticed Shentel recently started offering internet in the Beckley area. Lots of commercials, wouldn't doubt that they could get it done in no time seeing their track record. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  12. I asked if we could connect under the wholesale network agreement and what band their LTE has been deployed on. Good news is that is is 1900 Band 25 according to her. But still telling me that even under the agreement it only allows for 3G data not 4G. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  13. If that is true then it may be bad news... Unless it doesn't require PCS to connect under that agreement. Most phones do have the hardware to connect to that band anyway.
  14. Where were you for that test? I can't seem to get above .7 and .7 with all of these Holiday travelers...
  15. I live in Beckley, I've been everywhere trying to connect. LTE is here but Sprint isn't authorized to connect yet. Did you check SignalCheck for eHRPD or anything? Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  16. A few weeks..... fingers crossed it isn't that long but you never know with nTelos.....
  17. Back on the 18th Robert posted on this thread saying that Sprint users will "DEFINITELY" connect, it was written and signed and over with, and further supports that they are trying to directly sell us the service. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  18. Just chatted with another nTelos representative. I was told they have done "soft" launches in Beckley and Waynesboro, I asked if Sprint customers could connect once it is formally launched but i was continuously told that the roaming agreement is only for 3G data. Then again i know online chats like that should be taken with a grain of salt so it was probably just a tactic to provoke me into switching.
  19. Saw a few people saying that nTelos was launching LTE here in Beckley today.... LET ME ON IT!!! ): Got my 5S today and need LTE to partner it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Fingers crossed Sprint customers just aren't authorized to connect yet but will soon. It's a shame we can't right away though.
  21. Report back to here as soon as you pick up something! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. When do you think authentication for sprint accounts will go live? Is it that complicated to do or are they just giving their own customers first access for a while? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Update us ASAP.......... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Buying them out would really speed up network improvements in this big "hole" on their coverage map, and finally add some orange to it. It would also cut out a lot of hassle with them having to keep giving them money and fool with it all. It would make things more linear and smoother and over with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
