  1. I seem to remember it saying sometime in 2017 would be the deadline. Far too long in my opinion. Unless it is a 100% complete and Spark-like network when they release it in 2017 it will probably still be outdated and overly saturated with users. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I actually checked T-Mobile's service map after posting and they've come far when it comes to coverage in western VA urban areas. That's probably 1/4 of nTelos land but still, in almost ALL of WV T-Mobile doesn't touch, the panhandles are all they bother to cover. But now I believe to be getting a little off topic for the threat [emoji16][emoji28][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. In probably 75-85% of nTelos land, Project Fi is completely useless due to the lack of ANY T-Mobile coverage besides AT&T roaming. Besides *some* of eastern KY and western VA, T-Mobile has nothing but roaming.
  4. I don't think they got the S5 until almost Fall or some time at the end of summer. So probably the same with the 6 I would assume. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Curious if anyone in Myrtle Beach can give me insight on coverage at Myrtlewood Villas? We have stayed there in the past but always had awful coverage, teetering between 1 bar of 1x and 2 bars extended 1x, completely unusable even for calls (pre LTE days). Now that Myrtle Beach has pretty good LTE coverage I was wondering if 800 has remedied that area in particular.
  6. Danville is still nTelos and Yanceyville area, according to the service map, is roaming. Check the service map for a "general" idea of coverage, it's usually overblown a bit but better than nothing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Your guess is as good as ours. We have been asking that for a year and a half. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Coming soon* *Another year or more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone else having a problem with inbound calls labeled as either "No Caller ID" or "Unknown?" I disabled wifi calling when 8.3 came out due to not being able to make or receive calls but re-enabled it a few days ago and haven't had that specific issue but now all calls come in as essentially a blocked number, the same thing happens to a friend of mine.
  10. Strange, I work at Cross Roads Mall and barely have 2 bars when I'm there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. If you're talking about the stretch between Beckley and Charleston, no one has any coverage there. Also the roaming carrier in this area is USC not VZW. I believe I saw a small blip of LTE on Sprint's "new" map in Blacksburg so it is apparently there not sure how widespread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. More of the usual. Was told to ##UPDATE# for the PRL and then told to reset my network settings. When neither of those efforts worked they just said the Team has been alerted to my specific issue and will fix it shortly. Anyone notice how close it is to being exactly one year after the agreement being signed?? 5-22-14
  13. No luck in Beckley. Thinking of contacting Sprint customer service just for kicks about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Everywhere nTelos has launched LTE is shown on the map. So it is "accurate." After a restart, PRL update and airplane mode cycle I'm unable to connect to LTE in Beckley currently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Sitting in the middle of Beckley with no LTE... Freaking out though due to the map... Trying everything.
  16. I sure hope they open up the network just for the sake of doing so, even if they do a lot of work on it after doing so. And I hope that LTE gets deployed in Morgantown soon because I'll be moving there in August. It would really suck if I moved to a 3G only city and my home town finally gets LTE... 17. Even if the buyout goes through, don't these things usually take a while? If that's the case then the LTE rollout seems like it won't come any sooner but it will be better once it is here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. At a 50% premium. They must really feel bad for people like us! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I forgot to include the location in case that would help out. I think the directional antennas are aimed towards the airport but the top and bottom ones are aimed a little differently but that's about all that's in that General direction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This is a tower I pass frequently during the week. the top portion is for sure nTelos and for the longest time was the only equipment on the tower but on Wednesday I passed by and noticed workers climbing the tower installing new equipment beneath nTelos. I'm curious as to who's equipment it is I'm at a total loss. I know all of AT&T's new towers around here have 4 Panels per (sector?) and Verizon's have 4 as well. It's extremely low to the ground and has a directional antenna on one side (left in picture) while the other 2 have "normal" tall thin ones just like the nTelos setup above. I've never been able to find anything specific about USC's equipment but I believe they have a HUGE mess of antennas given the ones I've seen around here. The RRU's behind the antennas looks like a cross between Ericsson and ALU. I might head out later with my DSLR for a better photo. My curiosity has clearly got the best of me on this one! 21. That blip is in an area with absolutely no coverage. Between the tolls of Beckley and Charleston no one except I believe AT&T have any coverage at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Those panels look similar to the ones in Beckley you might be in luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Sounds just like upgrades here in Beckley, it lasted I think just over a month until service was back to normal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. One thing I haven't heard much talk about on this thread is HD Voice. Is nTelos even bothering with it or is it unknown? Calls here in Beckley sound pretty nice most of the time it's a noticeable improvement recently.
