  1. What he said. That'll push you back into 1x800. Yes, I'm still on 1x800. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  2. Well, Milwaukee Market is back to getting blanked on acceptance reports again. At for the Thursday report. Perhaps the Friday, Saturday, Sunday report will be better for these last few towers. The Verona tower is now broadcasting 1x800 strongly so hopefully that's a sign. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  3. well, let's see if those purported 23 acceptances show up on today's report if Robert has time/received them! I was getting more 1x800 signal on my commute from the Prairie tower for some reason.
  4. I believe I heard it discussed that any Yellow pin (and green) can be connected to, just not Purple ones. There's a lengthy article about it here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-357-nexus-5-and-lg-g2-experience-temporary-sprint-lte-connectivity-issues-due-to-circuit-switched-fallback-technology/
  5. That'd be really convenient, I just got my replacement S4 yesterday for some reboot issues I was having with my S4....I would have just sold it back and got the Triband S4 in a few days! (doubtful it'd even come out that soon if announced....nor am I in a Spark market) Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  6. Have we seen any recent internal documents confirming the Tri-band S4 (non-mini) besides the FCC OET filing?
  7. Well, if these new 23 updates include the towers downtown Madison proper, they certainly aren't broadcasting anything yet to clue us in. Data on State Street is awful right now. The 1xRTT is still listing a triangulated address and not exact tower addresses (which is not the case if you get 1xRTT from a 1x800 tower). I was picking up 1x800 from the Waunakee Tower off 113. There did appear to be ladders and such on the roof where the Sprint hardware is on State Street, but obviously could be for many other reasons, unless they were testing and tuning. Those towers are going to really be taxed immediately since the density is higher there. Hopefully they're included in the next round. LTE is neat and all around where I live, but I'm "out" more downtown and commute through those areas.
  8. Perhaps the 1x800SMR approvals? 23 is like our whole city....
  9. Oh wait a second, you're missing something.....You know you only pay the deductible if there's water damage, right? Otherwise it's no cost. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  10. Funny that the network.sprint.com map for Madison looks an awful like the maps over in the Sponsor section finally ......I haven't looked at this page in a very long time since the upgrades were going on in our area. They're missing a few towers on there, not many though.
  11. Yeah, I agree and not angrily. :-) I have a sweet setup with my phones. I get them cheap and have the potential for issues that need tep. The 2 times I declined it, I had issues that required it. Insurance is always a scam for any product, I never get extended warranties on anything else. This is my one weakness.
  12. Oh yeah, they've only upgraded the University Ave (Old University) tower near Camp Randall. There's several more that need to be done downtown. So 4 of the 5 LTE acceptances were in Madison for today, I've updated my .gif over in the sponsor forum. I really should have done this from the beginning, but oh well, its nice to see the wave of red and yellow..... There are only 5 towers left in Madison proper that need acceptance of any sort, all of them downtown. The West Washington Ave tower is putting off lots of 3G eHRPD, but NO 1xRTT for voice, it's being trumped by the Rimrock tower with 1x800. I'm hoping that one gets accepted soon, as that should help on my commute home. That leaves the one nearest the Capitol on the West and East, State Street, then the one down by Madison Metro depot. Can't confirm equipment on the East and West of Capitol, but the others have equipment.
  13. The only few I've run into on my journies are West Wash Ave, Segoe, and North Madison near Mallards Park that do 1xRTT. The rest (and I've gone by many) are 1x800. I'd bet they'll be on soon though. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  14. Just looking at shear number of towers, I always thought that finishing Madison first just made sense because we only have a handful of towers compared to Milwaukee. From a marketing stand point, you could say you launched a major city in Wisconsin. I'm fairly certain Milwaukee will happen just like Madison. It was easier for me to get those few Madison towers pictured and put on the in progress thread. That gave us a potential clue as to when we'd start to see acceptances, then they fell like dominoes. It'll be that way in Milwaukee too. No doubt. If you start to see 1x800 popping up in new places, then your time is near. We're practically all 1x800 here save for a few towers. We also have Mangurt tweeting daily about the atrocious service here.....so perhaps they just wanted to shut him up?
  15. We really need those few downtown towers to light up. Data is real finicky down there right now. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  16. New gif, incoming!! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  17. Yup, I'm a sucker. Oh and I can just walk in and 2 days later I have a phone in the mail for free for most issues. You know that you have to ship your phone to Samsung for any repairs without tep? How about water damage? That's a full price phone instead of deductible. Tep seems like a rip off unless you have small kids with grubby slippery hands. And yes she has her own phone now (E4GT in airplane mode) that she can destroy. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  18. Hey Robert, what's up with the site's notifications? Not getting them by email for several days now, and now Tapatalk isn't giving them to me either? My other forums (like XDA, etc.) email notifications and tapatalk notifications are working fine though.
  19. Those screenshots indicate that you're connect to the Prairie St Tower, which is not in Verona, its up off Maple Grove. I had very spotty connection to the Verona tower when I was down there yesterday. I did get some mapped LTE but it was from my Fitchburg Tower. On my drive in, Monroe street is still a mess, hardly any signal there, no LTE for sure, but appears to be improved eHRPD strength. I think once the West Wash towers are live, things should be better. Still spotty downtown Madison proper. I did pull 16.53 down and 9.47 up right outside Camp Randall from the University Ave tower.
  20. Thanks. I'm going in today to get a replacement anyways. I couldn't figure out why my phone keeps rebooting or turning off randomly, either. I finally found that if you tap the back, it'll turn off! Something must be loose in there. Well, good thing I pay for TEP. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
