  1. Honestly the past 2 - 3 weeks I have seen a big improvement in download speeds even during heavy foot traffic on the Sprint Tower at Fashion Square Mall in Ch’ville. This is the one I’m always connected to at my apartment up the street. Upload speeds still averaging 2.4-5.xx but download speeds use to be around 25 down during heavy foot traffic times and 30-40 download speeds when the load wasn’t so heavy. Where my apartment is I’m always connected to Band 41. I am impressed that the download speeds have made a big improvement lately.

You can get the 14 developer or public beta profile right now... i dont think Apple is pushing it to 13 testers although i did somehow get pushed from 12 to 13 back when it began.

When a new iOS comes out (ie 10.0, 11.0 etc.) public beta won’t come out for several weeks after the new iOS number. iOS 14 you can only get the developers beta till about mid July. Been beta testing since iOS 11.

I am on 14 beta....the morning after I posted the image, the darn thing started working...and I do find that I am on Sprint all the time except when I am definitely roaming...there are places along the James River where I have to be on US Cellular for that's all there is.....however I am getting wall to wall signal in Glasgow, which may be Tmo since I never had anything at there before....except a few seconds of actual Sprint as I pass over the Maury River and intercept the signal out of Buena Vista

Ah nice. Yeah waiting on iOS 14 Public Beta next month to come out for me to start testing it. Where I’m always at all the towers have both Sprint and T-Mobile. Haven’t roamed in awhile to see if it switches to T-Mobile. Hopefully sometime soon I’ll be able to find out.

Sprint and tmo closely overlap everywhere i go here lately so if i run out of sprint there isn’t any tmo either....so if I can’t have a home signal  I’ll be just as likely roaming on USCelluar or on some mysterious extended network

oh and i found out that the 92B7468D-663A-4BD3-87B2-2053A5B95E85.png

field test menu is borked in this beta... it loads but displays nothing...oh well it’s early for ios 14, not even warm let alone fully baked

The iOS 13.6 Beta 3 fixes the issue. Just downloaded it this afternoon.

I'm not convinced much has actually changed yet.  It seems to me like they've opened up roaming a touch more, but otherwise Sprint customers are still on the Sprint network as much as possible.  I have yet to connect to T-Mobile anything since the day of the merger.

Honestly I haven’t roamed on T-Mobile yet at least here in Charlottesville. Considering that Both T-Mobile/Sprint have very well got the entire city covered atm. Hopefully once they start transitioning things over it will be more likely.

Was on one of the tech channels on YouTube...

A Sprint tower tech was saying speaking in anonymity that on closing (April 1) they are setting up to open the networks.   Meaning, via software update, Sprint will have access to T-Mobile and vis-a-versa... on April 1st.   Hoping this is true!

    On Tower Integration...

They are setting up  Integration do begin nearly immediately as they are set to do market by market tower integrations   (combining towers/ moving equipment to best site). They will be doing massive mimo upgrades as much as possible at the same-time on 2.5, band 41, Band 25 (1900 sprint) band 2 (1900 T-Mo.) and Band 4 (TMO 1700/2100)   According to him, they have the maps ready and will only be combing towers that are very nearby each other to avoid interference.   The network integration will take approx 2 years, but realistically less.   Again, this is market by market... (Metro area- by Metro area).    Thoughts?  ...

That’s one thing I like about where my apartment is. The tower I connect to 75% of the time is right behind my apartment and sits right at the mall so it’s about 1/4 mile up the street. The tower has Verizon, ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular on the tower. And T-Mobile already has 5G up and running on that tower and a few others already in town.

  7. Took about a minute and a half on my iPhone 7+ to download. Got the update at 105 pm est. Just FYI if you have the Hulu app you will loose the ability to cast it to Chrome Cast. Pretty sure it’s just the app. Since I can still cast from YouTube and Netflix. You can regain it for a min or so if you uninstall Hulu and reinstall it but will loose it again.
