Isn't the back haul their own?
I've wondered for years who has done the back haul to the former nTelos sites. Never did figure out who did.

Stupid photo uploader is being retarted for me today for some reason. But just did a speedtest on B41 in Abbington Crossings behind Fashion Square Mall and got Ping of 74 Download of 10.95 and Upload of 8.69. Did one on B41 around 2 or 230 this morning and got Ping of 74 Download of 45.67 and Upload of 14.23.

It was on Rose Hill Drive

Ya I've always had somewhat slow speeds over that way. Hoping they get everything in that area adjusted soon. I know up at Fashion Square Mall stuff has been improving a lot. 90% of the time at the house I'm connected to Band 41 and call and LTE has improved a lot in the past month.

I don't think they've quite fine tuned it in Charlottesville, but at least I'm not dropping LTE completely!

What part of Ch'ville is this? I might be able to give some in site depending on if I have been in that part of town recently.

Woke up this morning, and so far (knock on wood), my LTE is not dropping out, and I'm getting pretty amazing 4G speeds. Hope this is fixed!

Haven't been to Crozet in a few months. Glade it's seems to be getting better. Last time I was out their I was dropping LTE left and right. Hoping that they are getting it fixed finally.

Ok so here's the updated list. Anyone know what's happening with the one or two still marked with a question mark?
SouthernLINC Wireless: No
nTelos Wireless: Yes
C Spire Wireless: Yes
Nex-Tech Wireless: Yes
Flat Wireless (ClearTalk Wireless): No?
SI Wireless (MobileNation): Yes
Inland Cellular: Yes
Illinois Valley Cellular: ?
Carolina West Wireless: Yes
James Valley Telecommunications: Yes
VTel Wireless: No
Phoenix Wireless: ?
Bluegrass Cellular: Yes
Blue Wireless: No?
Pine Belt Wireless: No
Pioneer Cellular: ?
Public Service Wireless: No
United Wireless: Yes
On a side note, I'm really hoping that Sprint signs a roaming agreement with CellularOne in northeast Arizona/northwestern New Mexico (the provider that AT&T roams on) now that they've launched LTE. It would close a big coverage hole. Here's their map if anyone is curious:
Btw you might want to change nTelos to Shentel since Shentel purchase of nTelos went through last year.

No issues in Portland or around I-95
Nice. What about the Bangor Area?

Has anyone used the network in Maine lately? If so has it improved for the best?
Thinking about taking a trip up to see family and friends at the end of June if I'm able to.

Has anyone else in Ch'ville Va experiencing LTE at The Corner area? Seems like the past week and a half every time I go threw The Corner it either drops to 3g or it drops to no data signal what so ever. I've tried doing the airplane mode toggle and even tried restarting my phone etc. multiple times each time I go through the area but will not reconnect to LTE till I either hit Emmet Street or 4th Street NW/Ridge Street area depending which way I'm heading.
Think the prob was just the G4. I just did my upgrade on Tuesday and switched to an iPhone 7+ and had no problems with dropping LTE or anything. So it more than likely was a phone issue and not a network issue.

Lg has promise nougat for lg g4, at least in Korea. They did say it might not be stable.

Ya not sure when or if the US G4 will be getting it. Even if we do get it I will have another phone by then.
-
Ya just a security patch.
-
I haven't noticed that, but I'm not around the Corner much, and don't necessarily check my phone. I can say that I've never dropped music stream there, which would likely happen given the old dropped LTE means eHRPD for a while with no data.

Ya I usually never drop data in the Corner area either. Not sure if all the construction right there at the tower across the street from World of Beer is having any impact on it or not. Since the construction is so close to it.

The G5 will hopefully have Android N soon. It is on the LG OpenSource Code Page.

Starting to see really high ping times and slow up and down speeds again in both Greene and Albemarle County Va once again. Been like that for the past 3 or 4 days now.

New prls for LG G4 are 55058

Ya finally normal pings again.

I understand that they are doing work on the network but what is happening just doesn't make sense. I am all for Band 26 deployment but in these city areas it struggles to keep up with demand. We need more 41 sites and I understand they are new to this and trying to fix the nTelos mess that was left for them but I don't understand why things were working great like they should and then sites are disappearing and now high pings.
I don't come here to bash Sprint or Shentel I just know you guys know more than I do but I would just love to see some real improvement because all of us have been waiting a long time

Ya I'm no expert my self. I'm just guessing that they are working on it. But we do need more Band 41 sites for sure esp. In Ch'ville/Albmarle esp with all the people who are coming over from nTelos to Sprint.
I'm no expert, but is it possible an Internet line went down in that area and traffic is being temporarily rerouted through a much slower connection?

I'm not sure tbh. Would be nice to know if that is part of the problem or not.

I think Shentel is working on the network at this point. I had LTE up until about 2 or 3 months ago I use to have LTE in my office at my house in Greene which is between Standardsville and Ruckersville and use to get Band 25. Then I lost it. Yesterday I am able to pick up Band 26 in my office at the house, as well as the kitchen and part of the living room.

I know the ups and downs are good but with the ping I couldnt really do much except check facebook at a slow pace.

It's been a good 4 or 5 months since I've been down to Buckingham. Last time I was down their it was working fine roaming on US Cellular. Hopefully it will get situated around soon.
