  5. Do you have B41 in the affected area? Is it a side effect of the new aggressive B41 config? If it doesn't abandon B41 soon enough and holds it into the 120+db range, it'd do something like that. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  6. Qualify that. Same general external design. If you're hung up on that and looking no further, you get what you deserve. The guts are very different. Just the external format is similar. That format wasn't broke so there was nothing to fix there. Electrically, HUGE difference, so your statement as written is entirely incorrect. New radios, weather resistant, sd card, new computing architecture, talk of a new display technology, newest OS compatibility, newest gorilla glass, about the only thing likely missing is USB-c. The lack of a user replaceable battery may not be a big deal if they have the latest battery and charging tech incorporated for durability. What else did I forget? 11. Unlimited data matters to me more, but it never hurts to ask for more capability. It's nice to be able to do things like have a caller ask me about imminent weather and be able to look up animated radar quickly. I'm sure there are a myriad of other little such conveniences like that out there. It's always useful to spread those wishes to as many people as possible since you never know when they'll hit the right ears. It always hurts to have a capability and lose it. I miss Nextel push to talk too. Not bad enough that I'm going to pay extra for it now that I don't work for the company that I needed it for back in the day. It'll be really nice to gain so much storage capacity in the 7 via sdhc so I can put all my notes and illustrated parts catalogs back into my phone and still have tons of space for apps and app data. Fine example of Samsung listening. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  12. They need it to return to simultaneous voice and data. High speed data this time. GS4 drops back to 3g when I'm on the phone is why I ask. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  13. I'm still a GS4 user. I can get at my simcard still. How is that handled with these phones that don't have removable batteries? Is that externally accessible like the SD card will be or do you have to dismantle the phone as if for repair (how is that done -screws, snap latch removable back, etc?) to replace one? Now that I think about it, what about all the traditional labeling? Is there a data-plate with model serial, etc like in the battery compartment of the GS4? Is that external or under some other service cover? Can an owner replace parts like I can with the GS4? I replaced my usb port module once and that was cheap and handy to be able to do. I also just posted a question on the FCC article. Where are we at as far as VOLTE support goes? Do any of the latest generation phones have an indication that Sprint is closer to implementing a VOLTE system yet? Is there any other provision for simultaneous voice and B41 LTE data capability with these phones? -Thanks.
  14. Where are we at as far as VOLTE progress goes? Are there any phone hardware considerations for that which are starting to appear yet?
  15. S4 - it'll be nice to have the CCA radios.
  16. Generally, since resistance isn't waterproof, the port can just have a sealed pass through and may still be subject to corrosion if not cleaned after immersion. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

  20. Probably but I took it to a good store with good techs and had them swap it out for me. It lasted an hour and failed. I called him back when I got back to work and it had failed and they ordered me a replacement phone again. He thinks it's probably the card reader but those parts are no longer available and you can still get a refurb phone on a one week backorder. This one just has to last a couple months anyway until the s7 comes out. Curiously I still have 3G service. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  21. SIM card fail. Started last night on the way home. A reboot of the phone fixed it over night. Failed hard this morning. Reboot. No luck Remove and replace card. No luck. Remove, blow out port, cotton cloth clean card contacts, click card in and out of the port a few times to try to rub those contact pins cleaner. No improvement. I was going to wait until the s7 released, might have to get a short term replacement on the service plan first now. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  22. In the Omaha metro it used to drop at 117, with a recent change it is now much more aggressive on b41 and holds to 125/127. My GS4T acts about the same as you reported. Great rates in the mid teens that fall off to garbage and intermittent at the mid 20s. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  23. Model numbers http://www.ibtimes.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-s7-edge-find-out-which-country-carrier-variants-will-receive-2189262 The model numbers of the Sprint Galaxy S7 and Sprint Galaxy S7 Edge are SM-G930P and SM-G935P. Not guaranteed... http://www.sammobile.com/2015/11/16/rumored-model-numbers-for-snapdragon-820-and-exynos-8890-powered-galaxy-s7-and-galaxy-s7-edge/ Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  24. Absolutely. But a phone manufacturer can control memory availability, not programmers or how many apps are installed. Unless you're fascist Apple. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  25. I'm not predicting, I'm not guessing. I'm simply saying that I would prefer they jump straight to bigger memory based on the fact that I can *easily* overtax my current GS4T and too many apps like to run in the background, monitor the world and notify about every little thing. The designers aren't keeping pace with the apps and crazy power users.
