A lot of this is caused by being at the edge off service which always uses more battery on any phone. The charger is also not powerful enough. Also use the LG cable as this phone is very fussy about thatI don't know of anyone with an N5. I like the g2 and I would have got the nexus of it wasn't for knock on and the ir blaster. Is there any way to change the threshold of when it connects to 1x 800? I think if that was fixed id be OK with it for awhile. I bet the nexus would work at my desk because I get a faint LTE right outside my door. I just want to stream all access all day long! I've been waiting for 800 LTE for 2 years and dang, what a disappointment. Also I've had this thing plugged into a 1amp charger pretty much all day since 6 and it only went from 10% to 80% now. Charger problem?

Cambridge is on the map but not officially listed. Added to the list is Akron and Toledo. Sprint did not release a city by city list so I did a comparison with the march 17th list then spot checked it. I put it on the thread above. Some pretty impressive cites, so check it out.

Son of Softbank, who owns most of Sprint, figures two years. Wants network work finished so there's no excuses. Technical progress is awesome, unfortunately some area needs to be lastYeah, I feel that they hate Hilliard and Dublin for some reason...
Also, sprint lost big on customers. I mean hundreds of thousands of subscribers. I feel like they're all going to T-Mobile sadly, hopefully Sprint's network improves so they don't go under.(maybe)

don't whine, just get lte discovery from the app storeMy question is this: why do we have to airplane toggle the S5 in a Spark area just to get LTE??? Sorry if im beating a dead horse here but it just doesn't seem right.

Marcy road area is so high you pick-up LTE from several sites away on the hilltopsI went through there last night for dinner. Looked for sasquatch, couldn't find him. I can say that here too and not get into trouble!!!!!
Data wasn't bad and that is a HUGE improvement for Lancaster. Abysmal would be a honest description on a good day previously.
I was hoping to pick up LTE from Marcy Rd. All I got was a bunch of hill jumping jollies for the kids and the wife screaming "slow down".
I'll end with, it's awful nice outside. You'd think there'd be a lot of work being done.

i think in the original version that was true, but in later versions in disables all lteNot sure if this was discussed yet, but if you disable LTE but leave B26/B41 enabled, will it still search for and connect to those bands? (ie. is it useful for finding those other bands around?) This is disabling the LTE band in ##DATA#.
Thanks!

Now I'm even more confused; that screenshot showed no LTE provider at all. The PLMN (numbers after the provider) is the only way the app can identify the Sprint LTE band.
Are you saying that PLMN 311490 indicates Sprint band 25 in your area? This would be the first I've heard of that.. until now, I have understood that 311490 either indicates Virgin Mobile or Sprint B41. The latest version of SignalCheck can recognize the differences between the two.
-Mike
My LG G2 in Columbus reports that Clearwire band 41 LTE reports:
- MCC 310 MNC 120 occurs about 18% of the time
- MCC 311 MNC 490 occurs about 82% of the time
Based on a sample taken yesterday, which is similar to what we discussed this many months ago (we all forget details).
Thanks

[4/17/2014 - This update notice has just been pulled]
Sprint has posted the details for Google's nexus 5 update: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5709-lg-google-nexus-5-users-thread/page-273&do=findComment&comment=307002 You should get it in the next several weeks. This will give spark support for bands 26 and 41. In Columbus, you will now have access to the fully open band 41 site sectors, which can change from day to day. When b41 (and b26) LTE is made fully open you will be ready!!!

I used to get a -92dBm average signal in the same spot with my S4T.
Did SCP work with your S4T? (if yes, Modded and/or stock?) Great to see SCP working with S5. thanks
-
I received your report, thanks.. are you sure you have seen other GCIs on that version of Android? The error I saw in the log is related to a new HTC security permission that I believe got added with the KitKat update, and isn't in the public version of the app yet (it's in the beta that is in testing now).
I haven't seen anything like that myself -- can you point me to an app that does that so I can check it out? I don't really think it would be feasible, because of the way that Google Play handles beta updates; it's an entirely separate APK. Just like how Lite and Pro are two completely independent apps that I maintain separate code branches for.
While the main focus of my work over the past 3 months has been fixing the crashing and stability issues, the features I added along the way weren't added separately, but as part of the app as a whole. I implemented the site note feature as a way to help track some of the instability problems that were happening, and when it worked better than I thought, I just cleaned it up a bit and added it to the beta. It was never at a point where the app was stable and I just started adding new features. I would have released it had it gotten to that point.
Great question! Something like Titanium Backup would do the trick (be sure to back up data, not just the app), or you could copy the signalcheck_log.db file out of /data/data/com.blueline.signalcheck/databases but I believe you need to be rooted for either option. That is a standard sqlite database, and there is nothing in it that restricts it to a specific device. In the future, I will be looking into adding more import/backup/restore functions from within the app. Export to .csv is all that is included right now.
I plan to publish more information about the database stuff once it's released, because there is a ton of potential with it. If someone took the time to merge a market spreadsheet with the SignalCheck database (which wouldn't be too tricky if you knew what you were doing), you could instantly have a fully "noted" market with very little effort -- and you could share that with anyone you wanted.. like in a market thread on here..

That's (importing market data) what i plan to do once this SCP is in production.

The regulars in this thread may already know, but I wish sensorly let you know about the five test minimum when you are running the speed tests. Often it is hard to go back to a out of town location
