you could contact Sprint airave support and have them restrict this to just the registered phones of this airave, provided the address is accurate and the actual home of the registered Sprint account holder (ie not parents, ex, clients, etc). Here is what I see...just did a prl update last night at scottwood and I suddenly see a legacy signal on Barnett.

We are at least a few weeks from being fully upgraded from legacy, excluding stragglers (Internet backhaul issues, tower problems, zoning issues, etc)
-
I just want share that there are many many contractors in Columbus. Over 20 upgraded sites appear finished. A large cluster launch could occur any day now. This will dramatically speed up 3G and most of these sites will have LTE soon after this cluster is launched. Politics aside, it is time for this message:

Wonder if this would allow for carrier aggregation? Perhaps:

While I agree on the outdated appearance and slowness of these maps, the item I find most ironic is how many months go by between when LTE is first turned on until it appears on these maps. It can be more than six months. This is really a fully launched market map more than a LTE available map. Then of course is the exaggeration of all the carrier coverage maps (smaller carriers often hide their own maps).

No changes in the markets I frequent, but perhaps in yours. This is sometimes a precursor to market launches. Lately it has been reflecting increased coverage from (Band 26) LTE 800. New Spark (Band 41 LTE) will also appear here when launched.

it is known as k street. The big two are used to working regulations as a barrier to entry.Maybe Masa Son can use his large billfold to bribe those government officials just like the large two do. Could get things going in Sprints favor. But a sprint/Tmobile merger would have to focus on coverage expansion, getting LTE to every site ATT/Verizon has. Beat them on the coverage, plus claim the fastest. Use microwave backhaul until Fiber arrives and recycle the temporary microwave dishes during rollout.

Crews have been spotted in the Columbus Metro doing site conversion to Network Vision during the last few days.

-
That also says that T-Mobile is entering into a long term agreement with Ericsson. Nothing to do with Sprint.
If there is a merger it could be the first test of power.
-
That's for billing services, not anything related to network buildout and deployment.
Yes, your correct. I read more into it than stated. If it was just you and me I would delete it as it now is a tangent to this thread.
-
Sprint seem to be trying to escape ericsson
-
They are quite conservative financially. They figure they might outlast Sprint just like their last national carrier, so they do not want to be stuck with debt. Don't forget even Verizon does not have more than half of its people using LTE (they still have dumb phones or only Wi-Fi tablets)

The G2 does have issues; it seems to pick and choose when it wants to refresh the PLMN (MCC+MNC). I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to say above; I think perhaps you wrote Signal Detector somewhere you meant to put SignalCheck. I think you are saying that the engineering screens, Signal Detector, and SignalCheck do not show the same information? I am aware of some issues, but thought they were due to problems with the phone's radio software, not SignalCheck.. if you are seeing more accurate results with other apps, that would mean it's me, not the OEM's. Let me know!
-Mike
Let me try again, For the first time SignalCheck Pro and SignalDetector differ on PLMN (MCC+MNC) types reported. This occurs with the new Sprint band 41 from the 8t8r RRHs and Antennas. Signal Check Pro reports two PLMNs: 310120 and 311490, while Signal Detector reports only 310120 100% of the time. I only saw 310120 on engineering screens. While the G2 has issues, in this particular instance I would analyze SignalCheck Pro first. I will try to "send diagnostics" later this week and will let you know if anything changes.
Thanks!!
-
I think we will be waiting a pretty long time before we see that happening any time soon on B41 LTE...
I would not be so certain about that. We are seeing then in small cities, college towns, and at Clear sites and Sprint sites in a metropolitan area. Premier members should read from this point down: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4825-columbus-market-mapspreadsheet-premier-edition/page-19&do=findComment&comment=321397
My interest in the G3 lies in the extra storage (down to less than 2GB again for the third time) and the extra RAM over my current G2. I had 48GB of storage in my Photon 4g.

I was successfully hunting Sprint 8t8r band 41 TD-LTE and I observed a dichotomy between Signal Check Pro results, which I was using to reset the signal and observation, and Signal Detector, which I was using for signal tracking. Previously these two products have always matched in terms of the MCC and MNC. With Signal Detector, the MCC of 310 and the MNC of 120 stayed 100% constant, unlike my Band 25 and Clearwire Band 41 according to Signal Detector. Later I looked at Signal Checker Pro log and it had its usual issues of seeing both 310 120 and 311 490 (note I do have a G2 using ZVA which may have issues in properly reporting MCC and MNC).
I am wondering if perhaps Signal Check Pro is not blanking its MCC and MNC variables when the reset button is pushed.
Further details here if needed: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4825-columbus-market-mapspreadsheet-premier-edition/page-19&do=findComment&comment=321397

There are also using some of the same arguments about improved service for all that we have used here for Sprint Triband.
-
more details here:
There are situations were Wi-Fi is not practical, such as many rural areas that lack broadband and other areas where Wi-Fi is banned or tightly controlled. T-mobile obviously wants to protect its investment in new customers. This is also a tacit admission that many of their coverage holes will continue.

The EARFCN of Sprint Band 41 in Columbus is 40521, same as the Clear (Clearwire) Band 41 EARFCN, source: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4825-columbus-market-mapspreadsheet-premier-edition/page-19&do=findComment&comment=321397

I think the costs of this last issue is what has focused Son on a merger and the rural carriers at this time.No word yet on their roaming plan beyond July 2016. Who knows how long 600 MHz equipment will take to have enough equipment ramped up in production and crews to deploy the 600 MHz spectrum. I think at this point, Sprint needs to focus on deploying 800 MHz CDMA and LTE like gangbusters between now and July 2016 to close the gap as close as possible.

the 8t8r equipment starts in the nv cabinet and uses the hybrid cables. It will eventually replace the clear /b41 LTE network and allow for reduced site expenses. Are there any opex changes then? Because wasn't part of Network Vision supposed to reduce opex by simplifying network structures?
