Take a look @ the FAQ posted above, there are a ton of phones that support 800 SMR (for voice/1x, not LTE) Also, there is alot of talk around the forum mentioning sprints decision to wait for 2600Mhz spectrum to be at there disposal to deploy triband phones and not just dual..hopefully sooner than laterso that means everyone has to buy new phones?

I dont know where you mostly use your data services, but if its mostly in queens I could understand your skepticism about the 48%. But in the Bronx and north of 59 street, south of 34th street of Manhattan and a good part of BK..48% doesn't seem that unreasonable. One thing is certain, they are still testing, so not all of those sites are on all the time.question, on the deployment running list, NYC is 48% complete, but I honestly do not think 48% of the towers went live with LTE just yet. does it mean their panels and backhaul has been upgraded?

Everyday it seems to be a bit more consistent..its not perfect but its less spotty as time goes on..Queens and SI seem to be the only boroughs that don't have as much NV work as the other boroughs. How has wrk been in the Bronx. There hasn't been much talk about them for a while.

NYC always got something to say! hahaI think another reason it went off topic was to bring the thread back to life. Their was nothing active until that conversation, so in a sense we got back going on topic.
-
My Bad Mod, I should have known that would happen...just seems like we all know each other on this thread...just feels right...LOLPeople get back on topic with the NYC stuff. We already have numerous threads that deal with the HTC One, 800mhz LTE etc, so please post those comments in the appropriate thread..
Thanks

NOPE! unfortunately that might have to wait till next gen, GS4 is on the same boatIt will not support 800mhz LTE on sprint! For those who are wondering

how awesome is this...right @ home! haha! http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-342-updated-all-for-htc-one-htc-one-for-all/

Also for those that are concerned about the differences between the ATT and Sprint versions are only the radios. Everything else is almost identical. On a side note, this is also the first sprint next gen phone with GSM sim support for world roaming which is awesome for those that want to travel with there phones!I just reviewed a device I never even used!

YUP!And now u know why the marketers make big money! Lol

Check out this great review here! http://www.theverge.com/2013/4/8/4196446/htc-one-att-lte-reviewI would probably get the one over the s4 as well. How's the camera?

Pixel density is slightly higher on the HTC, (i believe its the highest in the world as of today) but its a very negligible amount.I thought in the s4 Samsung was making a huge deal about the pixel density

Unfortunately most people barely realize HTC exist, that was pretty evident this morning when i went to grab the phone, it was a ghost town..and according to the person that took care of me they are expecting a huge showing for the GS4.Yeah the galaxy is overrated just like the iPhone was. Htc is trying to get back into the leader. All in all, it's a good thing. More competition, better phones from apple and Samsung.
I could assure u, that if Samsung and htc were not around, the iPhone 5 would not have LTE and a bigger screen

Without getting into too much detail about the screen, Samsung is still using super Amoled which uses PenTile. vs SuperLCD 3 on the HTCThe build quality I agree with u. Aren't the s4 and one both 1080p?

Yes that is a big minus, but i am really banking on signal strength finally stabilizing and improving battery life on a day to day basisThe one thing I hate about using the iPhone is the non removable battery. I always carry a portable charger with me

Build quality, better screen and the speakers on this thing are crazy! The only thing i am weary about is the battery life since i had an extended 4000mAH battery on GS332gb is enough for most people. Why did u choose the one over the s4?
-
So far so good awesome phone...screen is great and build quality is amazing. As long as you can live with 32gb, and no removable battery your golden..Might have to get that phone!
-
Also, some of you guys might be interested to know, picked up the new HTC one...and so far from a signal strength standpoint, its @ least as good as my GS3 if not better!

Just drove up on the west side highway...held excellent LTE signal from 57st to GW bridge....averaging 4mb sec-25mb sec traveling @ 55MPH...Stoked!

I dont have the info page but i do have my speed test results from yesterday. Also, its pretty well documented that profile updates do little more than toggling airplane mode.Interesting, maybe I need to run a profile update because I can't connect over 4G here anymore.

Was just in that area yesterday...Was averaging about 18-25mb down and 6-13 up..Downloaded 100mb video podcast in about 2minutes. Signal Strength hovered between -60 to -70dBm.I work at 59th and Lex, and for the past few weeks, noticed a 4G signal with pretty decent speeds. This past week however, it looks like they deactivated it. My phone connects to the LTE spectrum, but cannot send or receive data. I have to manually force it down to 3G to get a usable signal.
Over in Park Slope, LTE is starting to pop up there, I noticed it mainly along 7th ave and Union street.

If you zoom all the way in on sensorly's map it does show up off delancy. Also noticed some LTE on weehawken, wondering if thats coming from the Jersey side or NYC side..Lower east side manhattan by east broadway stop has 5 bars of LTE. Doesn't show anything on sensorly at all even close to the area. Must of been turned on today because I was there 2 days ago and it was 3G. So people in the LES, you guys now have 4G

Man, Midtown west, and lower Manhattan has been really quiet! I wonder what the hold up is...
-
+1, been with them since Jan 2002, Customer service is pretty amazing too, plus future looks super promising...Been with Sprint since March 2001 and never felt the need to switch. Price has been fine and service was always good where I've needed it. I've been through the good and bad service times and now it looks like great times is on the way.

Your phones I/O can barely keep up with that kind of speed, plus nothing you do on your phone will take advantage of anything near that besides bragging rights on speed test. Id rather have a much more balanced network with stability, coverage and good speeds..http://www.phonearen...s-month_id40980
t-mobile launching LTE. they have seen about 60mbps download max and 30mbps upload. they said 100 million people are able to use LTE by mid 2013....
are they deploying 10x10? sprint LTE seems to be on the lower hand. Sprint really has to step it up. the deployment seems to be very very slow.
