  1. No, off. On makes sense if you don't mind a contract and want a cheaper device. OFF contact makes no sense since Google is selling an identical device for less.
  2. I can't think of a single reason anybody would buy this phone from Sprint off contract...
  3. Cancelled my google order. For only $150 I'm willing to renew my contract.
  4. Purchased from Google... I was in such a rush I didn't check the return policy - anyone know it off-hand? Edit: Return policyIf for any reason you do not wish to keep your device, you have up to 15 days from the date the device is delivered to you to initiate a return in accordance with the Return Instructions described below.
  5. We can hope... I'm hoping when the embargo breaks (in 25 minutes?) there are already reviews of the device so we can make informed purchasing decisions. Some major sites (I'm looking at you, the Verge) have remained quiet - too quiet, so I'm still thinking they've been under an NDA for a while...
  6. I called the local Sprint corporate store yesterday and a manager didn't even know the Nexus 5 was on the horizon.
  7. Haha, I'm thinking announcement imminently - sale late tonight/tomorrow.
  8. "Update 2: We are now hearing that the Nexus 5 embargo lifts <http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/31/the-nexus-5-and-kitkat-launch-today-october-31st/> at 11 AM Pacific, but that the Nexus 5 announcement will arrive today, and could go on sale within the next 24 hours." http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/10/30/nexus-5-announcement-tipped-arrive-8/#tGmHjxHZklg0oz4U.99
  9. My guess is this is where the announcement will first happen: http://officialandroid.blogspot.com/
  10. Doh, fixed. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/10/30/nexus-5-announcement-tipped-arrive-8/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Gottabemobile+%28GottaBeMobile%29
  11. Well, according to GottaBeMobile (one of the least trustworthy rumor sites on the Web), it's being announced in 7 minutes...
  12. Video didn't show it, but he said there would be a Spark icon when in range - go to 1:03.
  13. Eh, a one-off posting on the KitKat (candy) Germany Facebook page (specifically talking about the KitKat OS, not the Nexus)...? That's a bit of a reach... I mean, I'll have my fingers crossed, but the signs are pointing to 11/1.
  14. I saw the Google Facebook post, but it didn't strike me as a hint at anything other than seasonal advertising. People are reading way too far into everything. What was the hinting they did way back regarding October?
  15. Wait, the rumors are saying it's coming out Friday, 11/1. Why are people talking about buying it tomorrow? I hope it winds up being tomorrow too, but I'm expecting Friday...
  16. It would be seriously awesome if you put this on the homepage or something. At the very least, a wall article explaining the relationship between NV and Spark would do a ton to keep these questions from being asked over and over.
  17. So bizarre: http://www.pressherald.com/news/Barges_bear_high-tech_clues_about_mystery_structures_.html
  18. Ok, can we talk about this section of their chart? Granted they cheat a little on the chart by switching from "average speed" to "peak speed," but can we really expect speeds of 50-60 Mbps from current NV complete sites under light to average load? Edit: guess not considering the above post from Robert.
  19. I'm gonna go ahead and stop posting leaks at this point, because this is just ridiculous. I'll just leave you with a shot of the battery since I don't think we've seen that yet even though it's apparently already leaked (even the leaks are getting redundant now)... there are a few more here.
  20. Some new leaks and pictures: And we all know the value of benchmarks, but this is promising nonetheless...
