  1. Well it is a big step forward today here in Alamogordo. They are doing the fiber integration at the tower. No information on LTE. I sure hope this helps our 3G speeds here.

Well, I wonder if something did not go right? Pings have not changed and data speeds are no better then before. I thought that once you went to fiber things would improve. The tech said fiber would be online that night.

Side note: When they do B41 they will be adding new antennas?

  2. A friend of mine on AT&T ordered a 128 GB 6 Plus on 10/4. His estimated ship date was 11/18-11/28. AT&T just updated his order page to an estimated delivery of 12/12-12/19. That's over 2 months of waiting for the device. Safe to say he is very aggravated.

I ordered mine on 9/30 and got the first extension email at 5 weeks. People who ordered before me are reporting the they are receiving a second shipping delay email. That will push it to 12 weeks or longer wait. I have been calling Apple every day and as yet they do not have the 6+ in the 128G space gray model.

  3. Ugh, I was hoping they would be able to clear the backlog after a few weeks. I only ordered on 10/21 and haven't heard a peep. The chart from Sprint has changed some though with the Plus 64GB in silver and gold shipping immediately.

Not sure why the delay. I did read that Apple was having problems with the flash memory. If that is the reason then it sure looked like a another 4 week wait at the least.

  4. well I am into my fifth week for my order. some people in the sprint forums are  saying they have gotten an email saying they have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks. Sure hope that is BS. There are a lot of upset people posting on the sprint forums. I think most of them are blaming sprint for apples problems.

  5. FYI on another forum some Sprint customers who ordered on 9-19 are getting emails that Sprint has not received expected shipments and they hope to get your 6+ out in 1-4 more weeks. I don't know if this means I could be waiting 10 weeks now or still just 6, I ordered 10-13

I am getting into my fourth week since I ordered my 128/g space gray. I have not gotten that email. i hope it is not a sign of things to come.

  6. Yeah. I was happy with that. Apple offered $180 which wasn't too bad and Gazelle only wanted to give me $95! The only thing is the quote from Sprint says it's only good for 45 days and who knows when the phone will get here.

That's a little depressing. I was hoping the dates would move forward. I'm amazed the supply is still this constrained.

No what is more depressing is that on the sprint forums some people have posted their order to complain about the wait. I found a couple that were ordered 13 days before mine and they are not showing and shipping yet.

I am hoping it is because sprint is not updating that information and not that they still haven't shipping yet.

will just have to wait and see.

  7. Just ordered a 6 Plus tonight after a few weeks of debating whether I should stay with Sprint. I really hope a tri band device makes a difference. Ship date is 4 to 6 weeks. I'm hoping it won't take that long. They offered $240 for my iPhone 5 which I thought was pretty good.

I ordered the 128/g space gray three weeks ago. Still no shipping notification yet. I was hoping the 4-6 weeks time frame was long quoted. Not looking that way now.

  8. If its a corp store all the manager had to do was go into our back office system and change the phones status from "activated" to "new". Having to resell devices to fix problems is pretty common. Seems like you unfortunately have an incompetent local store or if it was a third party they truthfully could not change its status.

Plus its very wasteful seeing how back ordered the device is.

Ugh, I was afraid of that. I know for sure it was a corporate store, I guess the manager (assistant) either did not know or did not want to do that. I had customer service on the phone also. So it was just a bad day all around. On top of that my truck quit running and I had to have it towed to a shop. That Apple gods must have not liked their phone being returned.

  9. Why in the world couldn't they return the phone and sell it back to you through Easy Pay? That seems ludicrous to me.

That is what I am saying. It has something to do with once a phone is returned they can not sell it as new. It has to be sent it for refurbish stock.

  10. As of sept 17th sprint will not make new framily IDs which means you can only join existing framilys by referral. Sorry to say but its too late. Meeting at a store with everyone will get you no where. Framily is all but dead at this point and everyday i see current people on framily switch to the new data share or unlimited plans.

I am down to nine on my plan. A couple of weeks ago I tried to add my father in law and they would not let him join my plan.

  11. Were you getting 2.3Mbps from 3G or LTE?  If it was LTE, it's remotely possible that they have converted the WiMax site to run Sprint B41 LTE.  I have confirmed in my notes that it is a Huawei site, capable of dual mode with LTE.  However, the site is T1 backhaul for Clearwire and would not provide very good throughput speeds, unless they upgraded the backhaul.

If you were connected to 3G, it could be a good sign that the backhaul has finally been upgraded for Sprint in Alamogordo and maybe you will get LTE soon.  If you get a chance to run over to the WiMax site and check to see if you get a strong LTE signal there, take a screen shot and a speed test when you have your strongest signal.

It was 3G. I do not think it is on fiber back-haul yet since the upload speed was so low. It was durning peek time though.
