I'm the network administrator at my company and have stopped the deployment of new BlackBerry devices. For us it was a matter of the device not advancing quickly enough and most importantly BES becoming less and less stable. We now purchase iPhone's and use Exchange ActiveSync for all new or replacement devices.

"I don't understand why people think Sprint holds any cards in this deal. " You're right, but Apple is also conscious of the fact that a poor experience on any of the networks reflects poorly on Apple as well. For example, Apple took a lot of heat in regards to AT&T's 3G network problems.

Welcome! I telecommute to my job in Rancho Cucamonga from SW Michigan, so it's nice to see some people from the area! I'm not sure what the current schedule looks like, but I'll keep an eye open as I like to know for there as well.

I thought that only occurred when there was a handoff between sites during a call? Have you contacted Sprint? There may be an outage in your area. Also check to see if there is any upcoming "band-aid" fixes, I know when they did some in my area it caused some issues but they didn't last long: http://network.sprint.com/

Happy to see the two sites covering my hometown (Sturgis) are on the list of the 'initial' towers! Sprint had 3G here in 2007 before Verizon (then Alltel) and AT&T only activated 3G here two WEEKS ago.
