  1. Nope, I was just their visiting over Thanksgiving holiday. I'm back in Chicago and my hit or miss LTE speeds. Getting better daily though. I was getting some LTE up in Hanover, PA when I was visiting my Dad, though I didn't run any speed tests.
  2. Sorry, was typing fast on my phone. 13708 kbps up 6562 kbps down 53 ms ping Server Fredrick, MD Think I did the test from the Olive Garden in Westminster at 1 pm on 11/19.
  3. Yah, I would lose it at my sisters house at the corner of 97 and 140, she is in the back side of the hill from town. Soon as I popped over the hill got 4g. Like 15k down 5k up. Rest of town coverage seemed pretty good. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I am back home visiting family in Westminster and actually got LTE some here. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  5. LTE is still spreading in the far southwest suburbs. I starting getting LTE in the house and actually got some LTE down by Wilmington (on the NE side along Rt 53) for about 2 miles or so. Overall performance has been much improved. I have even done some Google Chat video chat with my wife while she's on the Metra and I'm at home on wifi. Still a few spots where she drops back to 3G but we have had success a few times. (Our 18 month old loves it)
  6. I've had this happen to me several times in the Chicago market. Or only getting 7k kbps down and up. Its getting better constantly here though. Big improvement over the last couple of months. And I actually used the SVD over LTE this weekend!
  7. Bleh, consoles. Real gamers game on PC's. Probably going to pick up BO2 at least to play the single player and zombies. I love MP, but the horrible console ports of the MP game for MW2 and 3 sucked ass. First Modern Warfare rocked and BO was pretty good once I got use to it.
  8. LTE is picking up more and more now in the New Lenox / far east Joliet area. Was getting some weird speeds (7000 kbps down, 60 up the other day) but today in the same area got 22000 kbps down 11000 kbps on Laraway right by the Racetrack. 4G and 3G still switch back and forth in New Lenox some, but its improving! Oh, and loving the Note 2.
  9. My wife's new SG3 sniffed some LTE last night, going west on Laraway between Frankfort and New Lenox. Only had it for about a minute. Tried running a speed test. Got about 4500 kbps down, then it wouldn't run the upload, then dropped 4g back to 3g. But...that is still the first time we have seen LTE so far down by us.
  10. I was worried about the lack of SVDO, but living in the chicago area they are building out our LTE and it can do SVLTE. So, I think I will probably get this. I got my wife a Galaxy S3 this weekend (and took her S2 as an upgrade to my S1 while I wait) and its pretty sweet. Very very light. But I want the massive screen and capabilities of the Note 2.
  11. http://newsroom.sprint.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=2409 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is the first tablet to combine the benefits of Sprint 3G and 4G LTE with a vivid 10.1-inch touchscreen display, Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. LG Optimus G features an advanced 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, making it a dream device for photo lovers who are ready to leave their point-and-shoot at home and just carry their smartphone. LG Mach makes 4G LTE accessible as an inexpensive yet sleek smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard and Sprint ID. Sprint Plug-in-Connect Tri-Mode USB brings Sprint 3G/4G/4G LTE directly to a laptop through a USB connection.
  12. So I stopped by Best Buy today to see how a note fits in my hand. I can reach the whole screen except an area the size of a nickel in the top right corner (using my left hand) without having to stretch it. More worried about my pocket. Might have to go back to a holster. Can't wait. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
  13. As somebody with big hands I can't wait! My little Galaxy S1 with the 4 in screen, I get mis-types all the time due to the small keys on the touch keys. Its much easier to type on the wife's S2 with the bigger screen. This lovely 5.5 inch screen with Swiftkey will be awesome! Glad I held off on the S3 until the fall crop of phones came out.

Some of the people at BGR make me cry. I think I'm going to be going with the Note 2. I've been holding out and holding out...almost went with Evo LTE, then the S3...but I think the Note 2 is going to win for me.
