  1. Right, but if you had a SIM card with LTE data, you could just swap it in and it would work. You could go in and tell them you needed a SIM for an ipad and take that back and it would work. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  2. All indications are that this is true for Sprint right now, but it doesn't have to be that way. With Verizon LTE devices, you can just swap the SIM between them.

  6. I got the shipping notification email! Still says it will leave the warehouse by November 8th, but I have a tracking number. I r xcite. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  7. So how does one go about using their existing micro SIM? Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  8. You can add any SIP service to any Android phone since Gingerbread, unless it's been stripped out by the carrier Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  9. HTC One sold by Sprint doesn't have a Sprint logo... Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

  11. That's what I thought. What about the talk about USIMs (UICC?) and CSIMs? I believe it was mentioned that they're all UICC now and will run either the USIM "app" or the CSIM "app" and present that to the phone, but it's definitely not my area of expertise (unless it runs Check Point in the background).
  12. I've got one of those in my S4. Someone earlier in the thread said it wouldn't work. The Sprint rep on the phone said it wouldn't fit. I don't think that means what she thinks it means.
  13. That's the same thing I got.
  14. I wonder if it'll also include that screen tech that's on the G2 that causes it to use less power for the static portions of the screen.
  15. Failure. I followed Robert's directions and they told me that Google has told them that the SIM kit will be shipped with the phone, and she wanted me to wait until I receive the phone to be sure because she doesn't want to charge me $15 for a SIM. Somebody somewhere doesn't know what they're talking about. I'm also skeptical about international services providing a SIM for use within the US. Dunno.
  16. I believe it's actually supported directly in Android and just requires carrier support and authentication.
  17. Mine says "Leaves warehouse by November 8, 2013." >.<
  18. You have a very good point. Which is the option that lets you do your warranty claims in the store? That's a better option for me than sending it back to Google and waiting.
  19. Ah, that's right. I was thinking of the "dark times" (when I was on Verizon) and you couldn't get the protection plan on phones not purchased from them directly.
  20. I wonder if you can get TEP when you purchase from the Play Store. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  21. Knock on can be enabled by a kernel. The active notifications can be enabled by a ROM, but if the screen is not AMOLED I would avoid it due to battery usage. Also, I believe I read that it does listen for voice search while the screen is off. I'm not sure about that, but it does listen all the time when the screen is on. 22. I was messing around in my Sprint account and came across this. Anyone know what phones are supported? I've never even heard of this outside of T-Mobile.
  23. Has anyone been able to pull the new modem out of the update to be flashed independently?
