  1. Wait until winter hits, you think she misses the remote starter now....
  2. I doubt that. The competing system actually does direct withdrawals from your bank account. No qr codes. What you'll eliminate is a system like in California where you pay extra for transactions with a credit card.
  3. I should note that Target and Walmart are also part of this competing standards group. It has nothing to do with data, it has everything to do with trying to avoid paying merchant fees to the credit card companies.
  4. This is a nexus 5 issue, it has a long rescan time.
  5. Makes sense, too bad that means no LTE for these areas or even passable 3G (Iowa city coverage is really not good at all). Even the quad cities isn't getting band 41.
  6. How much nationwide wcs spectrum does the death Star have?
  7. That is a huge phone. Probably too huge even for phablet lovers.
  8. That is a huge phone. Probably a little too much, even for phablet lovers.
  9. I guess I should note T-Mobile supposedly yanked their sales too and they will almost assuredly support the next Nexus, so we're probably reading to much into this.
  10. So what if I bought a nexus 5 through Sprint already? Will they not give be any support if something goes wrong with it?
  11. That seems awfully fast to eol a phone.
  12. This is what came to mind when I saw the use of the 805 processor. So it easily could be not compatible with Sprint's network. Especially since Verizon normally doesn't carry Nexus products.
  13. Yeah, I forgot about device cost in those figures. Verizon has a 50$/5GB plan that you can only get in retail stores. So it's a little better, but you're probably right about it bring more expensive once you add device costs in.
  14. With an 805 processor will the nexus successor even be available on Sprint?
  15. This explains why they haven't turned on any LTE on the GMOs here in eastern iowa. I thought that would be a good alternative until a full replacement occurs, but if you say it is more of a mess then maybe it's OK they aren't lighting LTE on the GMOs here.
  16. I really don't care for their data pricing. Heck, it's more expensive than Verizon hotspots even.
  17. Don't forget the other odd part, sprint appears to have dropped the nexus 5 from their lineup too. So you can actually get neither the Moto X or an nexus 5 right now.
  18. A few possibilities, this might be a sell then lease deal like the other carriers do, or this is a sell off of the towers that they still have in markets like Chicago and St Louis where they only sold the spectrum, but not the infrastructure. I don't know how useful either of those scenarios would be to Sprint.
  19. Real world will be longer than Engadget says because they put it through a full stress test. Plus that's even good results before android L comes out.
  20. Normally apple delays the off contract sales to avoid creating a scalpers market. I'm sure eventually they'll offer the phones off contract.
  21. Now granted, I'd just be happy with any LTE here in eastern Iowa. And band 26 would be amazing. But band 41 is a distant dream here.
  22. Does this mean mid-level markets like Omaha, Lincoln, and Des Moines, which are seeing 8t8r deployments, are going to get shelved? What about sites that have been deployed already in those markets?
  23. Can we just pair the Moto 360 with the apple ui?
