Stuff like that here would get the company fined Daily. Only during short periods of installations or repairs do you see anything like that. ATT keeps most of our cables buried here, in town its aerial/underground. Thank goodness cable co's arent as messy in my opinion.Don't worry, We're a goldmine of r/cablefail worthy POTS neglect here.
That's comparatively good. Verizon only uses the finest quality black trash bags on things they see fit to cover.

I cant focus on anything other than that mess of a phone line system!

Exactly they cat really undercut, and make money. They could make good point of the lease program for $5 and it being cheaper overall. Sprint should bring some more value to its unlimited plan, match Tmobiles pricing, even allow framily plan people off, im sure a few may leave for a cheaper plan. Not sure if you know, but T-mobile Unlimited LTE lines come with 5GB free tethering per line also.
-
So maybe this will kick sprint into making the unlimited data $50 w/easy pay or BYOD. I dont see Sprint being able to undercut this, besides giving out xGB of tethering per line for free.

Not me lol. My charging port cover broke off.Has anyone else tried their S5 underwater?

Im just basing it inly info , and a best estimate given thats about what I see, in very similar terrain, and EVDO signal. He did say he gets a strong 3G signal, so LTE shouldn't be that much of a stretch. I know there are sites where the coverage footprint is only 1 mile, I also know there are sites with a 10 mile footprint. Like I said, it all depends on how the site is set up. But to say unequivocally that LTE from that site will be minimal is incorrect.
-
It could also mean the opposite, he may not get band 25 due to power levels and down tilt. I have line of site of an att site and have -95dbm LTE , within a mile. There are variables we do not have info on. Im going on based on similar conditions know that I experience. That's not necessarily true. Band 25 can be usable up to 10 miles away depending on the setup of the site. 3.5 miles is nothing. Especially with line of sight. Just depends on if the site is setup for coverage in that area.

Still have at least one invite.

Any band 25 LTE from that site would be minimal. Bamd 26, given it gets deployed on that site should be near fringe. Thanks for the replies. Sorry for posting about a topic that's already been talked about.
I'm hoping Sprint comes out with a new BlackBerry that way I could pick up B26.
According to Sprint's coverage maps, I'm in a roaming area.. But that's not true. If I stand on the porch or outside, I can get 5/6 bars on my Moto X. eHRPD is weaker- SignalCheck rates my connection around -96 dBm. I'll double check those numbers when I get home tonight.

Wonder why sprint wouldnt buy these liscenses?

There were quite a few who joined sprint at target. Galaxy s5 fpr a penny, lg g3 a penny, and the iphone 6 was with a giftcard on contracts, as well as Target just started doing easy pay.We ended up getting everyone on our family plan the iPhone 6 lease deal from best buy. They said that sprint was the busiest carrier by far this weekend, so that is a good sign for sure.

Personally ive seen the opposite. Band 26 on the s5 is the best of all current phones ive seen.It does.

My issue has been me force restarting dueto text stop working, and calls wont ever actually start. The restart immediately fixes it. Also more dropped calls than ever, or failed calls. Never has been this buggy...plus the update made my phone think its custom instead of official

I got my parents the 39" vizio for 219. Got 10% off employee, and an additional 10% thanks to target wishlist coupon. Got it after tax for 194. Original 350.I nabbed a 64GB iPad Air 2 from Target, paid with our Red Card (5% discount), and nabbed a $140 target gift card with the transaction, which we turned around and used to order a Nest thermostat for next to nothing.

tmobiles lte gets 60 megs a second here and their hspa+ gets in the low 20s
And im stuck in an area with Tmobile stuck on with low teens as a max for LTE speeds ive seen, and hspa+ that well isnt very good at all. The market share here for Tmobile is very low due to them not expanding sites to meet demand. As well as the other 3 out performing them throughout East texas, kinda sad when the word Tmobile comes up at target or elsewhere and everyone cringes, amd laughs
-
You do need to take jn account there was recently a huge surge in amount of bamd 41 devices thanks to the iphone launch. Many with an Iphone 4 or 4s now have 6 pr 6+, and it wven inpacted places like East texas. The only solution here is to add band 41, or if possible a second pcs carrier. But band 41 is a higher priority.

On one page it showed the fcc label, with an meid open. Tried entering it in as a sprint device, just for kicks, and said it wasnt in the system. Could be a LG G flex remake. Remember the s3 got a remake recently, so wouldnt be suprised.

I want speed test to show what I get at that inatant, not a "theoretical" speed. That is the point of a speedtest, it is to show your speed at a moment in time. If you want theoretical speeds have the providers tell it on the websites. A speed test should have the same priority as a video, as a picture, as a torrent, and any other data stream. Keep speed test to show a speed at an instance in time.Let's turn this discussion somewhat around. Let's say you're on a congested sector. Would you rather your speedtest show you what you could be getting if the sector was not congested or what you're actually getting? Since they have DPI they could momentarily elevate your priority to trump everybody else's so that your speed test results do not screw up T-Mobile's average. Would you be OK with that?
-
Its speed test results are what you actually are getting. If you are on Tmobile and are throttled, your speed test arent showing that on Tmobile. Hence is misleading.Verizon isnt throttling its unlimited users but the unlimited users have a lower priority on the network
-
I thought the point of apeed teat were to see your speeds you are receiving. If you are throttled you arent receiving high speed LTE. If i do a speed test and see 30mbps id expect something with mbps, not Kbps. In a way it is falsely presenting numbers.
-
Wait why is there no hate agaist this coming soon? Oh wait it didnt mention sprint lol anyway, how did Nokia and such get much higher speeds on their test?
-
Yep just like those who tried to get their nexus 4s on tmobile LTE, it was patched in an update due to it not bieng certified for use in that band. That could be what sprint could request is all models coming in have the baseband locked down with the WCDMA bands disabled, so if you take your phone you can text, and call, but not use high speed data.Could a carrier (such as T-Mobile, who gladly accepts other carrier devices), be willing to install new software for their techs to activate the disabled bands in the future? If the device is already compatible, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to unlock already locked devices.
IIRC, there's methods that users on XDA have used to re-active disabled bands on I think Samsung devices.

Personally band 26 on fringe areas went down. Used to get it in a few locations i dont get it now. Band 25 seems about the same.Sorry, got a bit exited there and didn't read.
I'd still like a few more people to chime in on reception. Each situation is different.

Im DFW I had b41, even on sites colocated with b25/b26. But It did have the escfb issues which some people didnt like. Even inflated readings it still performed very well.
