Got Calling Plus working again on both the Unlocked GS8+ & Unlocked GS9+.
Now Sprint just needs to keep their promise & release their Google Play Visual Voicemail app.

Following that guide from XDA, were you able to activate Calling Plus on your Unlocked Galaxy S9+? It's not working on mine - both the GS8+ & GS9+.Unlock model only has the top 3 on that list. Interesting.
The guide is here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/help/sprint-calling-plus-update-unlocked-s8-t3730053
And it says:
Guys, I found a way to make VoLTE calling work on my unlocked s8 plus.
1. In Nova launcher add widget -> Activities
2. Add LTE Test -> click VoLTE Test UI-> turn on first 2 setting.
3. Add Enhanced LTE Services and select this option.
4. Restart and enjoy.
=======
For those with a Sprint model GS8 or GS9 with working Calling Plus, would you mind posting a screenshot of that VoLTE Test UI screen?

There is a way to apparently add calling plus to the unlocked S8.1. In Nova launcher add widget -> Activities
2. Add LTE Test -> click VoLTE Test UI-> turn on first 2 setting.
3. Add Enhanced LTE Services and select this option.
4. Restart and enjoy.LTE Test is under com.test.LTEfunctionality and Enhanced LTE Services is under Mobile on my device.

Is this workaround still working for you?
I noticed just yesterday that Calling Plus stopped working on my Unlocked GS8+ with a Sprint SIM (same SIM card).
Only things that changed on the GS8+ is that, one, I performed a factory reset and two, I transferred out my phone number into a different phone (Galaxy S9+) and transferred in another Sprint number (my mom's).
I set the settings multiple times, rebooted, but no go.
I tried the workaround on my Unlocked Galaxy S9+ with a Sprint SIM card & it's the same thing.
I did notice that Sprint was or is doing some tower configuration around my area (1x800mhz popped up briefly in Signal Check Pro).

Yup, no update on my 955U1. I was hoping for the official update to drop before giving the phone to my mom.I haven't gotten the update. I'm on beta too. Having an unlocked model taking forever to get the update.

waiting on s10
Me too, and I haven't even picked up my GS9+ yet.
Hoping the S10 will have a more drastic design change such as under-glass FPS and ~99% screen-to-body ratio.

I stopped by a corporate Sprint store & showed the associate your table & he sold me this card. You'll need to ask for the BYOD card probably. Only like 2 popular mid range devices uses it so it's a pretty rare card to have around.
Just make sure they get the card with such specified info.
The BYOD SIM Kit number on the package, which is on the bar code, shows a matching number: 760492036429. It also says BYODSKVer3.0
UPC on the card says: 854798005170
Part #: SIMOLW506TQ
On the SIM card & underneath the ICCID, it says: SOI0002a.
The tech said it'll work with the S9/S9+. Is this true, you think?

Thx. Was he at least right about that SIM card working with the Unlocked Note 8? If so, Sprint is changing up SIM cards again so soon just a few months after the release of the Note 8?
Is the Sprint store the only place right now to buy that SIM card you mentioned on Reddit? Couldn't find it on Amazon or Sprint.

I went to Best Buy today to pick up a SIM card for my upcoming Unlocked Galaxy S9+. I went in looking for SIM card part # SIMOLW416Q Galaxy S8, but was sold SIM part #: SIMGLW416Q. The Best Buy Mobile rep said that's the one they sell to customers with an Unlocked Note 8.
So was I given the correct SIM card?

Same sentiment here.Lol, yep. Now showing the 12th. For the first time though I'm not really hyped about upgrading so not quite feeling the excitement like previous devices. So it will get here when it gets here.

Oh yea, it had horrible GPS for me. And the crazy battery drain. [emoji38] But it was my first smartphone & I was so thrilled with everything I could do, especially after Root.I was so geeked for the S2 (Epic 4G Touch was the Sprint name) and that phone turned out to be such junk. Terrible radio, then the hard bricking. Loved the S4T & Note 2.

I'm just so-so about it. The phones I was most excited about were the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S4, and Nexus 5, in that order from highest to lowest. With smartphones becoming like the PC landscape in terms of true performance jumps & design improvements, it's gotten iterative.I'm really excited for this phone, don't know why but I am. A better s8 I guess, and the new modem and gigabit speeds even though i doubt I'll ever see them.I'm only getting the S9+ b/c mom wants a change from her GS7 Edge, the GS7E has a $300 trade-in offer, and I'm gonna give her my mint GS8+. Plus, after all my Best Buy gift cards & certificates, my final balance is like -$200.
I would've been more excited if the GS9 offered underscreen FPS, UFS expansion cards, and the centimeter GPS chip (still not 100% confirmed).
Hoping the next Galaxy S (if the S moniker is kept) will be more impressive.

No this has been policy for a couple years at least. You used to be able to get them for free from International Chat, but they closed that loophole no later than October 2017.

I see. Last year in July, the SIM card was still free. Oh well.

Did Sprint change their policy in regards to shipping SIM cards to customers? Last year, Sprint sent me a GS8+-compatible SIM card for free.
When I called them just now to order another one for my upcoming Unlocked GS9+ phone, they quoted me $0.00 for the SIM card and $10 for shipping. Something kind of new?
-
Preordered the Unlocked GS9+ from Best Buy. Giving my GS8+ to my mother & trading in the GS7 Edge for $300.

Yup, I've been using Calling Plus on my 955U1 GS8+ for a while on Oreo Beta. Works very well.

Who is that Craig S person? Sprint engineer?Bad news, Calling Plus is not coming to the S7/edge. Hand-off to LTE from WiFi works as of now.

If it's like it was for the GS7 Edge last year, the international unlocked models will get Oreo in January & the US carriers will release in Feb.

What screen protectors do you guys use/recommend for the S8 (not plus)? Was looking at many on Amazon, and many reviews stating screen protectors don't cover entire screen, or won't stick to edges causing lifting in cases.
I've had good luck with both the Otium and Ottao TGSP's on my GS8+.
I don't have any adhesive or sticking issues because after applying the TGSP, I always turn off the phone and heat up the glue with a heat gun on low setting.

What a pleasant surprise it came to us so much earlier this time. My DL size is different from the Korean and UK models at 508.03 MB (QL8)(955U1). What was the DL size for the Sprint version?

If past is any indication, then it will either be next Monday or Tuesday. Looking forward to improved battery life.

For those back on the non-oreo stable build, since the update to QJH firmware my wife's S8 and my folks' S8 actives (thankfully not my S8+) have been doing the cycling screen on thing when on the wireless charger. Meaning.....phone on wireless charger charges up to 100%, screen pops on. That's normal once. Then as the phone discharges and charges that little bit, the screen would never turn back on all night (nor would the charger light up). Now though, their phones will light up about every 10-30 seconds all night long. It seemed to do this with my wife's S8 while plugged in even.
Some folks have been complaining about fast charging not working post update, but wasn't sure if anyone was also seeing this issue. It's probably the most annoying bug. The beta was doing it on my phone and was one of the reasons I rolled back to stable. Then the update came and their phones started doing it.
Anyone else?
Never experienced that bug on the Oreo beta. And I only use wireless charging (Seneo fast charger).

So, uh, how's that beta3 treating folks still?? I don't see how to re-enroll in the beta after rolling back. I would think they would let folks re-enroll though so they could try out features that had pushed them away, ie, more testers for actual problems. I guess not though.
It's been the most stable and smoothest one so far. Besides quicker battery drain, which was expected, I'm having no issues. Beta 3 finally fixed the microSD issue which was bugging me through Beta 1 and Beta 2.

Mine is opposite. Large amount of issues and I can see why samsung pulled beta 2

You're using the locked Sprint model GS8, right?
Unlike for Beta 1, though, I performed a Factory Reset after updating to Beta 2. Restored my data using Samsung Cloud and Helium.
