  1. I wish Sprint was more transparent & forthcoming with the backorder status. On the Verizon site, their 64GB Edge Gold is stated to ship out on 5/1/15. Sent from my SPH-L720
  2. I called & talked to the warehouse order support team and he said the 64GB Gold Platinum has not arrived at the warehouse from Samsung, with no emails or comments about arrival date. ???? Sent from my SPH-L720
  3. Neither does mine. But then it's Edge Gold. ???? Sent from my SPH-L720
  4. Do you have the link to the ups page where I van input my Sprint account number? Sent from my SPH-L720
  5. Anyone got their tracking numbers yet? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. All of my smartphone batteries began to deteriorate around the 15-months mark - Galaxy S2, Galaxy S4, and Nexus 5 - and I've had to purchase new batteries. Thankfully, the N5 replacement was very simple to perform. Sent from my SPH-L720
  7. Bad news for those who ordered the Edge in Gold. A Sprint chat rep confirmed that both S6 and S6 Edge preorders are being shipped on Monday, except for the Edge Gold. ???? Sprint has not received stock yet from Samsung. Shibal~!! Sent from my SPH-L720
  8. Sprint tweeted that the S6 will start shipping out on Monday. Hope the S6 Edge is included as well. Sent from my SPH-L720
  9. This one from Amazon. 16-piece Precision Screwdriver Set Repair Tool Kit for iPad, iPhone, & Other Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E3CHLLC/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_rjuhvb1JW61GY The backcover came off real easy. The longest part was carefully loosening & popping out the old battery. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. After 18 months of ownership, I ended up swapping in a new battery today. My battery life was just horrible, especially after Lollipop even with fresh clean install of 5.1. I unplug at 7am & I need it on for at least 16 hours. These past couple months, I could not reach even 2 hrs of SOT. On days I reached close to 2 hrs SOT, phone would shut off around the 14 hrs mark. I followed a YouTube guide & it was straightforward and easy, with an appropriate tool kit, of course. My love for the N5 has been rejuvenated~! ???? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. The Note Edge does have more functionality but it looks awkward & even ugly, in my personal opinion. My friend just bought one but after just one day, the novelty has already worn off on him & he doesn't like the asymmetric look that much. To me, symmetry is important & regardless of function, I really like the S6 Edge b/c of its uniqueness and I think the device looks sexy, LOL~ Can't wait for my gold Edge~! Sent from my SPH-L720
  12. I'll be ordering a clear case with a raised lip for the front & back so I can safely put the phone face-down. Without a case, I wouldn't dare do it. ???? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. Yup, and I didn't want to wait. I chose premium overnight shipping for $12.50 from Sprint. Hoping to get it really early like I did back with the Sprint Galaxy S4.
  14. Because Best Buy didn't have the 64GB Gold Platinum for pre-order. Only the smaller size & different color. I still ordered the charger for free because I had gift certificates and gift cards.
  15. According to the invoice, it was $449 for the phone, $12 shipping, and $0.73 tax. They will send me $50 rebate credit card after few billing cycles. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Woot~! Ordered this morning the Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB Gold Platinum from Sprint. With my upgrade, final price was $462. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. After using the T-Mobile $30 SIM plan since Nov 2013, I switched to the Straight Talk $45 plan with unlimited talk & text with 3GB of full-speed 4G LTE. And what a difference it has been. In areas where my Sprint Galaxy S4 got only 3G or no data, the T-Mobile was no better 90% of the time. With the AT&T in there, now my Nexus 5 is truly a great backup when Sprint simply can't deliver. Sent from my SPH-L720
  18. Hello~! I read an article about T-Mobile rolling out 20x20 MHz (20+20 MHz) LTE to select cities and I realized I have no idea what 20+20 MHz LTE means. I performed a Google search but I can't find any articles that explain the differences between 5x5, 10x10, 20x20, etc. Can someone explain what this terminology means or link me to an article that explains all this stuff? Thanks. -David
  19. No battery issues with any Google services here on 2 Note 3's. But then, I rooted both Note 3's and they're Rooted with battery-saving apps like Greenify and Deep Sleep Battery Saver. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. Loving mine N5 even more, especially after the 4.4.2 update. The camera quality really improved and the System volume is finally useable. And with Xposed + the modules, I got almost the same experience as my S4 (except not using Hololauncher on the N5). And it's quite nice having both Sprint & T-Mobile at the same time b/c sometimes when I get shetty Sprint 3G, I'm able to fall back on fast T-Mobile 4G LTE and vice versa.
  21. My favorite thing about the N5 is its speed. Everything is just so smooth, fast, and super responsive. And just a heads up for those who are rooted. Gravity Box for Xposed got an update tonight for Kitkat compatibility and it opened up many customization options. Xblast also works well with the N5, although the author still needs to update for Kitkat. My N5 is currently protected by the gold Spigen slim armor and it's pretty nice. Well-protected in the corners, easier to grip, and the color is eye-catching. Cant say nice things about Spigen's screen protectors though. I got their Ultra Crystal or whatever screen protector & it was utter crap. Difficult to install and air bubbles are a nightmare. And Spigen's microfiber cloth and squeegee actually ended up scratching the screen during the installation - unbelievable. Luckily, I was able to free return & get a refund through Amazon Prime. It was my first try with a Spigen screen protector and I'll never use them again. I immediately went & ordered my longtime favorite, the Zagg HD screen protector. I have really good experiences with Zagg and their screen protectors are currently protecting all our family's smartphones. As for what I don't like too much about the N5, it's just one thing at the moment - the low system volume levels (when typing, turning off the screen, pressing & making screen selections). Even with the Viper4Android mod, the system volume didn't change, only the ringer, music, and notification sound channels. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. That's what I assumed so when I ordered mine on the 1st, I chose 2-day. Got it really quick (32gb white) on the 5th, although it originally said leaving warehouse on the 8th.
  23. That's very true that signal reception plays a big part on battery life. A few months ago when Sprint was having a tower problem at my work area, my idle and useage battery life was really bad on my GS4. After unplugging the phone at 7am and coming home around 5:30pm, I would have 50% or less of my battery left. Once Sprint fixed the tower issue, I come home to 75% left. As for the N5, I've been really impressed by its idle battery endurance. I unplug it at the same time as my GS4 and take the phone with me to work. When I come home, it only goes down to 96% or 95% (the N5 is on a T-Mobile SIM card).
