  1. Are on OE2 & using GT 3.18? When I press IOT, nothing happens for me. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  2. I have Galaxy Tools 3.18 but don't know how to access the UE settings. What steps do I need to take? Are you able to access the GCF setting to set phone to WCDMA/UMTS? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  3. I wish Sprint would stop dicking around & implement a proper domestic unlock process. If AT&T devices weren't bootloader locked, I would switch right away. And I wish Samsung would follow Apple & sell an unlocked model for the USA with bands for all 4 carriers. Are you gonna contact Sprint again for unlocking? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  4. Which Sprint department ended up doing the domestic unlock for you? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  5. International unlock was done with Galaxy Tools. I think our S6E only supports T-Mobile's band 4 AWS + HSPA. So when you put back Sprint's SIM card, you got the Invalid SIM message again? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  6. Looking forward to hearing about your results. Based on my own research & personal experiences, I have concluded that Sprint has the worst domestic unlocking policy & procedure among the Tier 1 carriers. The best one is AT&T, then Verizon, then T-Mobile, and Sprint in last place. AT&T is easy because they're GSM & use Persos to simply punch in an unlock code - received from AT&T themselves or through an unlocking website. Verizon is 2nd b/c all their LTE phones are already domestic unlocked out of the box thx to their agreement with the FCC. I popped in my AT&T SIM from my Nexus 5 into my friend's Verizon Note Edge & everything just worked - voice, text, MMS, data (up to HSPA+) after I input the correct APN. Once T-Mobile gives you the unlock code, you put the code into their unlocking app. Now Sprint, they will just give you the MSL number and that's it. There is no Persos popup menu. I was able to perform the international UICC unlock with the MSL, however. Through modem locking, you cant open the Service Menu to do the correct GSM/WCDMA provisioning. Level 2 Sprint tech support blames lack of training for its inability to provide steps on doing domestic unlock with the MSL code they give you. They also incorrectly blamed Samsung for not having a popup menu when it's Sprint who bought the phones from Samsung then modified it this way themselves. I have a ticket open with the Samsung Voice Support team who will get back to me next week. I'll report what I find out. The headache I got from Sprint's technical incompetency is why I'm liking unlocked phones more & more these days. I recently bought an unlocked Note 4 (pink N910C) for my wifey's first Mother's Day present and it's just so easy & frustration-free not having to deal with carrier crap. 7. Has anyone who paid full price for their Galaxy S6 or S6E managed to get Sprint to Domestic Unlock their phones? Per the new law, one is entitled to the unlocking if the device was paid in full. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  8. With my usage habits, I'm getting 5 hrs SOT on the S6E. With a new battery inside, I get about 4 & 1/2hrs SOT with my Nexus 5. On the Note 4, about 7 hrs. Phone is not crippled down. I just turn off WiFi & data when not being used and location is set to Battery Saving. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  9. What's your SOT? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  10. My real world experience has been very positive. I'm getting LTE in locations I didn't get before with my old S4 (non-triband). And in areas I did get LTE before, I'm getting stronger signals & faster speeds. And luckily, I haven't been affected with the dropped calls & missed calls issues. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I thought for Verizon & Sprint Galaxy S6's, it IS Qualcomm radio? B/c of CDMA, no? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  12. That's what I use too. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  13. Mine works fine. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  14. The official Sprint community forum is filled with people complaining about voice connectivity issues with the S6 and S6E. How many people here are affected by this Sprint issue? Looking over other carriers' forums, they don't seem to have any voice issues. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  15. Samsung & many reviewers say Gorilla Glass 4 is tough but I didn't want to take any chances since I only want to use ultra thin cases on my S6E. So I purchased & installed the IQShield front & back screen protectors (wet kind). The install was super easy, no bubbles, smooth to the touch, and the shine and glitter of the phone shows through. The only unknown is how scratch-resistant IQShield will be longterm. It'll hopefully hold up well until a proper tempered glass protector is made. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  16. On my S4, this app shows both icons for data and cell services. But on my S6E, only one icon shows up at a time. LTE info when not on a call, and cell service icon only when on the phone. Is this b/c the phone only has one radio that handles both voice and data? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  17. I'm mostly connecting to Band 41 at locations where I used to connect to Band 25 with my old single-band Galaxy S4. This was my first Speedtest run in Orange. I'm impressed with the results. This is faster than anything I got on my old S4 and even on my Nexus 5 on the AT&T network. These are my battery results. 18 hrs & 37 mins off the charger with 4 hrs 8 mins of SOT. App usage battery taken up by Android System and Kernel. Surprisingly, they don't take up as much batter as they do on my N5 with the 5.1 update. My usual idle battery drain rate with light usage (1.9%/hour). With my normal usage pattern during my working weekday. 13 hrs & 9 mins off the charger with 2 hrs & 20 mins SOT -> 52% left. I'm very happy with the batter life of my S6E so far. My phone is not Rooted yet. Once 5.1 rolls out and I add Root + my usual battery-saving Root apps, I'm expecting to achieve 6-7 hours of SOT.
  18. I have over 170 apps installed & no data issues here. In fact, my data is much better than what I got from my old S4. B41 is nice & fast Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  19. Oh man, so many issues for lots of S6 owners. Making Sprint look really bad. Hope they come up with a fix asap. As for me, no more issues so far after that "voice refresh update." Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  20. No dropped calls here. However, I did initially have an issue where people were calling me & my phone didn't ring & no missed calls showed up. A quick call to Sprint & after a "voice refresh push" followed by a reboot, the problem was solved & I haven't experienced it again. The tech said what I experienced was normal for when lots of people activate their new phones at similar times after a new launch of a flagship. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. Got my 64GB Gold Edge today & I'm super happy with it. No scratches, no cell service or auto-rotation issues, and no abnormal battery issues. Really missing Root right though. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  22. Yea, 5.1+ cant come soon enough. It made a big difference on my N5. On its tiny 2300mah battery, I get 4 to 5 hrs SOT. My S6E is out for delivery right now. Will post about my battery life experience later. Sent from my SPH-L720
  23. Are you referring to SIM lock or bootloader? B/c bootloader comes unlocked. Sent from my SPH-L720
  24. You can. You just pay for the restocking fee plus for the amount of plan you partially used. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
