  1. Have you guys seen the updates on Network.sprint.com? It shows that a new tower was built but I it does not show where it was placed. I did notice a slight improvement on speeds lately but not much to brag about. Have you guys seen any difference down the East side??
  2. Jenks, I answered your PM question on Sprint users.. Sorry for the delay.. Hope all is well. and Yes, Service has taken a toll; from voice, text and data.. its been over 2 weeks that I've been experiencing dropped calls, failed text and substandard data. lately even my 3G icon on my phone disappears from the top and my phone stays on 1x.. Sad to say but the influx of Snow birds and the seasonal workers are maxing out the towers.
  3. Those are the types of panels we have here in Yuma Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  4. The Tucson Yuma market seems to have been upgraded with that software patch, though Data is still horrible Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  5. I think that's the 1 Ryan is talking about Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  6. Have you seen the new towers that are going up around town? I don't know if it was an anomaly but I was playing with CDMA field test and I was connecting to 1 of the brand new towers down by 22nd and Avenue C. The panels on that new tower look nothing like to sprint panels they use, so I'm thinking it was only a fluke; but I tried it many times and many times CDMA field test pinpoint it that same tower Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  7. Hopefully Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  8. Good to hear. I hope they keep moving forward. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  9. Is anyone else in AZ getting it? Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  10. Well I took the painful task of calling Tech Support. There is definitively something going on here in Yuma. The tech said that a few of the towers were under performing and she could not explain why. This was this morning while the load is off from the towers; i'm guessing one of two things, either fiber optic lines were messed up by some carriers, (which I would have heard from) or there are network upgrades happening. My guess will be on the second one.
  11. It would make sense for Sprint to add another tower between the 8E tower and the Foothills boulevard one. Yuma East has exploded in population and I think those towers are always running maxed out. It will only get worst this winter. adding a tower there would be optimal. I know here in town the distance between each tower is about 1.5 to 2 miles in a strait light. The distance between the 8E tower out there and the Foothills Blvd is 5 miles on a straight line. fingers crossed that Sprint is adding more towers. I'm just seeing a few new towers going up in town with new panels too on some old towers. I don't know who is working on them and don't know what carrier, I haven't taken the time to find out too. I guess we will wait and find out..
  12. Work is definitively being done, hence the EHrpd change on network. From what I have learned here its only a software patch. That could be why we are getting such slow speeds everywhere in Yuma. I know today we were getting dropped calls constantly, then Ehrpd showed up on my speed test. I'm sure Robert might chime in here and give a little more info on what's going on if he has any updates.
  13. I Just noticed today, Ehrpd just showed up for our area. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  14. I don't think Sprint is adding any more towers to our area, but Robert might have more info on that. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  15. Data speeds in Yuma overall are taking a quick dump. I'm keeping EVDO on but data speeds are in the 50'skbps.. sux
  16. yeah, I've been getting some crappy speeds lately around town. Lots of 1x and roaming.
  17. That sux. I just noticed on Network.Sprint.com that one of the towers that was slated for some upgrades has been taken off from the website. I wonder what happened??? Things are just going to get worst. Snowbirds are here and still coming so the network is going to suffer more for all up on the foothills.
  18. Ryan: confirmed; no signal coming out of telegraph tower. I climbed up today and had no signal all the way up there where I usually had great service (full bars).. I wonder why..
  19. something in that building blocking it.
  20. Now, I do know that Sprint is actively working on band-aid fixes. You can see an area go down in coverage for about 1 week, then when it lights up data seems to improve. Sprint towers need to be taken down in order for them to work on upgrades much like a car; you can't change the oil while its running. Hopefully signal will get better for you. I know that out in the boonies where there's hardly any population sprint don't care too much to cover those areas.
  21. Ryan, sprint does have a tower up Telegraph. Unfortunately I don't have the answer to your other question about loosing signal. Sorry man Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  22. darn, most of our pipelines here are supported by centurylink. I wonder if that is going to affect us down the valley.
  23. yes I know, they have started to show up already, with that comes a bog down of the network since our population doubles...
  24. That's just the East side, it's full of trailer parks to accommodate the almost 100k people that flock here in the winter Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  25. FanOfSkynyrd; hang in there, we are starting to s see some improvements in the area, I've been keeping track and constantly monitor speeds around town. Just remember that just like a vehicle, you can't change the oil and give it maintenance while its running. Same applies to cell towers, so if you are experiencing some severe outages or severe internet speeds, it might be that the towers are being maintained or upgraded. I'm starting to see some progress at network.sprint.com. You can also keep track and trace progress there. We all feel the frustration. Edit: areas that have significantly improved (take significantly with grain of salt; that just means it is way better than what it was) are the areas of Yuma Palms, MCAS, Airport, Somerton AZ, Ave B North East of 20th street, Down Town Yuma by the court house. I get download speeds from around 2 or 300kbps up to 1200 kbps depending on the time of day.
