  1. Not much down In Yuma, just waiting.. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  2. Congrats on your new job Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  3. Its not the speed, its the fact that it wont connect at all when on eHRPD. Are you able to use the 3G on eHRPD or does it kick you down to EvDo or 1x? Might be a sign of testing Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  4. Oh I never had this problem. But my 3G is being reaaaally slow & I'd like LTE soon. Sprints getting worse & worse. All day long today and throughout the city, data was slow, so it's not just your phone Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  5. What type of phone you have?? Only LTE phones can get EHRPD Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  6. so you can see the difference, about double the towers. Also if you look at the completed maps, Tucson has had more 3G acceptance than Yuma.
  7. So far so good. Im sure the network switching between 1x and 3g has something to do with them working on the sites. All i know is that when this network is done, its gonna be great. I can already tell!!! We all hope. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  8. Well compare the size of tucson with yuma. Yuma only has about 18 or so towers for the entire market. Also the 3 towers is to just cover the city of Yuma not Somerton, San Luis, and county which they are part of the Tucson/Yuma market. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  9. Small update, sprint only has 3 more towers within the city of Yuma to upgrade equipment on, they are currently working on Ave B and 20 street. Equipment arrived yesterday morning and today the techs were there starting on their work. Qwest along side laying more orange pipe. Its looking good here for complete city coverage. 10. I got mine ready and a full tank of gas.. LOL Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  11. I think he meant he's more optimistic because this site has already been 3G accepted Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  12. That tower just got accepted for 3g a couple of days ago, so I'll take that 50% too. If it does fire up, I can see alot of us lurking around the school like child predators. Robert, did you ever see the pic I uploaded from that very tower we are talking about. It had what appeared to be an RRU attached to the legacy panel. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  13. Thanx for the great info Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  14. So I was on the phone with Advanced Tech support because of no service all day, the Tech told me that they have a new system to view updates on their site and they are getting real time updates from technicians on open tickets. Obviously I put that to the test on a site I know is currently being worked on at Ave A and 32nd street. He told me that this site still has an open ticket to finish up LTE upgrades and will be off line until the 20th. His next comment was, LTE for that tower is slated to be turned on, on that date. Hhhhmmmmm.!!.! Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  15. someone put it to me this way and it makes sense... You can't change the oil on a running car; same for network, sometimes it has to come off line to "change the oil" apply upgrades. I don't get discouraged when I see slow data around town because my experience has been that it picks right back up. I know crews are working in town all over the place so when I see an outage, it actually gets me excited.
  16. Maybe my post was taken out of context, I was actually excited because of the progress being done here. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  17. Wow, Yuma data speeds are down today. One tower completely down on Ave A & 32nd street, they must have about 5 trucks lined up there wokring on that site. Thats the site that had the RRU type of device on the legacy panel. Hope its a sign of good things to come soon.. Depearatly excited...
  18. Speaking of low coverage, seems like sprint has had a bad rep of having low to no service pockets within the city. Building penetration is another one even though I work 1/2 mile away from a tower, most sprint phones will switch to 1x indoors. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  19. The tower north of the Base on pacific Ave is being upgraded, it could be that they took it off line. There is also another tower East of the main gate on 3E but I don't know what the status is. I had similar occurrence yesterday closer to the Pacific site, I had full bars but no data. 20. to answer some of the questions from the 3G Performance in Yuma Thread. I've been in touch with my friends at the store. They are being told 75% of Yuma should be covered with LTE by the end of June. Seeing how many towers are being upgraded and being worked on, that might not bee too far off. Just today I saw Qwest working at the ave B and 20th street site, They might be working on the Backhaul hopefully.
  21. Here's a picture that shows the new NV panels and the legacy with the rru's http://db.tt/LNISvD1K Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  22. This is what I was talking about. http://db.tt/dRp5whJ4 http://db.tt/SPnBAsZO Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  23. One side of the site has the NV panel with an obvious massive RRU attached to the back and next to it, the legacy panel has some smaller ones. I will try and get some close ups. This is new to me. I apologize for the site ID, Tapatalk don't tell me when I'm on the Sponsor section.
  24. This same site () has what appears to e smaller RRU's on the legacy panels. I've seen many pictures here on this site but never an RRU on Legacy antennas. Does anyone know what they are?? I can't really take a closer picture because like I said before; that tower is located in a secured area fenced in. But if you look at the picture, you can kind of see it on the back on the second from the left panel. can anyone Chime in. I'll try and walk my way in there and snap a better pic if I can. thanx in advance..
