But does team d3rp have any plans on getting us a L ROM?
-
I have haven't had the problem with G2 but I have used a needle to clean a earpiece on a phone before. I have also taken apart my son's phone a couple of times (G2) to replace the screen. There is a rubber boot over the mic to help protect from wind noise. This boot could have dirt in it. The mic. is replaceable also and have seen it on amazon for $11.00. Just look it up on youtube on how to take it apart, if you need to. Its not hard to change out the mic., or clean out where the boot is.

Reading the L3 thread, I'm not sure if I want it yet

Are these going to be deployed in regions just like the tower equipment?

The RootMetrics 2nd Half 2014 US Mobile Network Performance Review
Fuber replied to Fraydog's topic in General Topics
I need little help to understand something here. I test with Rootmetrics with my tri-band phone. When I go to see the results, it show black (or bad/no signal), because its a signal band sitting on LTE. Would this not effect the results with Rootmetrics, making it look like Sprint coverage is bad, when in fact its good? Or is the testing done differently? -
I would still use this on the screen. Do a youtuber search of tempered glass also. That stuff looks awsome. Have it on all our phone here at the house with the feel of real glass. and no scratches so far. http://www.techarmor.com/

Sprint offering unlimited minutes to customers on older plans
Fuber replied to nahum365's topic in General Topics
I wonder if you where to get the latest phone, you would be agreeing to getting rid of you subsidize part in your plan. -
UPDATE: My phone does show neighboring towers, but only when it is connect to LTE. It does not show a distant LTE tower while on 3G.

You all are comparing paying for a car (phone) as to compared to paying for service. Two different things. I choose and pick my car(phone) by my needs and what I can afford. If you give me money off or a rebate for a certain car (phone) great!. But I should not be taxed more for roads, if I'm driving a different style of car (phone) going the same places on the same roads. Why should I be penalized for access to the road just because I a Honda civic instead a Ford Focus?

So, let's talk about subsidized vs non-subsidized devices.

I feel the same way as Ascertion. Matter of fact I got my ED1500 plan after they no longer offered it, by taking over the terms of service that someone else did not need it anymore. This is my spin on things. We now have more choices. Plans that work for different people. Yes, prices are higher now if you went with a 2 year contract today, than if you had a ED1500 plan from a year or 2 ago. But that is life, and prices rise. I also hear people complain that they have been a customer for a long time and Sprint should do something for you. And the way I see it, they are. By letting me keep my old plan without raising the price or getting rid of the subsidy phones like Verizon. So thank you Sprint for the choices. Thanks for honoring the old plan and prices. And keep up the work of building a better network. Your time to shine will be soon. -
I see you points, but to explain myself better. Yes they may come for the better pricing and promotions. But I haven't see people complain and then leave Sprint because there plan price was risen or they had to much data. It was always because of the service. I'm not complaining about Sprint. Matter of fact I'm rooting for them, and I know their network will get nothing but better. I just hope NV is complete enough to retain these new costumers and meet there expectations.

My son took out his screen on his G2 today. No insurance. Going to try and fix myself. All parts should be in this weekend.

Sprint to enforce roaming data limits, send SMS notifications
Fuber replied to Rocket87's topic in General Topics
For me and the family its not complex. They leave the roaming off unless they are in a situation that they need it in. If they have to use it, it would be minimum. If I left the roaming on it would text me on and off during the day as I go in and out of roaming areas, if it would to warn me each time I was in a roaming area. -
But will it have Wifi calling? That is my question.
-
That sounds good, but when investors get involved and managers that are all business. They want the focus on productivity more than they do a quality. So when it comes to things like that I always blame upper management. When you focus more on money than quality, then I feel that will be the end of a business. Have to have a good balance of both IMO.

Sprint to join Rural Operators Roaming Hub (CCA and RRPP thread)
Fuber replied to marioc21's topic in General Topics
I have notice that my G2 would show 3G when actually it was 1X per Signal Check. So you may have been on 1X only.
