  1. Yup, especially when it might end up being more expensive then just deploying band 41 that you already own have equipment and devices for it.
  2. While the added capacity would have been nice, it's not really worth all the time and money it would take to get it up and running.
  3. Thanks for the writeup, Robert! I know you're still probably busy with moving so I really appreciate taking the time to throughly explain this.
  4. Why don't you just download the free app and give it a try? If you don't like it you can delete the app.
  5. I think AJ edited it for you. Don't want to join the group, AJ?
  6. Just realized that this thread is titled "S4GRU BM group". Come join a group where we talk about poop!
  7. For those who don't know, BBM is now cross platform and, yes, completely free. Google Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bbm iTunes link: https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/bbm/id690046600?mt=8

    LG G2 Users Thread!

Do you think then that they might try and get rid of the legacy equipment quicker in markets where eCSFB is incompatible?
  9. 1) I was talking about NV sites because, as you alluded to, Clearwire sites have way to many variables to take into consideration to use a blanket statement. 2) I knew that copper was planned to be used for some sites as a stop gap but I thought you said somewhere that they didn't meet Sprint's requirements and thus that project got scrapped. Like you said however, I didn't know that some sites actually used copper as upgraded backhaul.
  10. I thought you said that when they bought backhaul they made sure it was scalable so that if they needed more they could easily get it?
  11. Current: 1990 (yes, 90) GMC Sierra 1500. Dream: I'm not really picky, as long as it's fast, fun and doesn't break every other week.
  12. NOT YOU TOO! I'm disappointed that you don't use Wh for batteries.
  13. I think any phone with 1X Advanced should support it, but I don't know how you'd find which ones besides that. Also, I think you go into 1X engineering screen while on a call to verify that you're using EVRC-NW.
  14. I'll tell you guys what AJ has an attitude about: Hot Pockets. This thread is at least the third time he's linked that guy making fun of them.
  15. Our buddy Brian says that you need 1X Advanced to get a higher quality codec. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5726/sprint-hd-voice-on-htc-evo-4g-lte-is-evrcnw-1x-advanced
  16. As Tim said if you compare WiMAX's top speeds with LTE's it's actaully pretty similar. They were forced into choosing WiMAX and when the rest of the world choose LTE, that put a nail in Sprint/Clearwire's WiMAX network.
  17. Yeah, me too. They need to kept up with population shifts or they're going to have a bad time.
  18. Gotcha. Hopefully they get things figured out, the network vendor market would get a little more uncompetitive if they disappeared.
  19. No, it really isn't. Especially when you have people like that bandwithhog guy. While I absolutely feel bad for those people out in the middle of nowhere (I can say that because I used to live there too) who have no better option, It just doesn't work well. Also, one thing I'm confused on is how you had coverage everywhere you went. Clearwire's coverage wasn't exactly idealistic in most cases.
  20. Why are they doing poorly? It's not like they haven't gotten any contracts. Or is it the phone division the one that's tanking?
