  1. Agreed.. I don't think I have ever seen a Truck or van marked with Sprint. Would be cool to see one day.

I am sure they have them though.... One thing with Sprint and this includes stores they just dont have the small "road side" stores like the big two have (they have stand alone stores not just in malls for example).  I know its costly but its proven the more your "seen" the better chance the business will succeeded.

  2. I am in the same boat. I know 4 people including myself that have Sprint. One of them just upgraded his phone so he wont see any reason to switch his plan. The other 2 will probably switch carriers when they try to upgrade and find out they can't. I have been trying to explain to them that they haven't been "paying a 4G fee for the 4g they don't have" for over 2 years and have not been able to make any progress.

Nearest Sprint store is over 75 miles away, so that is out.

Not sure what I am going to do at this point.

That's a little far for a Sprint store around the Rochester, NY area we have one actual Sprint owned store and 4 OR more authorized dealers, so it's not bad I live 18mins from two of them.

  3. I will be adding more devices to this table in the coming hours, so the data will fill in dynamically. As you can see just from the LG G Flex alone, if you use Easy Pay and aggressively add people to your Framily, it's quite the deal.

If I have more then just myself it would be nice, but its just me, I don't have many friends/know or hardly anyone would would join me in doing Framily.

  4. Sprint buying T-mobile would be a mess in my opinion, different technologies, different frequencies.  It would of been a benefit if Sprint bought Cricket, Metro PCS, US Cellular and n-telos.... Although Cricket not that I think about it probably not much there, they are on in very select markets.  In the future US Cellular and n-telos I would think would be a good chance they could buy them out; with out FCC and the other major carriers giving fuss about it.   I guess I just dont see where why T-mobile bought Metro and AT&T bought Cricket (different technologies).... Sometimes makes me wonder what they have in mind....

  5. They have not moved on to other markets. They have finished all the sites that have had their backhaul upgraded. All the remaining sites will go live one by one as the backhaul vendor finishes up and the backhaul is live and ready. Then Samsung will send an integration tech out to the site and fire up the LTE. One or two at a time.

Thank you for the clarification, because I had thought Samsumg markets went on in clusters (more then one at a time). That may of been NV 3G I am thinking... lol

  6. Does kinda seem that they announced the launch then moved on to other markets. I'm having abandonment issues now. Hasn't been a new tower going LTE in nearly a full month now. It's still way better than it was in December, in any case.

I am sure there is some reason behind it.... Also we still have just one no NV complete that is a BUF switch (that still boggles my mind why it is..... Henrietta (Harris building).... They must be keeping there lease agreement there or else it probably would of been deactivated by now I would think.

  7. Essentially, financing your phone is no different than actually being locked into a contract - because you're still forced to pay for the rest of your device if you cancelled service with Sprint.

I'd say if it happens it'll likely happen just before the release of GS5/M8.

That one carrier (T) did that they supposedly "riped up contracts" (not literally but everyone knows what I mean by that) and market it as "no more contracts" when its essentially the same dang thing! Just trying to lure people in.

Not to get too far off subject but... I do like being in a contract it helps keep my credit open I am still young (24 here). Even though I got good credit from previous things still, its helps!   :D

  8. Pretty stale news in the past week or two in Rochester, nothing new lately, we had a large amount LTE acceptances mid/late January to early February... There are still places where I go and no LTE and falls back to 3G, kinda wish now that they officially announced Rochester, NY that they would finish up what towers are going to be LTE for a while towers, (finish up this market!) :)

If you still want a mint condition LG Optimus G, I have one that I used for a week for RF testing last summer.  You can have it for a song.

And just FYI everyone, we do not want to host numerous phone for sale posts.  But as staff invests a lot of time and money for S4GRU research purposes, we get a little leeway in that regard.

  10. Well I love my nexus 5, so far it seems to be the best rf performer. Plus its just all around a great phone. My sole complaint would be that the spark update hasn't arrived yet :P.

Thats what I have been seeing lately on here too. I am not due for an upgrade yet, so looking around...

  11. Hi everyone, I am looking to see what anyone's opinion is on the better LTE performers NOW are...? I would like to find a better performing LTE phone. I have the EVO now, I did do the update just released that you have to download and it improved in SLIGHTLY and yes the 4G signal bars do reflect the actual signal now instead of the old version. I do still have my EVO 3D but thats a backup (you never know if you need a standby).   I did try out the Lg Optimus G around June last year (2013) and I liked it, and If I recall reading around on here the RF performance was one of the better ones.  Recently I did check to see if Sprint offered it and come to find out (at least on Sprint.com its no longer there)  and checked with a couple of the stores around me and discontinued... Seems odd to me.  Its not like its an old model, I still consider it semi new (ish) heck most of the store still carry the Motorola Photon Q!  Is there something I missed?  Did that phone have a lot of issues or was it because the LG G2 took its place and was just overly popular?

Anyways other then LG Optimus G, what other ones are good?  I only stick with Android  :)
