  2. I saw the local BBQ place on college park rd., with a re supply truck backed up to it this morning. Should I post that in the "in progress thread" with pics? Haha Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I like it! Looks sleek! The new Siri voices and functions should be cool, as I use her alot, especially when traveling. It's easier than opening the browser and searching for places that way. I also like the control center. I will say it reminds me of my droid 3 in a way.....but that's cool! Best of both worlds! Thumbs up from me so far!

  5. Yea it's got to be the roof then. We have no windows in the manufacturing areas of the plant. With Sprints 1900 it's hit or miss out there. If what I've read here so far is the norm, and the 1900 is sneaking thru the roof in alot spots I'm hoping the 800 can punch thru a little better. Our company Nextels worked pretty well inside. They worked excellent once the installed the "repeater" on the manufacturing floor. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  6. So I did some experimenting here....I just logged my iPad 3 (running iOS 6.1.3) back into iMessage to see what would happen. As soon as I went to send an iMessage to my wife from my i5, my iMessage when screwy again. I'm rely starting to wonder if being logged into two iOS devices with different software versions, is the culprit here. Logged iPad back out and iMessage "activation" issue went away again... Hmmmmm Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Ahhh I see! Didn't know that. The case my buddy has from life proof is alot slimmer than the otter box I had on my i4s. My otter box was big and bulky. The life proof just looks and feels better to me. From what he said tho they do t come cheap. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  8. Those life proof cases are nice too. My buddy has one. I am gonna grab one for my i5 next time in in the store. They are supposedly waterproof to a certain degree. Have any of you guys had one of them? Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  10. I do have an iMac. It did an update last week. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with it or not. As I never use iMessage on the Mac. I do however use it on the iPad. I did what u recommended and logged out of iMessage and apple altogether and signed back in. On a side note I wasn't blaming evasi0n. I love the jailbreak. I just didn't know what caused the issue(still really don't) and mentioned the jail break because it is an important piece of the puzzle here. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I didn't change anything that I know of. It's weird...because now it has been steady without issue all night last night and so far today. (Scratches head) and I agree, when I'm on wifi iMessage usually works better than SMS and mms. Just the last 3 days have been rough, without a clear reason why. I will keep an eye on it. If It comes back and I figure it out, I will post. Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  12. I've been to the Charlotte market 3 times in the month of may. Sprint LTE was marvelous there. Almost everywhere I went I was getting over 20 down and sub 50ms pings almost everywhere! Charlotte is an LTE wonderland! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  13. I generally don't have an issue at all on 3G here using it. It's just been the past couple of days. It's been "waiting on activation" whatever that means lol. iMessage uses such small amounts of data. Even in slow service areas It usually works well for me Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  15. Say wuhhhhhh! I'm on my way! Headed to Charleston International now. Lol were having homemade Italian sausage pizza! Had southern cooked chicken bog last night, with smoked sausage! Man....all the food talk is killing me! Haha Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Browns BBQ. Original restaurant in Kingstree South Carolina in Williamsburg county is worth the hour and 45 minute drive. A&M Browns(same family) in Moncks Corner SC, North of Charleston on Highway 52. Is also the best! SC = best BBQ on Mother Earth! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  17. What's up guys, the past couple of days I have been having problems with iMessage on my i5. Running software version 6.1.2, with jailbreak. All of my messages were going thru as text instead of iMessages. I went to messaging settings and it said that iMessage was "waiting on activation". I turned iMessage on and off 3 times and it finally starts working again. I wonder if this is jailbreak related or if something funky just started happening with iMessage itself. I haven't had this problem before, and it came out of nowhere on mine and my wife's i5. I don't think it is signal related, because it is doing it on wifi as well. All I know is it is aggrivating!! 18. On the serious side, yes, while the LTE 1900 and LTE 800 carriers will generally be the same 5 MHz FDD bandwidth, the LTE 800 carrier will probably provide moderately faster data speeds because of at least two factors: greater signal strength and lighter loading -- the latter due to fewer compatible devices initially. AJ That's fair enough. How about inside? Will the 800 cut through these concrete walls better than 1900? Or is that just to situation based? I'm assuming it depends on alot of different factors. Also From a speed stand point, is 800 less fragile (LTE wise) over a distance? Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  19. Is this the Dr. Ruth forum? AJ You win on that one lol As soon as I hit the post button I saw that and was like....oh crap! But seriously.... My motto on life... Give me Pandora indoors or give me death. Lol Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  20. I wonder if the iPhone 5s (or i6) will support 800 LTE. I assume we will soon find out. If so I will go ahead and grab it in The fall and hope that when our LTE goes live here later in the year that 800 lights up as well. I guess my real question is, will the 800 LTE give me better speeds or just better building penetration. To be honest penetration is all I really care about. Give me 3 meg. Down and in building coverage and I'm satisfied! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  23. That is true to a certain extent, but let us weigh the many variables: VZW and AT&T each have about 100 million subs to Sprint's 50 million subs. VZW currently has a single 10 MHz FDD LTE carrier. AT&T, for the most part, does, too. Sprint initially has a single 5 MHz FDD LTE carrier. VZW and AT&T have the advantages of Upper/Lower 700 MHz propagation. Sprint initially is limited to PCS 1900 MHz propagation. VZW and AT&T started constructing their LTE networks before LTE hit the mainstream. Sprint started constructing its LTE network not long before iPhone 5 -- like it or not -- brought LTE truly to the masses. VZW and AT&T do not offer unlimited data for new or subsidized upgrade subs, but Sprint still does. So, here are a few takeaways. VZW and AT&T have larger subscribers bases but they also have greater LTE bandwidth than Sprint does. Thus, that contest is about even. VZW and AT&T, with their below 1 GHz spectrum, tend to have signal strength advantages that can translate into higher data rates. As a counter to that, though, Sprint may have greater site density. Then, because they started their LTE network overlays well before iPhone 5, VZW and AT&T currently may also have lower LTE device penetration percentages than Sprint does. And Sprint invites abusers with its unlimited data policy. As a result, the situation is not clear cut. Sprint may not have the upper hand and could be due for LTE congestion just as VZW and AT&T have experienced over the past year. AJ Excellent info AJ! Thank you for that! I am finally learning what all those numbers and acronyms in your post really mean. Regardless of the reasons and the truth you posted above....I still felt warm and fuzzy inside when my i5 smoked his razr when we were in Charlotte last month :-D (I hope it wasn't the radio waves making me warm and fuzzy haha). 24. You can get ribs anywhere. It's not everywhere you can get good BBQ (pulled pork). In South Cakalaky, pork is most certainly king, but we also love the chicken, beef, and of course the fixins too. Collards, corn, squash, rice and hash. If anyone is ever passing through or near Columbia, you need to stop in Lil' Pigs BBQ at 4927 Alpine Rd Columbia. It's no frills good BBQ. Stuck on the Poor Man's HTC for now. Hands down, bar none! South Carolina Pulled pork BBQ is king! Can't live without it! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  25. I am willing to bet that all of our "media" providers do it as well. I'm sure that if you were researching some nefarious activities on your iMac at home, that TWC, or Comcast, or whoever is doing this as well. Big brother is big brother. :-/ Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
