  3. Hmmmmm that one was really decent....considering. I would take a 120 ping anyday. They must be working on ur tower...or they have some weird traffic in ur area..I also wonder if they were working on ur tower at work and u were connected to a different NV complete tower. Hard to say.... Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  9. Would u care to share with us wat you found and how to do it? Sent from my HP Touchpad using Tapatalk 2 On the phone dialer: dial *3001#12345#* and hit send (with the stars and all. Phone will enter field test mode. Then press and hold the lock button until the swipe to shut phone down screen pops up. (Do not swipe)!! Then release the luck button and hold the home button. Until field test closes, it will take 10 seconds or so. The signal strength is decibels will then stay in the top left of the screen. To go back to signal bars, just enter field test again and then close it normally with the home button. Daniel j. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Not to hijack the thread. But quickly, I figured out how to display my signal strength without having to install anything from cydia! Yayyyy! *note this is on my i5. Not the iDevices running ios7. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  12. Update: I cannot air drop as I am in beta on my old 4s and my iPad 3. Air drop isn't supported on anything lower than the pad 4 the iPhone 5 and the latest iPod touch. I'm not ready to risk running beta on my i5 to test air drop. I could use mine and the wife's i5s to check it out but I think I will wait for a cpl more betas first. 16. iOS 7 beta 2 (iPad 3) is getting on my nerves today. Went looking into new features and the bugs are popping out. Keep in mind I know it's a Beta and these are minor, but in my mind MUST be fixed. Cons: To list a few: 1.) The lag in the keyboard in most if not all apps. The switch from alpha to the numerical keyboard is really laggy. 2.) In safari the scrolling flickers. When you scroll down the list of S4GRU threads ;-) too fast the page gets chopped up in black flickering bars. 3.) Siri's voice has changed twice now on its own.....to some German accented English. I had to disable then re-enable Siri to get it to revert back. (The United States English option did not fix it) 4.) WiFi......several times the wifi has list connection. I then told it to reconnect but it just sat with the spinning loading star. Required reboot to get it to auto connect. 5.) In the photos app....all ur pics saved from the web to the iPad are grouped in the home collection. Would like it to separate them as their own collection. 6.) The heat issue from beta 1 on the 4s seems to be better, but the battery drain on beta 2 is still intense. 7.) When u redownload apps from the AppStore purchased section, some show as being on ur iPad already but you cannot find the app anywhere. However if you go into the App Store it allows you to "open" it from there. Pros: 1.) I like the flattened out look. The icons are brighter. 2.) Siri seems to be far more accurate in pulling up specific web data. Especially wiki data. (The new voice is smoother, softer) 3.) The collections in the photo app are concise any when searching for pics and vids from specific dates and events.(The one exception being the con listed above). 4.) The "jailbreak like" control center. It is pretty simple and really not that buggy. Controlling things on the fly without having to hunt thru the settings app, is cool. There are plenty of things I do like about the new iOS, but right now I am looking mainly for bugs, so I can report them back and help make 7 more stable. This is in no way an apple bashing post! I love all my iDevices. Just looking to see if anyone is have these same issues. Will post more as I find em. Peace, Daniel J. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  17. That's good news to hear. I can't wait to test it in Charlotte. I'm not sure I've heard a few people saying they heard rumors that LTE would be here in the upstate by July, then others said they were told the end of July and that would be most of SC. Not sure where it originated from. Well I hope they are right. It's SC's turn! Lol Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  18. Btw....where are these rumors originating, and what are the nature of them? I wouldn't be surprised if they turned out to be legit. We should be close by now with all the activity around me. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  19. Mine have been stabilizing as of late as well, where I work still sucks for 3G though but it's not as bad as the 1.5kbps I was getting for a long time, now it's more like 35kbps. I've heard a few rumors of a late July LTE launch here in SC, hope that is true. Might be going to Charlotte here soon, gonna be testing that LTE extensively haha. I was in Charlotte 3times in May, in and around the Track. LTE was awesome there! Seeing as how that one tower in Cola, and the one the other day in hardeeville(3G/4G accepted) It shouldn't be long now. Almost every tower I have seen in person in the Summerville/Charleston area are full build and all looks to be done except back haul.(with the exception of one tower, not sure what the hold up is on that one getting new panels) Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  21. Certain areas around me are stabilizing 3G speed wise. 3 or 4 of the towers I bounce around on in my day to day are stable above 1.0 down. Once the gaps fill in, then it's just and LTE waiting game. Things have gotten extremely better here since I came aboard in Dec. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  22. So are we South Carolinians keeping the market thread going with device talk while we wait on activity to pick up around here? Lol But josh.....I had an LG before as well. My first android was an LG. I waited and waited for FROYO and we never got it. So I see what ur saying. But man I will say the Optimus sure looked nice. I love my i5 and I'm sticking with it. I guess that LG has sentimental draw for me lol. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  23. The Optimus G was the only phone that almost pulled me away from apple! I was hoping the G2 would come to sprint.... :-( I was thinking about moving to LG from apple. :-( Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

  25. It's all good lol I stay where I'm at. When I see the little LTE market up top replace my 3G marker, none of those screens will matter anyway lol. Seeing that 3G/4G accepted site in my marker feels good! Hope it spreads like wildfire from Hardeeville up north to Charleston!! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
