  1. We are supposed to receive LTE by years end. Where I am at is in the Summerville Metro. With Boeing being here and the explosion in population due to all the Manufacturing in this area I don't see us waiting until 2014. But who am I to say. That's just my gut feeling on it. As for alternate vendors I'm not quite sure. I know there is a Time Warner headquarters less than a mile from the tower in question. Point me in a direction and I will research alternate vendors. :-) Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Is it the round base drum looking thing up on the tower itself? Or where would it be located at the site? I can stop and get a good look. It's public land. I also have a few pics if you would like to take a look. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I think.....I'm a newbie so bare with me here....but I think coverage here in The greater Charleston area is going the opposite way. When I first got my iPhone 5, there were multiple areas where my phone went into extended roam. I'm naturally assuming it switched to a Verizon tower for voice from lack of Sprint coverage. However there have been very few NV upgrades in my area, yet it is virtually never going into Roam. It seems like the coverage has spread quite a bit with just small upgrades around here. Just the thoughts of a newbie. Things are improving around here....coverage wise....data speeds are still sub par. I'm sticking it out! When this is all said and done i believe Sprint will be the best option in wireless...for a multitude of reasons. I left Big Red in December and I'm not going back! My wallet loves me alit more these days! :-) Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  4. There is a boomer tower (operated by American Tower) out behind my house. It is already live with Verizon LTE, and AT&T LTE. It also carries T-mobile 3G and I saw a Cricket Wireless box out there as well. The Telco provider for the tower is listed as Bellsouth(AT&T), my question is: Given the above circumstances are the odds not pretty high that Sprint getting Backhaul to this site not an issue? It should already have Fiber to the sight, or does it require another fiber line entirely? Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  5. I'm hoping that building penetration improves with NV! Because in building coverage around charleston is almost 0! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  6. Will do man. Heading over there now. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  7. I saw those Jim bob. I was looking for the soldiers on the grounds feedback. Thanks for the link tho! Can't wait until my precious Charleston SC lights up! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
  8. If those speeds above are any indication I am gonna be loving me some Sprint in "the coming months"
  9. Quite a while means....by Christmas or by next 4th of July lol. I went out to a couple of sites today. One of which was on the s4gru map as being 3G NV complete. And my speed tests on that site were impressive for 3G. Rivaled my previous speeds on my iPhone 4 I had with Verizon!
  10. http://imageshack.us/a/img854/8233/imagesmoy.jpg Here's another shot I got. Daniel Ps: this tower is located on old trolley rd. Summerville SC 29485, just north west of charleston.
  11. Ok here goes lol like I said they aren't that close up. Best I could do with my iPhone. Daniel http://imageshack.us/a/img442/5407/imageihh.jpg
  12. Can any of you guys tell me what all this is? I got as close as I could, being as that it is located in a fire depth. Parking lot and I don't wanna look suspicious. I apologize for being a noob....how do I get these pics of this tower to post?
  13. Hey guys I joined yesterday and will be becoming a sponsor on Friday. I am going to an all weekend Rock show in Charlotte the weekend of May 3-5. My question is.... The how strong is the coverage in charlotte(specifically the lowes motor speedway area). As I said I have iPhone 5 and living in Charkeston SC thus should be the first time I get to test drive the Netwofk vision LTE fit the first time. Should my expectations be low or is Charlotte pretty strong with their LTE. Hoping not for a letdown. Thanks guys, Daniel
  14. I appreciate the welcome guys. I will most definitely become a sponsor ASAP. Like I say, I find the technology fascinating. I find myself gazing up at the towers around charleston on my drive home, wondering how they work. While I would love the 4G speeds on my iPhone and turn this thing lose on the LTE pipeline, I can wait til they upgrade us. The idea of them overhauling these towers is just interesting to me. I hope to learn from this site what to look for as the techs go up this 300 ft tower in my backyard! I think it is a multi carrier tower tho. Because it has antennas up and down this thing lol. I will donate to the site this week. Thanks again guys for the welcome, Daniel
  15. Btw....I would download your app but the 3G is so bad here that I cannot connect to the App Store. I will install it when I get home and onto my TWC wifi. Thanks
  16. Hi, Names Daniel. I was just curious as to why South Carolina as a general whole, according to the sensorly maps is to date completely void of 4G coverage. I recently left Verizon after 10 years of constant price increases to join sprint. I have an iPhone 5 and would love to enjoy sprints 4g LTE but it appears the SC and Charleston specifically are not on any list I have found anywhere. I have patience and will wait however long it takes, was just curious as to some real info on what to expect here specifically with network vision. I have read the "coming soon" text from sprint, looking for some real activity in our area. This wireless technology fascinates me! The spectrum this and spectrum that talk is exciting and educational! Thanks in advance, Daniel
