Orlando Status: Partial LTE Launch/Full Builds Continuing NV Sites Accepted = 60% LTE Sites Accepted = 54% Anticipated LTE Launch = Fall 2013 (Melbourne/Palm Bay and Port St. Lucie launched 4/18/2013, Daytona Beach/Palm Coast launched 7/30/2013) Original Scheduled Completion = May 2013 Current Production Rate Completion = February 2014 yeah, I think that sounds like a reasonable time frame considering the progress made since the last update

Sprint LTE Coverage Maps via Sensorly
UCFKnight replied to S4GRU's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
guess I haven't gotten the update yet as the mapping hasn't changed back to Google Maps. Still got that crappy looking, slow loading map -
seeing progress, was out walking my dog just a little bit ago and Signalcheck was blowing up on my phone. Looks like the tower in my neighborhood is in testing mode. Was picking up an unusable LTE signal and the address it lists is the exact location of a former Nextel tower.

That was the signal you were probably getting from the Winter Park Towers, it extends out to quite a distance. As for the homes in Baldwin Park, they are priced from $500,000 to $1,000,000

Yes but the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China are entirely separate. Republic of China started in 1912 and encompassed all of China and Taiwan, ending its rein after WWII when it was pushed back into Taiwan by the communists during the Chinese civil war. Therefore Taiwan - nationalist, mainland China - communist. And China is apparently foolish enough to enter an armed conflict in trying to retake it even though its considered a sovereign separate country.

From the window of my office, tower was about maybe 500 yds away.

I know its on by default but I haven't noticed a change in the voice quality so far. Data connection appears to be the same. If Sprint gets the Nexus 5 in store I am not waiting for HTC to decide whether they want to upgrade us or not, I'm jumping.

http://community.sprint.com/baw/message/647651#647651 10/02 HTC EVO 4G LTE Software Update - 3.17.651.4 Enhancements/Fixes: - HTC Sense stability improvements - HD Voice default enablement Important Notes: - Software version is: 3.17.651.4 - Updates may be released in stages. When checking for the update, you may receive a message that no update is available, check back later or wait until the update notification is sent to your device. looks like nothing more than a minor update for a few fixes and HD Voice, doubt it'll be anything more than that

I would like to see radio performance results as well, see how it does with both 1900/2600 LTE

Sprint LTE Coverage Maps via Sensorly
UCFKnight replied to S4GRU's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I agree, as after using it yesterday I ended up uninstalling it. The new maps looks absolutely dreadful from what it was and usability took a decline. -
That's all?! I get better speeds at my office than that.

Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina Voice/Data Outage
UCFKnight replied to flycuban's topic in General Topics
no problems in Orlando -
well I know in the released documents that went through the FCC (assuming it was the Nexus 5), it was compatible with every carrier but Verizon. Granted Sprint did make mistakes with the previous Nexus but they may have made good with Google since then - then again maybe not.

think I'll be using my upgrade for this

that's usually how it is, a lot of businesses are hurting over there because of the high rent and there are a number of spaces right off New Broad St that are available but nobody is coming in. You do see a lot of expensive cars over there though, I had an Audi R8 behind me and a Lamborghini in front of me at one time going through there.

Winter Park actually ends at the dog park as south of the dog park is the Baldwin Park neighborhood, which used to be the Naval Training Center/military base. Its Orlando's way of trying to make their own Winter Park, but haven't quite succeeded with the Town center, at least in the way of attracting business while having high rental costs. Homes are rather expensive as well.

I was on campus a few weeks ago for my job, at the Morgridge International Reading Center and data speeds were definitely abysmal.

Teaser: Megalith, megahertz...Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3
UCFKnight commented on WiWavelength's blog entry in The Wall
you know, considering this is a large device specifically for Sprint, do you think they would add the old app? -
I sent LlabTooFer a tweet regarding this article and he said the EVO is still getting the update, though no timeline. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
-
All I see for Sprint are 1900/2100 mhz frequencies, so its not a tri-band

yeah, my upgrade is in January and I'm looking at the next Nexus or Samsung as I don't see HTC surviving if they continue this death spiral. Definitely has to be a tri-band.

http://www.androidheadlines.com/2013/09/android-4-3-hitting-us-based-htc-one-models-soon-says-htc-insider.html looks like the EVO LTE is getting the same treatment as the One S, Sense 5 update has been denied.

yep, the fat PS3's are known to have overheating issues. This was fixed with the smaller PS3's, and its likely the PS4 won't have this problem given the amount of vents on the back and the processor already being out for quite some time. The PS4 is also smaller than the PS3 slim models. The Xbox One is bigger than the Xbox 360.

The 60GB is considered Playstation gold, the only problem is that its the console with the highest failure percentage as it was using a 1st generation processor that had heating issues. I have my original 60GB but its sitting in a corner as I have to get it repaired from the "yellow light of death". The newer PS3's use smaller and more efficient processors over the first gen ones. The 60GB also still goes for a lot of money online too.
