  1. Well in reality both consoles are about on par. Sony has said the PS4 is 10x as powerful as the PS3, though both the PS3 and PS4 are about evenly matched at 1.8 for PS3 and 1.84 teraflops for PS4, though they use entirely different chipsets. PS3 uses Sony's proprietary Cell processor, while PS4 and Xbox One use older AMD x86 processors. The PS4 does have the edge though with memory as its using GDDR5 over the Xbox One using DDR3. DDR3 is good for lower latency and they have an embedded eSRAM chip to help the bandwidth side but it won't be pumping out the same amount of bandwidth the PS4 can do. It will also help lower development costs and times now that both are using the exact same processor, possibly prices on games too but don't hold your breath on that one.
  2. Well that changed when PS4 was announced, as online multiplayer is a premium feature with the exception for free to play multiplayer games such as MMO's and other already announced games that were F2P. I think Sony did good on that too, because when you look at the rest of what you are getting by becoming a subscriber, the package is worth it. I was skeptical on becoming a plus subscriber, but I'm definitely going to get a subscription.
  3. already got my PS4 preordered, launch edition. Not buying Microsoft's jank system, their reversal of past statements just tells me they are copying whatever Sony is going to do. Before it was DRM, always on, etc and then immediately after Sony whooped them at E3 it was retract and copy.
  4. definitely can't wait for the tri-band phones, granted we won't have LTE Release 10 (Advanced) for some time, but I think we'll be fine with 1900/2600
  5. one of a few speedtests I did, and this was from INSIDE the office. I'm assuming the tower was SW of my position as the signal was getting stronger as I was walking in that direction, I'll try and find it when I go in tomorrow.
  6. http://htcsource.com/2013/08/htc-one-x-android-4-2-2-update-with-sense-5-commences-rollout-in-europe/ HTC One X now receiving Sense 5 and Android 4.2.2 in Europe, shouldn't be too long for the EVO - provided Sprint doesn't decide to screw us.
  7. well if HTC goes Chinese then I am definitely going either Samsung or Nexus
  8. Update on that tower, it was being used by both Sprint and T-Mobile. Sprint has said that they are going to deploy a mobile cell site to temporarily provide coverage while they figure out what to do about the tower. T-Mobile had no comment.
  9. Well I guess Ericsson is going to have to come back out once that tower comes crashing down, unless upgrades haven't been completed yet on it

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

we'll probably have to find out when the EVO gets its Sense 5 update, as I'm sure there will be an updated radio and firmware. Maybe they've possibly managed a fix at Sprint, or maybe not.
  11. There is LTE available in that area, though the signal is weak, I'm assuming its coming from the tower on Minnesota or the one over on Lee Rd.

  13. The One X+ is apparently getting the Sense 5 Android 4.2.2 update in Taiwan today, Europe is supposed to be getting it sometime next week. Shouldn't be long now for the EVO and other models
